I have been doing Kassandra’s yoga classes on YouTube for a while now and I wanted to support her by bying her book.
This follows along with what I was already used to: clear instructions from a gentle guide and it shows she has tons of experience in practicing yoga and teaching others.
I’m looking forward to coming back to these classes and this book over and over again.
I am a fan of Kassandra's YouTube channel so I was predisposed to like this book. This book offers a good selection of short practices for different seasons, most of which are beginner friendly. There are also what she calls "listicles" that provide a tie to other philosophies compatible to yoga (music, crystals, aromatherapy). As always, she reminds the reader to use what works and ignore what doesn't.
Adored this book. Perfect for beginners or advanced practitioners alike, Kassandra takes you through themed yoga practices for each season, with listicles of accompanying music, crystals, and scents to inspire you. Soothing, motivating, and good for the soul.
I adore practicing yoga with Kassandra in YouTube. She's been a huge influence in getting me to practice every day and she's taught this yoga dabeler an immense amount! I was so excited to grab up her new book, it took me a while to publish my review as I wanted to do many of the session in the book and get a feel for the other exercises and wellness practices in the book. A plethora of information and I highly recommend for any yoga fan, and especially for anyone who wants a good place to start up a new yoga routine. I LOVE KASSANDRA!!❤️
This is a beautifully presented book that clearly lays out yoga sequences suitable for everyone. Kassandra has outlined how each sequence can fit into your routine throughout the year, leaning into the seasons and lunar cycles. She has also included “Listicles” throughout with options for music to listen to, books to read, crystals and essential oils to use at each stage. She’s even included recipes. QR codes will take you to specific yoga videos, meditations and playlists. It really is a beautiful book and an especially nice way to get started on your yoga journey. I’m sure as you progress your practice will deepen using this book.
Wonderful practices for mind and body. The affirmations are thoughtful and relevant. Kassandra is easy to follow and I always feel better after spending time on the mat with her. The book is cohesive in its focus on the seasons and moon cycle. I loved the careful explanation behind the tea ceremony. That is one of many things that will stick with me after reading. I will be continuously going back to the pages of this book.
I love Yoga with Kassandra on YouTube and have done a few of her challenges. I got this book because reading is my jam and I like seeing the photos. The descriptions of the poses are great. I love that I can scan the code to get the video and audio versions. Picked this up in spring just before summer solstice and plan to jump in with what my abilities allow.
This is an absolutely beautiful book! I already love her YouTube videos, so I had to support her further in purchasing her book. It is going to be an amazing book to go thru all year long. The book has QR codes to watch the videos and listen to the audio that go along with the book.
I absolutely LOVE Kassandra! I found her on you tube and have loved her practice, she is a beautiful teacher and gives clear instructions on how to embody your practice. I bought her book to support her and am in love with it! I use it daily and love, love, love, the seasonal practices!!
Kassandra ILY!!!! This book is super easy to follow and has a lot of information and great practices. Loved the way it was divided by season. I borrowed it from the library but will definitely be purchasing it so I can refer to it often!
I have been following Kassandra's yoga classes for two past years. I bought her book to support her work. The book is nicely designed, includes colourful and thought through photographs.
I pre-ordered this much anticipated book from YouTube yoga instructor and vlogger, Kassandra Reinhardt, in complete faith. As the owner of her first book, Yin Yoga: Stretch the Mindful Way, I was confident that Year of Yoga would be another great resource. Kassandra has once again delivered!
First of all, I love the size. I have yoga books at home that are huge, making them cumbersome to actually use during your practice. It isn't too small, either - it has perfect Goldlilocks dimensions and feels good in my hands. If doing yoga from a book isn't your cup of tea, don't let that stop you. There are QR codes throughout the book to link you to the video classes and meditations.
The book is beautifully published with discrete and pretty graphics throughout the pages and clear photographs of Kassandra demonstrating the poses along with printed directions. There is even more content than I anticipated: 22 yoga sequences including vinyasa, hatha and yin; seasonal meditations; breath exercises (pranayam) and of course, affirmations. One of the reasons I gravitate to Kassandra's YouTube classes is her incorporation of positive affirmations - and there are many provided! More than enough to choose from for every mood, topic, bad day and good day.
Kassandra also offers up some seasonal rituals and information on crystals, oils, music, book suggestions and more. The writing and editing in this book are both well done, and it's a pleasure to read. It's as if Kassandra is sitting there conversing with you.
