Kaitlyn Michelle Funk is an author and webcomic artist. She spent the first part of her life searching for the perfect career. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, she explored different jobs. However, after a great deal of experimentation, she discovered that creating stories, something she'd been doing her whole life, is her true passion.

Now, she spends most days writing novels and drawing webcomics in the romance genre. In her free time, Kaitlyn loves being with her husband and cat. She also enjoys hiking, archery, and horseback riding.

She publishes webcomics and other art under the handle "KittyKatPlant," on Webtoon, Twitter, Instagram, and Patreon.

What does it mean, to love someone with your whole heart? What if loving someone would only hurt the happiness of those you're responsible for? Can you bear the cost of that sacrifice?

"The King's Gift" follows Savina's (at times dangerous) journey to discover exactly how far she will go for those she loves, and the loss she faces with either side of that decision.

This book captivated me from the infancy of its concept and has never failed to provide love and laughs through its compelling story and intricate characters. The humanity of each character shines through; they make mistakes, they are awkward when thrown into new situations, and they love. That love can be tentative and shy, deep and steadfast, or even forged through long tearful nights and dire straits. With every new situation they encounter, the path to the right decision becomes increasingly elusive and intriguing!

Such a great book! The characters each face their own struggles, you find yourself turning page after page desperate to find out how everything will turn out all right! Here's hoping a handsome knight like Rowan will turn up on my doorstep soon :)
