Amazing, interesting read!!
A little action, some romance, and a teenage trying to do the right thing, and you got an awesome story!!

This book just starts right away, and it doesn't really slow down until the end, which was a great ending I say!!

Missing at Full Moon Mine kept me captivated and I finished it in just a few hours! The book flowed with perfect pacing, always moving the plot forward and weaving the romance into the mystery in a way that kept made it feel like real life.

Cash Whitlow is missing and his Aunt Rebecca doesn't know where to turn, until she meets Deputy Wes Landry. He listens to her concerns about her missing nephew, even if he is nineteen. There's an immediate draw there that they notice and want to explore, but first, they must find Cash.

The book has a swath of characters and any of them could be the red herring in the story. The plot was so well done that writing much more would lead to spoilers I don't want to give.

If you love a fast-paced Intrigue with a couple to root for and a mystery that will clearly continue into the next book, you don't want to miss Missing at Full Moon Mine.

This was a good book but it ended before it should have. There were to many "loose ends" and unanswered questions.

Terrific book. The suspense starts immediately, as Rebecca arrives at the sheriff's office to report that her nephew is missing. Cash is a nineteen-year-old young man who decided to put his energies toward a career in climbing after dealing with addiction for several years. To do that, he moved from California to Eagle Mountain to live with his aunt. When he doesn't come home one night and doesn't answer texts or calls, she worries that something happened to him. Deputy Wes Landry takes her report.

I loved that Wes took Rebecca's fears seriously and didn't write off Cash as an irresponsible teen. He follows up on the information she gave him and what he learns leads him to believe she is correct. I also liked how he included Rebecca in his investigation, realizing that Cash's friends are more likely to talk to her than "the law." Wes's willingness to work with her makes it easier for her to trust him.

The story immediately sucked me in. The more that Wes and Rebecca learned, the more worried they became about Cash and his safety. None of his climbing friends have seen or heard from him. Who is the angry, threatening man looking for him, and why was he in disguise? Who is the mysterious rancher named Bart Smith, and why is he so secretive? Why is Trey Allerton so interested in Cash's disappearance? And has Mr. Kramer, the paranoid miner at Full Moon Mine, seen Cash? The tension ramps up when Wes and Rebecca, continuing their boots-on-the-ground search for Cash, come under fire. An unexpected encounter answers some of their questions but opens up more. I was on the edge of my seat during this confrontation, wondering who was behind it and how they would get out of it. I wasn't too surprised by the shooter's identity, but there were still some unanswered questions.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Wes and Rebecca. The sparks between them were evident from the start, but Wes hesitated to get involved with someone linked to his investigation. He'd done that once before, and it didn't turn out well. I liked seeing them get to know each other while their attraction grew stronger. The amount of time they spent together, combined with its intensity, accelerated the pace of their involvement. I loved the ending and seeing their plans for the future.

The series arc of Trey Allerton and his proposed youth ranch continued to develop. His apparent use of Courtney's daughter Ashlyn to control Courtney is disturbing, as is the way he takes her along on his "business" trips. His lack of visible progress on the project is suspicious, and many people wonder what kind of con he is running. Trey's interest in Cash's disappearance and his unpleasant insinuations about Cash and his whereabouts seems especially suspicious. I can't wait for the next book to see what will happen.

As a Harlequin Intrigue novel where the mystery is supposed to be resolved at the end, this failed miserably.

I'm giving it two stars because it was readable.

The premise is that Rebecca Whitlow's nephew Cash is missing. The teenager, a dedicated rock climber, was staying with his aunt in Colorado when he left her home one morning and didn't return. Sheriff's Deputy Wes Landry is tasked with investigating the case.

The mystery gets interesting when one of the nephew's friends is found dead and another tells how the two of them had accompanied him on an odd job interview for some farm work. The man interviewing him has them meet at an abandoned gas station rather than at his farm, and he's wearing an obvious disguise. Too many red flags make Cash warn him against taking the job.

The author builds some suspense by having a number of puzzling characters and events. The romance between Rebecca and Wes takes a while to start, but that's not really a problem in a Harlequin Intrigue novel.

Spoiler alert regarding the rest of this review.

The problem is that, although Cash is ultimately found, the man shooting at him is never identified. This is a major - the major - mystery. He's still out there, he still thinks Cash knows too much, and so he's still a threat to Cash. Cash tells his aunt that he plans to return to his home in California, but even though that might protect him from the shooter, it does not resolve the mystery.

Basically, the book ends with Rebecca being willing to drop the investigation because Cash is safe, but come on. Police procedure (or sheriff's procedure?) would be that the investigation continue. Wes does check one suspect, but he just accepts the suspect's girlfriend's word that they were gone that day. He doesn't even attempt to verify their whereabouts because, you know, the book has to end.

The book is supposed to be a standalone novel, even though it's one of a series. I suspect the mystery may be resolved in the final book of the series simply because that book is about the suspect's girlfriend. But that's not fair. The main mystery of one book shouldn't be a multi-book story arc. I felt cheated.

Rebecca's nephew is a rock climber who has gone missing recently. Worried that he might be hurt or maybe slipping into hold habits she tries to trace his a last whereabouts. Thankfully Deputy Wes is willing to help out but the more they did into this case it soon looks like there is something deeper going on when they keep running into some shady characters.

This was an interesting read. Like there was so much going on with this book and I just couldn't put it down. Because I was first wondering if it really was as simple as the newphew falling from his rock climbing hobby, if that's the case time is of the essence with getting help with injuries. But then with each shady character met you can't help but wonder if this or that person is connected and if something is completely different happening differently from the rock climbing. One thing is for sure is Rebecca's love for her newphew and would do anything to make sure he's safe. Overall great read I enjoyed it.

I have loved this series sense the beginning. This series keep a person guessing to the very end and even into the next book. I am looking forward to the last book. I really hate to see this series end.
These books are hard to put down.
