Juliette Davenport has always been the invisible girl.
Obsessed with everything Japan and photography, she also harbors a secret crush on Shane O’Neal, Project Viper’s rhythm guitarist. He’s gorgeous. He’s funny. He’s friendly. Who could resist?
But always hiding behind the camera lens, Juliette can never be in the picture herself—Shane’s got a girlfriend. What’s worse, she’s one of Juliette’s best friends.
Desperate to keep her heart under lock and key, Juliette hides behind a relationship with Jace Blackmore, Shane’s stage rival and sworn enemy. Jace’s presence is supposed to keep Shane away, but fate’s determined to throw Juliette and Shane together.
Everywhere. All the time. It has no mercy.
Because a dream-come-true trip to Tokyo to take promo pictures for Shane’s guitar-building start-up is the last thing Juliette needs.
Visiting Japan, though?
Juliette struggles to say no, even when she suspects it may be the biggest mistake she’ll ever make.

If you love celebrity or musician romances, secret crushes, making bets on which of the stage rivals will win, self-inflicted love triangles, and bashful protagonists overcoming their obstacles by making tough choices, you will love this story.
unSUSTAINable is a sweet rockstar romance. Heat level is PG-13 (kissing, mild sensuality).
i love rockstar romances sm! this was more of a friends to lovers, and the plot kinda felt off in the beginning but as i continued to read it i started to enjoy it more! i did feel like the end dragged on a bit tho !
This is the third book in this series and I'm really in the middle of this group of friends now. I'm liking it. This one has less of the rockstar scene as it happens during downtime for the band but I didn't mind it. These two main characters are young and it shows but they have some growth and they are both easy to like. I'll be coming back for the next one. 3.5, rounding up
3.5 stars. I wanted to love this! There is so much to love- the amazing writing, the perfect main characters that are just my jam, the wholesome atmosphere, the hot rock stars, the moments of connection between the MCs, the lovable bandmate side characters, and best of all, the incredible angsty confrontation between Shane and Jace. I LOVED THAT SCENE!
But the last 25% of the book had multiple character/plot lines that simply made no sense. I was being asked to suspend my belief too much, and I just couldn’t.
3 things I couldn’t get behind:
1. How Juliette handled the issue of Shane kissing her. Who ghosts all their friends for an entire week, and has the self restraint to not look at any of their many texts while still using their phone on the daily? and then who makes the rash decision to go across the world and turn OFF their phone for over a month, still without reading any of the mounting texts from their friends and “cheating” crush? The reasoning isn’t there, and it just flies in the face of human nature. We are weak creatures. Maybe we can run from a situation and ignore it for a day or two, but for 45 days? There is no way she would not crumble and read her texts to satisfy her curiously in all that time! This is taking “running from your problems” to whole new unbelievable level.
2. Shane’s long-term reaction when Juliette ghosted him was off. Initially he was epically confused, fiercely missed her, and felt absolutely destroyed for somehow offending her. But here’s the thing: his feelings never changed. The more he processed the situation, the more his emotions should have evolved. He naturally should have come to the conclusion that he simply did nothing wrong (or that it wasn’t THAT wrong) and she was acting like a total jerk for ghosting him for 45 days without telling him what her problem was. She wasn’t even giving him the common courtesy of sending one measly text in response to his 190. His confusion and regret should have morphed into anger and hurt. He didn’t deserve such crappy treatment. Her inexplicable and hurtful behavior had tons of red flags and the fact that he kept texting her and feeling contrite for 45 days is messed up.
3. The reasoning her parents had for their 7-year separation (what about victim protection? Surely there were other options for heaven’s sake), the first thing Juliette says to her mom, the fact that her mom didn’t come immediately home when the danger was gone and instead decided to come visit her husband on a whim with Juliette. WTH?
It all seemed farfetched and unrealistic.
And then after the prolonged miscommunication and 45-day separation ends, they immediately forgive each other and exchange I love you’s. And within a few days they decide they want to marry.
So much whiplash.
Do they even really know each other? Maybe they do know each other as a person but as a romantic partner? How do they know this is the real deal already? I really, really wish I could get on board! I really wanted to love this. 😭
Also, it does seem kinda selfish and strange that Juliette wants to keep her male BFF, who she knows is also suffering from unrequited love for her, even after getting married to someone else. Jace and Juliette’s relationship kinda weirded me out in Jace’s story too, even though I LOVED THAT BOOK. (Titled: Be My Rebound. 5 stars.)
Going back to my favorite part- those two confrontations between Jace and Shane at Shane’s house? Oh, the angsty PERFECTION! I loved the first 75% of the book.
Content- Language- no swearing Substance abuse- none Spice- clean Cover- love it Cliffhanger- no. Standalone, but I recommend reading in order Format- KU

Project Viper has just finished their tour and are excited to be back in the comfort of their home. This installment delves deep into the intricacy of a complicated relationship.
Shane is the guitarist of the band. Elise is his long term girlfriend, but their romance appears to be waning.
Juliette works with her dad as the band's photographer. She is also best friend to Elise.
Juliette has a crush on Shane. As Elise is her friend, she keeps it to herself. Besides, Shane is hardly aware of her.

