I'm gone. I'm falling for this man. He's my knight in a leather cut. He's taken me away from the darkness. Even if it's only for a night.

4.5 stars!

Trigger warning:

Going into a MC novel, I always expect a certain level of darkness and angst, and this story was no different. The things that Kinsley has suffered at the hands of the Disciples MC were unspeakable and horrific, but I adored her strength and resilience in the face of what would break so many others. Stag was the epitome of a protective and charming alpha, and I loved the slow yet irresistible build between Kinsley and Stag. The ending was satisfying as Kinsley finally finds some vengeance for all she has suffered, and I definitely want to continue this series for Mayhem's story! ♡

ARC READ (Feb 17-21, 2021)
Oh my word, Kinsley Anderson’s story definitely broke me before it made me whole again. At fifteen she and her best friend Carlton thought they were going on an innocent joyride in a borrowed car from her fathers shop. Only there were things going on behind the scenes no one ever expected. The car crash stole not only her best friends life but her future as well.

Carlton was the son of Viper, the President of the Hangman’s Disciples, a neighboring MC. And in what can only be called an obscene atonement, Kinsley’s dad Jaws, the President of the Fury Vipers, offers up Kinsley’s life. Becoming the Hangman’s property is tantamount to sending her to be tortured. For a little more than three years Kinsley is abused, degraded, and defiled. She’s routinely visited by the club’s doctor to repair the injuries inflicted on her.

Viper feels comfortable in level of compliance he receives from Kinsley and allows her freedom to leave Hangman Disciples territory on weekends. She’s finally allowed to go home. Thankfully Kinsley isn’t broken she’s biding her time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to defect. And meeting Stag gives her not only the courage but the backing to finally break free.

Stag patched into the Fury Vipers while Kinsley was away. He’s their road captain and best friends with Kinsley’s older brother Ace. The new face in the clubhouse isn’t what steals Kinsley’s breath, it’s the man himself. These two are instantly attracted to each other and as time progresses, their attractions become unavoidable. I love that he helps her through her trauma on her terms. He may push but he does it in a way to help her realize what it is she needs. He offers her control while guiding her in healthy ways. And to Kinsley’s credit she may be used to the ways the club operates but she doesn’t allow herself to be run over by anyone. She owns her place within the club.

Now I’m admittedly not an MC reader so many things about the world that could be missing would blow over my head. I saw this story as a budding romance between two people set within a world where the rules of a MC existed. There’s club women, Church, cuts, old lady’s, rank structure that needs to be followed. There’s rivalries and alliances. There’s chapters in other states. Basically new terms for me but similar characteristics and structure to a mafia romance.

I am excited for the next installment in this story and to see more from the Fury Viper’s MC.

This book was dark and gritty. It pulled at my heart, broke me, and put me back together. Having met Kinsley in Bloody Union I was anxious for her story. I was not prepared for where it would take me.

The love between the main characters is beautiful. It’s the external factors that hurt. I say if you have any triggers, heed the warning that comes with this story. The author does a phenomenal job of bringing you into the moment and emotions of the characters.

🖤 18-19yo h, MC Prez daughter

This rating's on me. From other reviews, it's clear that there is an audience for this book and I am NOT it. I did not read the reviews before trying out this free kindle book and it was not for me in any way—please don't dive into this one without reading the following trigger warnings.

Trigger warnings: sexual abuse, repeated rape, miscarriage, torture, psychological trauma and abuse, and a lack of healing time/understanding of that trauma between the main character and the male love interest.

It’s been a year since I’ve gotten lost in a Brooke Summers’ world and I have missed her! I am so happy she has decided to dive into an MC world because she is really good with the explosive, wait, what just happened?, ohhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhh, noooooooooo, BAM … I think you get my gist, lol

Most MC series have some sort of dark & dangerous aspect to them and within that dark and dangerous you get a lot of different shades. This particular story / series is dark. There’s no shade. Not really. Kinsley Anderson is the focus of this story. It’s really all about her and her growth. Yes, there’s the club and her love interest etc etc but what stands out most is Kinsley. Everything that happens in this story is one plot point after another dealing with where she’s been and where she’s going. It is graphic and not for anyone with delicate sensibilities. Trust every single warning you read about triggers because they are there. I’m making a point of focusing on this because I’d hate for well thought out storyline with unbelievably good character development to not get the praise it deserves because a reader may not have known this or that about the plot. So, I’m screaming it now, HEED THE WARNINGS!

