My Heart Belongs to a Dope Boy: D-Nice & Baby
Imagine being behind the scenes—watching the one and only person you love in this world more than life itself, be adored by another. That’s D-Nice’s current situation. He and Baby grew up together thick as thieves—when you saw one, you saw the other. D-Nice has been harboring his true feelings for her throughout their childhood but, refuses to let it go unnoticed, now that they’re all grown up. Right when he gets up the courage to tell her how he truly feels, he gets intercepted by long-time best friend, Soho. He swoops in and sweeps Baby off her feet, leaving D-Nice angered, and Baby and Soho to wonder why. Love has been known to make people do some irrational things. In this case, it’s no different for D-Nice.

Nice
A nice little read, with a little drama. The characters all have a crazy side and I can't imagine what is going to happen next. Secret feeling have been revealed and I know there is going to be some issues because of it.

December 3, 2022This is so slow. At 60% it's revealed Toshy, D-Nice's God sister is Baby. Also it's not revealed she's not his biological sister until 24% of the way through the book.
Let's talk about the blurb, particularly this part: "(Soho) swoops in and sweeps Baby off her feet, leaving D-Nice angered, and Baby and Soho to wonder why." I don't think either of them were confused by D-Nice's anger. Soho is married to some other woman and is cheating on Toshy/Baby. This is revealed in the first few pages. As his friend and partner, D-Nice knew this. Toshy finds out too. There's no hint of D-Nice harboring feelings for Toshy/Baby. He's actually dating and living with Soho's sister!
Also Toshy/Baby was getting on my nerves. She was very childish. I understand she's only 18, but it felt like she sometimes didn't have common sense. I don't know how she was so clueless and spoiled. D-Nice gave her money, but it's not like he was a boss. He had money but still lived in the projects.

Ohhh no.....
I can not wait for pt 2 !! Im so excited on how this is going lol I love Kincaid and Toshy together ❤ I didn't see it going there at first, but babeee I'm 4 it lol I can't stand soho or Zacarhea. I almost felt like THEY was undercover lol I hope it work out for them .... im scared she is going to find out about what he did as far as the abortion 😳. I'm glad she didn't have his baby!! Im also hear for Montoya and his brother relationship... he definitely Bae too!! Im not liking the father BM 🙄 she seem clueless and sneaky. Even though I don't like the father... please hurry with part 2😭

I'm ready to see what part 2 brings for these 4
I wasn't sure how this story would go based upon the first chapter but the more I read, the more intrigued I was about D-Nice, Toshy, Montoya, and Jidenna. Soho deserves everything coming to him for how he did Toshy though. I'm ready to see what part 2 brings because more money, more problems and I know some haters about to cause some issues for these two couples or possible couples.

Damn this book was good I didn’t expect it to be a part two but it’s needed. Everything that happened in part one really took me to another level. I can’t wait to see what will happen next because it’s sure to be drama. I think jidenna gonna tell what she heard and soho gonna come for d-nice.

Part 2 me please
I had no idea in the beginning that Baby was his "sister", didn't know that she wasn't really his sister. I hate that D-Nice waited to the end to tell her how he feels about her. Toshy and Kincaid should be together. Soho is a whole you know what and his sister, I literally don't like her.

D-Nice is not your average hood dude. He’s actually a thinker and moves very smart. Though growing up in the hood Baby is green. I get why D-Nice kept her away but half of the stuff wouldn’t have happened if she wasn’t so sheltered. She simply just didn’t know any better. I’m ready for part 2 to see how things lay out.

Good Read
This is my first read by this author. It started off kinda slow, but it quickly picked up. So much was happening and kept me wondering what's going on. I'm glad D-Nice and Baby, finally expressed their feelings for each other. I can't wait to see how Soho and Zackarae respond to the new couple.

Great Read
It didn't take much to realize Kincaid was in love with Toshy. His actions spoke well. Sohoe and Zackarae knew it as well, which is why they were so insecure concerning their relationship. Jidhena has possibly found him a woman, but made a serious mistake with his father's wife. Can't wait to see what part two has in store!

Idk how she did it but this book left me hot n ready and hanging off the cliff all at the same time!! You better go girl I can’t wait to get to boom 2 bcz this ending I figured out I just didn’t think we’d know before the story ended …. So yes this book is worth the time you spend reading.
