I’ve wanted to meet my wolf my entire life. But when I finally do, something else tags along. Something dangerous, hiding in the shadows, hungering for blood. It was sheer luck that I didn’t murder thousands. I don’t know how to control it, and if I can’t defeat it, I can never go home again.
To make matters worse, my vampire protector, Aaron, is missing and there’s a powerful mage trying to capture Fenrir, the only person capable of teaching me how to control my hunger. If he’s caught, I don’t know what I’ll do.
It doesn’t take long before a price is also put on my head, shifting the mage’s focus on to me. No matter what, the price will be paid. In blood. The only question is whose. But if she thinks I’ll make it easy on her, she’s got another thing coming. She’s threatened my family and the one person I might have a future with. I’ll stop her. I have to. No matter what.
Riley is one of those early-morning people you love to hate, because she swears she doesn't need caffeine, even though the coffee-maker is connected to her smartphone. She lives in a three-story townhouse by the good graces of a tabby-cat who rules the house, the couch, the table, well, basically everywhere. When she's not groveling for forgiveness for neglecting to pet her kitty enough, Riley is strapped in to her writing chair coming up with crazy worlds where she can make her own decisions of when feeding time is and how much coffee can be drank without her friends--of which she has three--holding yet another intervention that they threaten to post on the internet.
This very well-written book 2 in The Blood and Fangs Book Series has strong characters and a great storyline. These well designed and interesting characters are exciting, have chemistry, and unique personalities. This story has danger, action, drama, intrigue, chemistry, and love with a bit of humour. A must read from this Author and is a continuation to a good series.
This is book two of the Blood & Fangs series and the main characters Jo (Joanna) Alustria, Aaron her vampire protector and Fenrir a vampire wolf hybrid like herself, are at a crossroads and must decide where she should go next. If she goes to Earth where her parents and friends are, she is risking the darkness overcoming her like it did with Fenrir for thousands of years, ending with a couple of gods having to drag him into a prison meant for eternity. Her other choice is to learn more about herself from Fenrir and Aaron, with the hope she can figure out how to control this desire and hunger for blood. Unfortunately, as they wait by the portal, a bounty hunter comes for Fenrir and realises what she is as well and manages to get away with Aaron as her prisoner. Fenrir and Jo, as well as her mother, are the only wolf shifter and vampire hybrids around. The current vampire queen has been killing off any and all female vampires to ensure her reign can continue unopposed for centuries more and would kill both her and her mother, if she finds out about them. Her mother has been in a spaced out condition since she was pregnant with Jo, as she takes pills that kept the hunger at bay after Fenrir turned her to save her life all those years ago. This bounty hunter has a blood letter, a bounty written and sealed with blood, by the vampire queen herself, for both Jo and Fenrir, and has been given extra magical powers and strength by a god, Erebus, to ensure she could capture just Fenrir initially. Now she is after them both. Jo should have shifted by now, but the pills her mother took affected and delayed her first shift. She had been looking forward to her Soulshift, under the Wild Moon, where she could shift and run with other wolves and hopefully find her Soulbound mate. Now she can never safely be around humans and especially her friends again without danger of losing control and killing hundreds if not thousands. She has to follow Fenrir to the depths of Hell, where he has a secret haven where he can train her and they can make plans to rescue Aaron and defeat the bounty hunter mage, who seems to be able to find them wherever they go. She has to find a focus for her mind, to enable her to control her hunger, something that will tie her to doing good and not succumb to the evil she can feel inside her, as this hunger tries to get out. Fenrir sets up numerous tests for her until she finally figures out what or who to focus on, to help her start to learn some control. Their time in the safe haven is cut short by an approaching army of vampires and the queen’s right hand man, Corvis, who it seems has been given extra powers to control Fenrir and render him unable to move. They have to escape and only manage by a slim margin as help arrives from her friends. They have to figure out how these people are managing to find them so easily, no matter where they go and get her loved ones to safety in another realm. Jo is having to make decisions to try and get Aaron back, the one person she might be fated to be with and have a future with, but obstacles in their way leave her defeated and regretting her actions, as they lead to loss of others. The bounty hunter is fond of leaving traps for them, so when she agrees to a meet, they have to try and plan five steps ahead of her and figure out a way to get past her traps and trap her instead. A blood letter is involved, which is a very costly instruction and Jo finally finds out what the hunger can do to her, making her more powerful in one way, but also unable to control her wolf in the other and at risk of becoming a mindless beast of destruction. Only the love Aaron has for her will be strong enough to pull her back from the other side! A rollercoaster of action and turmoil for Jo and her companions, as they are left jumping from one danger to the next, seemingly with no end in sight. Loved ones have been taken and scores killed. Whether staying alive will be worth it for Jo, or if she should succumb to the vampire queen to save her friends and family, and stop herself from becoming like Fenrir did for eons, is a hard call. But Jo is growing in confidence and is fed up of others attacking her at every turn and wanting her dead. The time to fight back against the main problem is upon her and she is now determined to succeed! I look forward to seeing how they manage in the next instalment. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Just as horrible s the first. Though I didn’t skip 10 chapters in this one, I did skip a lot of the repetitive monologue. There were so many recaps that it wasn’t funny. Even when recapping the previous series Soulbound, it didn’t even recap what actually happened accurately!
Jo makes a lot of dumb decisions and, just like Dani in the previous series, she denies her feelings for Aaron for the majority of the book while simultaneously acknowledging them when it’s convenient for her… the author conveniently omits that Dani was also feeling drawn to Aaron for the majority of her books, even after she meet Vir, but then finally towards the end let’s her lust for Aaron go.
Seeing as how I read the box set of all three books and can’t find that on Goodreads, I have to find each individual book to leave my review. This middle book is kind of fuzzy, but I do remember it being frustratingly annoying when Jo, who knows nothing outside of Seguin…just like Dani, tries to cut off people more knowledgeable than her and lets her mouth run further than her ass can carry. The author fails to realize she made both Jo and Dani seem like spoiled ungrateful females with the way they spoke to people and attempted to “order them around”. Not only is she the youngest person/being in any group she has encountered, she also the least knowledgeable in the grand scheme of things and the least experienced….
This book was also filled with a lot of unnecessary and ridiculous dialogue that didn’t make a lick of sense at times so you could tell it was filler. Dialogue was placed at the most in opportune places, like after they walked for hours through the sewer to the door portal, Jaxton asks her is she sure you wants to do this…. They were in Seguin when the plan was made… the door portal is in Keller… it’s a two hour drive from Seguin to Keller and the sewer walk is at least an hour, if I remember correctly from Dani’s books…. So after all that driving and walking time he asks that when they are at the entrance to their destination? Yep… made a lot of sense…🙄🙄
Things like that happened a lot. When Jo got snatched through a portal, she had the most ridiculous thoughts about her captor. That entire thing was ridiculous because Aaron was supposed to be much closer to the portal than she was since she had just stepped towards Fenrir who was already said to be standing back away from the portal. There’s a lot of that too, people doing things their bodies couldn’t possibly do from the positions they were written to be in just moments before. It was like the author didn’t even visualize the scene as she wrote in and had people doing weird crap.
I do not recommend this book at all. It will give you a headache. I can’t even fathom to understand the 4.51 review these books have gotten. And reading the reviews makes me wonder a lot about the intelligence level of my fellow humans…