I was all up in my feelings one way or another from the beginning until the very end of this story. Some might say this story ends on a cliffhanger, but it doesn’t really. It’s just a prelude to what’s to come next. Stag and Kinsley are solid at the end of this story so no worries there :) It’s a rocky and jagged path for them, but it is filled with a huge helping of heart & hope. What Kinsley endured at such a young age, I truly have no words for, but Brooke did and she did her story good!

If you’re a fan of gritty MC romances, this is one you won’t want to miss!

Basically I skimmed so much I’m categorizing this as DNF—This is so far fetched that it’s unreadable for me. I can’t believe all the 5 star ratings. I just see tons of plot holes to the point I can’t even… The h goes on a joy ride with her guy bff who is driving a car from the clubs auto shop. The car has been tampered with. Carlton is speeding and wrecks killing himself, Kingsley the h escapes with broken bones. For some stupid reason both her father the prez of the club and the dead boys father the prez of a rival club blame 15 yo Kingsley who was merely a passenger. As payment for her crime of being a passenger in a car wrecked by his son she is given to his father Venom. She’s a a virgin and within a month of the wreck he and 2 of his buddies gang bang her leaving her torn and bloody requiring a doctor. This rape and abuse goes on for 3 years. Supposedly she’s away at college ???? At 15 ??? She talks to her own club on the phone regularly but hasn’t seen anyone n 3 years when suddenly the rapist allows her to visit home on weeekends. This is so she can meet the H but makes absolutely zero sense. It’s basically instalove but she has to go back to the evil rapist and get raped and broken ribs a few time more… when finally Stag figures out she’s being abused.Oh and Guess what else..her father that handed her over to be constantly raped for 3 years really is NOT her father so I guess we’re supposed to feel better about that. All the bad guys get killed THE END— what a waste of time!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kinsley had led a privileged life as a Fury Vipers club princess. Until that fateful night. A life for a life. Nothing can prepare her for hell she's thrown into. Stag has finally found a home with the Fury Vipers, but once he sees Kinsley, the forbidden fruit, all that is on the line. Can Kinsley open up enough to let Stag know she's needs saving? Is Stag willing to put it all on the line for the sweet girl with the sad eyes?

Holy hell, I was not prepared for this book. I'd HIGHLY recommend reading and heeding those trigger warnings. This is a dark and painfully gritty read that completely cut me open and laid me bare. The story hooked me in on page one and did not let go until I was done reading in the middle of the night with absolutely no regrets. Great storyline that's interesting, fast paced, and well written. A couple of well placed twists. My only "complaint" is that I think it could have been longer to flesh out a couple of spots that were maybe too fast paced? Characters are all well developed and the chemistry between Stag and Kinsley was off the chain.

Stag is the first book in the Fury Viper MC. The couple receives their HEA, but the series story arc ends on a cliffhanger. Super excited for this series! Brooke Summers is a new to me author, but I'm definitely all in!

Wow!!!

Ok, let me first off saying that there are triggers warnings on a book for a reason so only read this if this is something you can handle because it does not deserve to be rated lower because of the dark, grittiness of this story.

This is definitely a one percenter club but they loved hard as well and protected their own. Kingsley was a club princess who had lived through a terrible thing. Stag was the Road Captain for the Fury Vipers MC and was friends with Kingsley’s brother. Once he saw her, he knew that she was his.

For a new series I’m hooked with this very first book and can’t wait to see what comes next.

I am already hooked by the Fury Vipers MC and this new series!
Kinsley, being the club princess, one would think was untouchable—not so!

Stag joins the MC and as soon as he sees Kinsley feels the attraction like a magnetic pull. He also knows she’s out of bounds too! So any possibility of a relationship between the two seems light-years away if ever possible. Stag is an upfront type of guy who has no time for liars, he is loyal and truly cares about his MC family. Kinsley is, from what it appears in the beginning, a bit of a brat, but an extremely loveable one. However, appearances can deceive, and gradually as we get to know more about her we discover the strong young woman she is.