This all changes on her eighteenth birthday when Shane pays a visit to Elise for another memorable occasion. The problem is that Elise has forgotten. Shane fleetingly notices Juliette that day. When her car and phone die on her, Shane gives her a lift. He is surprised by what he learns about her. He asks her to be his photographer on a side business venture. She is hesitant at first, but it's Japan. Somewhere that she has wanted to revisit. So she accepts. Neither of them expected to enjoy each other's company so much. They do, while all the time she suppresses her feelings. As the story develops, there are a lot of misunderstandings. Some of which Juliette brings upon herself. Is it the end of the budding romance developing between them?
The storyline is well developed, there are enough going back and forth to make you feel giddy. The interactions between Jace and Shane can be intimidating as well as comical. I like how the differences are resolved without personal conficts. It takes Shane and Juliette a while to get to where they want to be and when they do, it's brilliant. A worthwhile read.

Juliette has a pretty low-profile life. Working as her father’s assistant on photo shoots she never gets notice, and she can look all she wants at her secret crush: Shane, Project Viper’s rhythm guitarist. He’s so friendly and literally acts like a knight in shining armor helping everyone around him. But even if it was not for the fact that she is practically invisible, Shane would still be off limits for Juliette cause he’s going out with one of her closest friends. Life seems to have other plans though and fate is determined for the two of them to keep being involved.
The moment Shane noticed Juliette I was so happy! He was always so nice to her, and it was really fun to see the progression of their relationship. Japan is at the top of my “want to travel to” list and it was great to get to travel there a little through the book. Especially since Juliette is absolutely in love with Japan so seeing it through her eyes was nice. I enjoyed the exchanges between Jace and Shane. Sworn enemies haha but they still show lots of respect to each other which was amazing.
I must admit that I got a little mad at Juliette at some point. I’m always saying that living life in denial mode is my favourite thing to do, but I wanted to shake her a little and tell her to deal with her problems already haha (as we always say: do as I say, not as I do!) I mean poor Shane, he really didn’t deserve all that and he was always so kind and careful. That being said tho she literally said and I quote: “I was, in fact, extremely stupid.” so I forgave her cause we all are stupid sometimes, (but she better not do it again!)
This was a lovely book just like the rest of the series, can’t wait to get to the next one!
P.s. I’m already in love with Jace. Please Arya, tell me he’s gonna be book #1. Thank you very much!
P.p.s. I’d go with you anywhere from Birds of Tokyo is definitely missing in the playlist T.T I mean…. It’s Birds of TOKYO (ok they are Australians but still :D it’s perfect!)
This book is a clean and wholesome rockstar romance. The author focuses on the characters and rockstar lifestyle, developing them and the situations they find themselves in instead of steamy scenes. In this book, the struggles are more internal and more minor in the situations; however, that does come into play, and there is always some miscommunication. This book is filled with doubt, emotions, love, and some great life advice. I love this unique take on a rockstar romance presented as a truly sweet story with just the right amount of drama.
Omg, I love the chapter name; making them tracks is so fun for this rockstar romance.
Shane is coming off tour, and wow, is he happy to be back at the Viper Nest. He and the band are excited to be home and back to their usual shenanigans.
Juliette is just turning 18. She is a friend of Elise’s and therefore knows Project Viper. Juliette is an introvert who has trouble making friends. She and her dad have a sweet relationship; he is a supporting photographer for Project Viper and other bands. She is excited to know Elise, Charlie, and Fiona from working with Project Viper.
Elise and Shane’s relationship seems to be on the rocks, but nothing is precisely clear yet. They have been together for a really long time. Juliette, however, I’m not sure how she plays into this story. So weird I was not expecting that, but chapter 24 will surprise you. Both Shane and Juliette run away from their problems and mope. I love how this story ends. The playlist at the end of the book is just perfect.
Secret crushes and lots of banter - loved it! This was the perfect follow up to unBREAKable, which was fast paced in its setting travelling all over Europe. Arya Matthews keeps coming up with the best curve balls to throw these characters, and I love it! I didn't think anything could top a concert tour, but this book had us visiting new and unexpected places, and the descriptions took me right there with the characters. The characters... Shane - kind and gentle and heartfelt in everything he does. I just want him to wrap me up in a big warm hug. Juliette - sweet but sassy, and with killer kung fu moves, I definitely wanted to be more like her. Jace... Oh, Jace. I cannot wait to read more about you. No spoilers. Just do yourself a favour and read it :).
This book continues the high caliber of the series. Shane is happy… right? But something isn’t right and he’s not sure what it is or how to fix it. Juliette is trying so hard to keep her feelings from growing and betraying her friends. Somehow it all blows up in their faces and hearts are broken and running away seems like the answer. This author has such a true grip on emotion and angst that you get lost in the words and can’t put it down until the characters you’ve fallen in love with find their HEA.