Jo is thrilled to realize her wolf is ready to make an appearance. Unfortunately, her wolf isn't the only thing that wants out, and that part of her is dark, dangerous, and wants blood. The only being that can help her is being hunted by a mage, so she must protect him in order to learn to control the dark hunger that wants out. Then she discovers that the mage is also hunting her because someone powerful has put out a bounty for her, so she decides to stop running and become the hunter. Wow, I love Jo! She's a strong, determined fighter who can sometimes be snarky, she will save those she loves, and mourn those lost in battle. All of the characters in this book are well written, compelling, unique, and their interactions are believable. There are many paranormal creatures, battles, and magic in this fast paced read with unexpected twists in the plot that make it hared to put this book down. I hated to see the end of this book, but I'm looking forward to the next book in this fantastic series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Blood Letter, the second book in the Blood and Fangs series by Riley Storm. This spin-off series (Soulbound Shifters) follows Joanna Alustria on her not-so-soulbound journey. This story picks up right where the first book, Soul Bitten, leaves off. Jo has discovered the secret to her past and it is definitely going to impact her future. Trouble seems to creeping up around her and putting those she loves in danger. Even strong allies like Aaron and Fenrir are not safe. A great read that makes you feel Jo's dilemma. Lots of action, drama and a hint of romance. This book does not resolve, but does set up for the next book.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
Luckily this book doesn't suffer from the "second book syndrome"! I'm still hooked by this serie! The storyline still flows nicely and the world-building is more and more detailed. I like that there are a good balance between action, magic, and romance.
In this book, Jo finally discovers the truth about her mother and what she really is and it's quite difficult to accept. Then, she has to rescue Aaron, realising how important he is for her😏 We learn more about Aaron'past, even he's still very secretive and maybe that will hurt Morgan at some point... (I guess). I like as well the concept of Blood Letter which is original and especially how Morgan turns the table with it, she's a genious!
I will eagerly read the next book and really look forward the HEA!
Jo's story continues in this wonderfully fast paced adventure as she and Aaron search for Fenrir in order to get the answers she needs. After they find Fenrir they must battle vampires and bounty hunters all while Jo fights to learn to control the beast within. Their adventure is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Will Jo learn to control the hunger and keep from going insane ? Will they be able to save Fenrir from imprisonment ? The biggest question of all is will Jo be able to defeat the Queen of vampires and cancel out the blood letter ? Only time will tell . I read an Advanced copy in exchange of an Honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
A Powerful Book Two Book Two of the Blood & Fangs Series is full of adventure and Jo coming to terms with who she’s becoming. But with that realization comes those who wish her dead and have put a Blood Letter out on her. Her most important tool to help her her is her quick mind and Aaron with his group. Can she successfully beat the Bounty Hunter while keeping her sanity? The quality of writing continues in book two so the reader must be prepared to take right off with Jo. I love that and am recommending this book for your continuing pleasure delving into this series. PEACE.