I absolutely love the tie-in with Makenna from the Irish mafia, this author’s awesome previous series. The crossover, whilst not detracting from the story for people who haven’t read that series, especially Makenna’s story, book 1, Bloody Union, it does make it all the more fun for those who have read it. A very clever inclusion too.

Be prepared for the emotional turmoil while reading this story, there are times when tears were forming in my eyes and my heart was breaking for Kinsley. Simultaneously and other times too, my ire was so enraged with certain characters that I didn’t know whether to cry or yell! Such is the depth of feeling invoked by this story. This quote from Kinsley sums it up perfectly—“Memories can be beautiful… or they can be heartbreaking.”

I totally recommend this book and predict it’s going to be another sensational series by this very talented author.

Stag by Brooke Summers is the first book in her new Fury Vipers MC series. This book is told in dual POV. Reader beware this book deals with some VERY dark subject matter, and might be triggering.
Holy Mother Forking Shirt! This book will have you by the throat from chapter one! I am a huge fan of Brooke’s and her Made series is one of my absolute favorites, so I have been impatiently waiting for Kinsley’s story. You don’t need to read the Made series to start this one, but if you have then Stag will bring you back to Bloody Union (Made Series Book 1) I love seeing some of the scenes from Kinsley’s perspective. This book is crazy intense and I’m not gonna lie some scenes are very hard to stomach. That being said Brooke has done an amazing job being authentic to the 1%er lifestyle. This is very Sons of Anarchy/Mayans MC (for tv reference) The world building is phenomenal and I love that it is a spin off series because we get to see so many characters that I already love and we are introduced to so many new and amazing characters that I can’t wait to see where their stories go. The connection and chemistry between Stag and Kins is off the charts. It has an InstaLove/InstaLust feel but still feels genuine. Watching these two fall in love while still seeing all the death and destruction will pull in your heartstrings for sure. This is a phenomenal start to what I’m sure will be another favorite series. The characters are so easy to root for and the plot just keeps on hitting. This is the first book in a new series so we get a lot of new character introductions, and while I wouldn’t say it ends in a cliffhanger it does have a happy for now feel more so than a happily ever after. Can’t wait to see what happens next, if you love a gritty MC romance Brooke has you covered!

Stag & Kinsley

Warning: Check the author's warning. Great book but is super dark for part of the book.

She's growing up as the club princess and getting in trouble with her bestie, the son of another club's prez. A horrible accident puts her in the dark with no help from her club.

He saw her once and knew he wanted her. He also knew the rules--hands-off. But when he finds out about her dire situation, his protective spirit takes over the rules. Can he save her? There is so much going on they should have known. His club disappoints him. Can he make his brothers understand and help him save her?

Dark, abusive stories aren't usually my cuppa tea. However, this one grabbed me and wouldn't let go. If you start it you won't be able to put it down despite any of the situations. I love Stag, the other brothers, but there are some real baddies that need to be dealt with. Will they take care of them? Is a war brewing?

Holy this was such an emotional read, from beginning to end. Kinsley and Stag seem to have this bond from the beginning of their first meeting. I don't want to go into too many details cause i will not ruin the book, but wow the stuff she endured broke my heart for her. What an amazing read, I can not wait for more.

Kinsley is the princesss of the Fury Vipers MC. While she was once protected at all costs, an unfortunate accident one day changes the whole course of her life and everything she knows. With no more freedom, she is now at the mercy of some of the worst men out there.

Stag, fresh from prison, happens to meet the VP of the Fury Vipers MC at a bar one night and ends up getting a job and subsequently ends up joining the club, a place that will hopefully provide him a sense a belonging and a purpose. The day he sees Kinsley his whole world changes as he is immediately drawn to her; too bad she is off limits and not meant for him. Stag can sense that Kinsley has been hurt and would do anything to protect her.

