I didn't enjoy this one.
It was a pretty much a mess from start to finish.
Story issues
1) The relationship between the three male leads was poorly explained.
2) The male leads spying and paying for info from people who should have been loyal to the female lead while she was away at college was creepy and disrespectful and them failing to warn her these people were not to be trusted was just plain irresponsible.
3) The female lead came off as way too emotionally experienced and insightful for someone who was only twenty-one, had never lived on her own, had no real life experience, had an emotionally distant father, no mother, only one friend ever and zero romantic experience.
4) The female lead came off as way too sexual knowledgeable and accepting for someone who had zero sexual experience (at the least, she should have jerked away when someone started shoving their thumb up her arse without any prep or lube instead of leaning into it).
5) The sex scene jumped all over the place, making it confusing and disjointed, rather than hot.
6) The exploration of orgasm denial was poorly done and failed to hit the psychological and emotional heart of it
7) Devon was suppose to simply be the conductor with her at the center but he made himself the center and his grip on the room continually slipped, making him a poor and irresponsible dom (they had actually remodeled the room for him to conduct from behind a two-way mirror with a speaker but it was never used.)
8) “You want that cherry, don’t you, Reid?”“Do you want Reid to pop your cherry?”“Her cherry is mine.”“I feel the cherry” Really guys? You're in your thirties and
that
is how you refer to a young woman entrusting you with her first sexual experience.
9) I’m missing the piece bringing us all together, both in and outside the bedroom. No honey, they were already together in and out of the bedroom and have been fifteen years; you're just a pretty, moldable add-on. Oh, and I think you mean, 'I'm the missing piece', not 'I'm missing the piece'.
And that last is just one example of grandiose, romantic statements being made that are not supported by the story. 'I love you' was probably the most egregious, given the male leads demonstrated little care for the female lead's experience, instead concentrating on their own and each others.
Do not recommend.