This is book two of the Blood and Fangs Series. Joanna, Aaron, and Fenrir must work together to stop the Blood Letter put out on her by the Queen. I must say that the world building is one of the best I have yet to read. The characters are strong, memorable, and changing, mentally and physically. I think this is the best work of this particular author. I am extremely impressed with this book and can’t wait for the next. Fantastic read!

Joanne did discover in the first book what is special about her and now she has to keep sane about it and control it.
But with a bounty hunter witch coming after her and kidnapping Aaron she has not much time to control her hunger and try to rescue him. She gets help from an unexpected side, Fernir.
Next to the witch, the vampires are in the battle too, mix in a bit of Hades, her parents and her friend Dani and you get a book I couldn't stop reading, because I needed to know what was going to happen next.
Jo is still struggling to come to terms with who she thought she was & what she has now become. She feels out of control & out of her depth. She is still fighting her feelings for Aaron but deep down she knows she loves him, she's just not ready to admit it yet even to herself. So many changes in such a short period of time & so many challenges that seem to just keep coming. She doesn't want to be a burden on Danni & Vir nor her pack who she knows she's putting at risk. Deep down she knows she will fight. Her mum is depending on her.
Oh I do love a good cliffhanger! Go Jo go! Damn what another amazing read to this sensational series. So much action. Some of our favourite characters from soulbound shifters in this series too. Which if you haven’t read it you would love to start with that and then this series will make more sense. Riley Storm has one fantastic imagination and writing. I’ve loved the first series soulbound shifters and I’m loving this series. Gotta love our FMC Jo. She is non stop kicking arse.
Jo has learnt the truth about her mother - and what she has inherited from her. Now, she is being hunted - and Aaron and Fenrir have beencaptured. Will she be able to save them? What will happen as she learns the full extent of her power? Will she be able to defeat Bianca? Loving this series, cant wait for the next book!

Fenrir and Aaron are with her and helping Jo throught this difficutl time, but a powerful new threat has arrived and Jo needs all her wits and strenth to deal with it. A fantastic read. Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. In this part of the story Joanna Austria finds out she is half wolf/ half vampire and that ferir is the one who bite her mom and this answers alot of other questions, but now she is trying to learn to control everything and finding out who has a blood letter on her. This was so fantastic can't wait to read more . 10 stars.
Excellent and entertaining part two in Blood & Fangs. It was exciting and had action, intrigue, suspense, mystery, and romance. The characters are awesome as Joanna uncovers what she is and she learns who is after her. Not only does her pack reach out to her but also her vampire friends, Aaron’s crew. Can’t wait for the next book to come out. I received a complimentary copy of the book and chose to write my own review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms Storm.
Riley Storm's second book in the Blood and Fangs series. This is the continuing story starting with Joanna Alustria on her soon to shift journey. This story begins after Soul Bitten ends with the same characters. Jo's mom has revels a secret to her past. Trouble seems to be Jo's middle name putting those she loves in danger. Aaron and the shifter god Fenrir are not even safe around her. A fast paced action read, faced with life changing dilemma. I can't wait for the next book to be released.
The second in the series and it blew my mind. It is so filled with twists but there are also answers that explain so much about Jo. She is one amazing woman and what she is to become will scare her. But she will have the help of new and old friends, of family and one male who will never leave her side. There is lots of action and fighting. The story will pull you in and have you hoping for the best for Jo. The next book can’t come soon enough.
I love a story with a strong heroine, and this one has that and more. Getting to see Jo becoming what she is meant to be and accepting it makes for a great story. I feel that this is a well thought out world and I love the way everything is brought together. This is a great part of Jo's Journey and I am happy to have been able to enjoy it. I feel that this is a Great Read and I Loved it!!!

Jo's wolf is close to emerging, but because of things happening now she doesn't want it to happen. She doesn't want to be like Fenrir, a werewolf shifter who turns into a monster. Then she gets attacked while with Aaron and Fenrir and gets dragged through a portal. Will Aaron be able to save her? What will happen to them all? Great addition to this new series.
Another great story in Blood and Fangs series. Jo and Aaron are tested as they continue to fight to stay away from the vampires. A really exciting book, full of action. It really kept me eagerly turning the pages!

This book is part of a series and you need to read them in order so you understand as one picks up where the other stopped. This one is how Jo handles being a werewolf and vampire. I love the action and relationship building.

This series seems to get better and better! More action more emotional demands from the heroine. All the characters are so good that you can feel their feelings for each other. Romance is flowing through the heroine and her vampire. Can't wait to see the next book and all the action.
This is another well written story by this author and I really enjoyed how full of everything it was. Battles, supernatural peeps, magic, and fab interactions that were relatable and believable. It's a fast paced read and full of twists. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Good fun!

This is the second book in what is shaping up to be a great series, it continues Aaron and Jo's story with her making a terrible discovery about herself which will change the way she thinks about everything. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next instalment.