I was hooked to the story from the beginning. It is extremely dark and twisted, but different from what I have read in other MC books. The author provides a note at the beginning of the book, so if that is your thing, definitely take notice because she is not kidding. While there was so much pain and trauma and darkness, I absolutely loved that KInsley was able to persevere and remain strong and get her HEA. I loved how protective the members of the club and her brother were of her and the loyalty of the members to each other and to Kinsley. I was glad Kinsley's had Malice during the most difficult moments of her life. Lastly, I think Kinsley and Stag had some serious chemistry. While I am not generally a huge fan of insta-love/lust, and there is definitely a bit of that at play when it comes to their relationship, it worked with the story and didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book at all.

This was my first book by this author and I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I always love a good MC book and I am psyched when I can read a new author and be sucked into a story line from beginning to end. I am definitely looking forward to continuing the series and cannot wait to see where the author takes these characters!

Stag by Brooke Summers
Fury Vipers MC #1

Dark fantasies exist…they honestly do…if YOU don’t have them then…perhaps move on. That said…if you do…make sure you check the trigger warnings that come with this book because it is not an easy read.

Why…

Well:
* This is after all a 1% MC Biker series and the guys are not necessarily all goodness and light
* 1%-ers might have some gold in them BUT it is not always shiny, bright, and easily visible
* The pain experienced by those on the receiving end is explicit and excruciating

I enjoy a dark steamy story from time to time and this fit the bill. I also enjoy reading new-to-me authors. I prefer MC series that are dark and gritty more than the ones with the brothers not as violent…not sure why…but this book delivered and I felt the men were definitely portrayed as people that would be there for one another, protect those they considered family, and wouldn’t mind breaking a few rules while dealing out their version of justice.

Kinsley was one strong young woman who endured more than anyone should have to. I felt for her and hoped she would eventually get away. I liked Stag as her partner because he would protect and love her and was the type of man she grew up with. They seemed to be made for one another.

As this is the beginning of a series I have a feeling more than one of the bikers will find their Old Lady and I look forward to reading the books when they come out. The hook at the end of this book does lead me to think the next book will be a doozy.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Kinsley is the daughter of the MC president so one would think that she’d be the protected princess right? Unfortunately a tragic accident early on creates an avalanche of heartache for her, that is almost unbearable (truly heartbreaking). Fast forward a few years and she’s finally coming home meeting Stag, one of the newer MC members in person for the first time. Aimless after some time prison a friendship with Ace, the MC VP, brings purpose to Stag’s life, but what’s the number one rule, no biker should touch Kinsley. Unfortunately, there’s something about Kinsley that can’t keep him away, but Kinsley is broken (warranted for sure) and she’s not sure that even Stag can keep her together. There’s a lot of anguish and challenges that this relationship has to overcome but both Kinsley and Stag are tough and their chemistry is undeniable, if only the MC doesn’t implode in the process of their relationship. Please, please, please read the content warning! I’ve read several books by this author ( I highly recommend her Irish Mafia series which intertwined with this book, so plenty of familiar faces); and she definitely has a dark and edgy vibe but the beginning of this book gutted me. It is a dark MC romance, and let me just tell you it is pitch black dark so get out your tissues, but the great thing is the females characters are quite strong which makes you want to cheer as most MC stories have weak and sometimes whiny women. If you can handle the drama you’ll soon realize this MC is not your ordinary one and it’s members, Stag included, have a great blend of tough and soft. I can’t wait for more. 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc copy of this book. All thoughts an opinions are my own.

Holy Freakin Damn.... What a ride and series start this was!!!!
From start to finish I was utterly hooked to Kinsley and Stag's emotional story. It's dark, twisted, raw, heartbreaking, breath stealing and riddled with some revenge, action and of course insta lust/love.

Fresh from prison and in a bar one night Stag meets the VP of the Fury Vipers MC who not only offers him a job but also an opening to join the club.
The club may give him a place to belong and a purpose but they have rules, and one of those club rules is that touching a club princess is forbidden.
But...... when Stag sees Kinsley he wants her 'badly'.
So...
As they say rules are meant to be broken, particularly when he notices she is in trouble. Nothing will stop Stag from helping, saving, protecting, and keeping her.
Club princess Kinsley broke my damn heart and had me shedding ugly tears. Her story had me aching, angry, gasping and rooting so badly that she would get they HEA she deserved. What a heroine though after all the trauma and heartache she had experienced she still had some strength and fight left. Bravo girl!