This book is a clean, rockstar romance. The author focuses on the characters and rockstar lifestyle, developing them and the situations they find themselves in difficult problems. It kept me entertained and very much enjoyed reading this book. I did like this author gave chapter names and it was interesting when reading each chapter. The ending had some teary moments.

This sweet rockstar series is a great one to read! I love the found family vibes of this series, and each book has been hard for me to put down.
The romance is a bit of a forbidden love one, and I thought it was very well written. I was a little worried when I first started reading, but I didn’t need to be because everything was handled respectfully and balanced just right. I loved the characters and how nuanced they were!
I haven’t read many books with martial arts in them, so it was interesting to read about Kung Fu. I also enjoyed seeing how much Juliette loved Japan, and the parts of the book that took place there were beautifully described! I felt like I was visiting Juliette’s favorite places with her.
I enjoyed reading this book, and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I enjoyed the first two books in this series and was excited to read this book. This book did not disappoint, it was fun to read the story between Shane and Juliette.
While I'm not the biggest fan of chapters having titles, I loved the first person point of view which is a deal breaker for me. This was a good read and I will be reading more from this author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved the ending. Couldn't put it down. I found this book a little more confusing than the other books in the series yet still very much enjoyed it. Great characters, well-written. I'm sharing this review completely unsolicited even though I adore Arya and we chat frequently. I love this series because they’re great stories!
Seriously one of my favorite authors! I loved the continuation of individual stories. Shane is a great guy and it's perfect to match him with Juliette. I was al little worried at first because she's so young. But I also love to read that sometimes we find our forever person at a young age. A lot of feeling and surprise in this books as well.
Juliette is so relatable, and I adored Jace. Shane was interesting to get to know and he seemed to get to know himself at the same time that I did. (In my head that makes perfect sense.) Another Viper novel that will keep you with a vested interest in the lives of the swoony band members. I’m still so with the band.
I loved this story. This story took twists and turns I didn't expect. Their journey to love wasn't necessarily easy, but I thought it was a super sweet love story.
With two books in the bag (I have yet to get around to reading book 1- shame on me), Arya Matthews is slowly snaking their way into my reading heart.
It's no secret that I love slowburn in my love stories (one does not become a fan of Anyta Sunday's work otherwise, after all), and while this one teeters on the line between slowburn and plain torture, I have to say I really enjoyed the progress of Shane and Juliette growing close around each other (even though I do have to admit that the final couple chapters went a little too fast for me, the conclusion felt a bit off pace when compared to the rest).
I also enjoyed the extra layers that their relationship (from its very beginnings) added to characters that had shown very little dimension up to that moment.
Once I've established how much I enjoyed the dynamics of Shane and Juliette (and each other as characters individually, which I did very much), I have to give a special mention to Jace. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't mind him having his own book. In fact, you can say I encourage it.
This book, to sum up, was a very pleasant surprise. I knew I'd enjoy it (if CJ's book was anything to go by), but I found myself having an even bigger blast than I'd anticipated. On to more Viper adventures, then!
Juliette Davenport is the photography assistant to her dad, who works for Project Viper’s record label. She just turned eighteen and is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life; attend college locally or on the east coast? She’s friends with Elise, whose boyfriend is Shane O’Neal, Project Viper’s rhythm guitarist, and younger brother of Graham. Juliette has had a crush on Shane for months. Her best friend, Jace, is the guitarist for ACD. This book has a quadrangle of characters but it makes sense as you read. It does have a HEA. I found this book the most emotional of the series so far. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Shane has an unsustainable relationship and doesn't realize it. These characters have so many misunderstandings but a great ending. I enjoyed this installment of the series.
The book is a good, and enjoyable sweet clean wholesome rock star romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