No spoilers will be dropped but I can say I absolutely devoured this dark MC story that had characters that drew me in, stole me heart, and left me excited for what's to come in this series.

Triggers - Summers mentions these at the beginning of the book, so if you need to tread lightly please check this out.
Bring on Book 2! I can't wait for some more Vipers!

ARC Review!
Holy shit! This is one of the best MC books I have ever read!
The story hooked me in from the very beginning and I could not put it down! Very dark, Motorcycle club, lots of trauma but also lots of romance. I was crying, swooning and so in love with their love story!
Kinsley is such a strong character and I admire her on so many levels. She’s suffered so much trauma and it had me crying so many times because her story was hard to read. I love that she still laughs and still loves. She never thought she was worthy of love after what happened but Stag proved her wrong.
Stag is PERFECTION!! He’s the ultimate bad Boy, Biker, tattoos, 🍆 piercings and he has the sweetest fucking soul ever. As soon as they made eye contact he felt everything.
He’s never kissed anyone, never called a girl baby until Her. He’s so protective and loves her so much. He treats her with so much respect, I don’t know if I’ve ever loved a book boyfriend as much as him just because he is the sweetest, he worships the ground she walks on.
The spice was delicious, Stag’s dirty talk was impeccable.
I can’t wait for the next book!

This is book one in The Fury Vipers MC Series and it is Stag and Kinsley's story and it is definitely a must read. Kinsley is the club princess and my heart broke for everything that she had been through and the pain that she had suffered. Stag hasn't had a easy life but now part of The Fury Vipers MC he realised that he has found his calling and he will do anything for and to protect his brotherhood. When Stag sees Kinsley for the first time he knows that he is in real trouble as his attraction to her is instant and strong but she is off limits and he knows that now all his plans have been derailed. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I cried while reading it, there are many twists and turns along the way and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and so addictive and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Brooke Summers is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book.

This story will just break you heart as you read and see what all happens to Kinsley. Her father the leader of the Vipers motorcycle club trades her at 15 to keep himself from getting caught doing illegal dealings. She goes through unimaginable things for three years of her life. At 19 she is finally able to see her brother and the club members she calls family. One her first visit she meets Stag, who is her brother Ace’s most trusted friend, she starts to have feelings for him. Stag has heard nothing but wonderful things about the princess, Kinsley. He thinks she is the prettiest thing he has ever seen and loves her spirit. Stag starts to feel like something is really off and he is determined to figure out what has happened to Kinsley, while she was supposedly away at school. She shows she is almost broken and he is determined to be the one to help heal her. Will Ace allow Stag to hook up with his sister and will Kinsley finally be free to live her life without fear? Or read below!

This was a great start to a new series! It's the first book I'm reading by Brooke Summers and I'm looking forward to reading others. This is a very intense, dark read that touches on a lot of difficult topics. I think the author handled these triggers really well - she wrote about rape and abuse in an honest, straightforward manner. The main female lead, Kinsley, was tough despite everything she had gone through. She was incredibly brave and loyal to her friends and family.

Stag was just the right amount of possessive and totally in love with Kinsley. I loved watching the two of them get closer and watching that protective side come out in Stag. He was just what Kinsley needed, always putting her fears of shame and unworthiness to rest.

I haven't really read many biker club romances before so this is a new area to me, but I'm excited to delve more into this world now! Looking forward to the other books in what is sure to be a great series!

A great first book in a new series by Brooke Summers. Kinsley and Stag were smoking hot and their attraction was off the charts. Kinsley as been through so much trauma in her young life but Stag is the only one who understands her and knows that all is not as it seems. An instant attraction between them but unfortunately Stag resists as long as he an because Kinsley is the MC Princess and she is off limits. When these two finally get together it is truly explosive and Stag is more than happy to take his punishment for being with the Kinsley. My heart kept on breaking for Kinsley for all she had to endure and lost at the hands of a rival club but I was glad that with Stag and the rest of her club to help her and support her she is able to overcome her traumatic past. A great read that I loved and found hard to put down. I am eager to get my hands on the next book in this series.

A hellish incident brought Kinsley a world of pain and devastation for years. Everyone knew her as the "princess" of the Hell's Vipers MC,and a happy go lucky girl, but the enormity of her situation painted a different picture, when she was back in her dark existence.
Stag was fresh out of jail when he found the MC,and he knew he'd found his purpose in life, his family. The minute he saw the forbidden fruit that was Kinsley,he knew,he just knew...she wanted just one moment of happiness with one of the only people she felt safe with.
Both Stag and the club were determined to bring normality back, and rid themselves of the bad...so many secrets came to light and big decisions had to be made for the greater of good.
The fire and passion between Stag and his girl was exactly that...on fire!
So looking forward to getting in the head of Mayhem next, and finding out what makes him tick!

This book broke my heart. Kinsley is abused and used so much that I don’t think she knows where the beginning is. Stag takes one look at her and knows something is terribly wrong. He sets about to make her world right. This storyline is full of hurt, betrayal and new beginnings. Excellent writing.

Wow! This book was truly so amazing that I am at a loss at where to start. Kinsley's story killed me and then Stag coming in and turning everything upside down for her. I truly loved this story and how it was written, some of the story was hard to read but Brooke Summers did an amazing job telling it without sensationalizing the parts of this story that were so hard to read. Amazing story and I can't wait for more from this author and the continuation of this series.

Brooke Summers brings a story to life and keep you entranced the whole way through. I have been dying for Kinsley book and wasn’t disappointed. The true life of an MC was lived through her eyes. Her heart and her struggle was brought through every word. You have the story of Kinsley from teenager to adult. The love and the struggles and the heartbreak. And in the end that true love through it all with Stag. Stag is who Kinsley needed. It’s hard to explain a story without giving it away. I loved that Makenna was brought in from Made series but you couldn’t tell Kinsley story without Makenna. I can’t wait for more! As always Brooke is a one click buy for me and even though this is a ARC is still help support our authors.

Stag by Brooke Summers is book 1 in the Fury Vipers MC series….and WOW!!! What a start to a series!!!! Un-freaking-putdownable!!!! It is the story of Stag and Kinsley. Her best friend dies and its her fault…..so, she will pay for his death….forever…and in the most horrible of ways.

Man, oh man!!! Definitely not for the weak of heart!!!! This torturous, mind-bending, excruciatingly degrading story had me in its grip….immediately and without letting go!!! This woman is so strong and is intensely resilient. Stag is there for her….when all seems lost.

One of the best, most engrossing reads of the year!!!! EXCELLENT!!!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I love this author all her books I’ve read are soo good you don’t want to put it down ! And she has done it again… once started every spare minute I’m picking it up again ! Stag… what to say he is mighty fine, mighty fine indeed ! Kingsley is as tough as you can get an amazing girl turned into a woman. Great to read of Makenna again love it. This book shows you what happens when you mess with the wrong people . This book is Brutal, filled with pain and is raw, puts tears in your eyes, but there’s also laughter and happiness, I’ve never been more happier when someone in the book kills another. If you love MC this is a DEFinate must read and it’s only the beginning… the ending OMG bring on the next book …Mayhem.

First if you have triggers be warned. This was a fantastic book. I loved it, now of course there were a lot of scenes that were hard to read but that is part of the MC world. Boy was Kinsley one tough girl. She definitely went through hell but she never stopped fighting. Stag, well WOW what a man. One who saw what he wanted then went after it no matter what he had to go through. After everything that Stag and Kinsley went through I am so glad they got their hea. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.

Stag was a fantastic start to this Fury Vipers MC Series.

Kinsley is living in hell and can’t see a way out of it…

Stag is drawn to Kinsley from the moment he lays eyes on her. She is forbidden being the club’s princess, but he just can’t stay away…

I went through a whirlwind of emotions reading this story. It was dark, twisted, and really pulled at the heartstrings. These characters don’t have an easy ride, and their story was definitely not for the faint hearted.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book. I’m so excited to read more about all these new characters.

Great first book in this new MC Series.
I am a fan of this authors books so was pleasantly surprised with the cross over from her other series.
Kinsley is such a brave, loyal and courageous heroine and Stag loves her regardless of the scars she bears. This has set up for the next book in the series which I will be reading.
