“I'm incredibly lucky to have an environment where I feel comfortable being myself” – Harry Styles. Stepping bravely into the cyclone of 21st-century fashions, Harry Styles is more than weathering the storm. Whether he's breaking the internet with his $7.99 frog-eyed yellow bucket hat or a pair of black fishnets, or fronting cult magazine The Beauty Papers, as he did in March 2021, Hazza's sparkle knows no boundaries. Gucci met Styles in 2014, and there was instant chemistry. According to designer Alessandro Michele, Harry is ‘a young Greek God with the attitude of James Dean and a little bit of Mick Jagger' – and that effortless superstardom certainly radiates from the photos in this collection, which document the heart of Harry's wardrobe, both on-stage and off. Part fashion history lesson, pulling references from the rock and roll greats of the past, and part innovation, Harry's style pays homage to Kurt Cobain and Marc Bolan, Prince and Little Richard, while developing into something authentic and entirely his own. This chic book fizzles with facts about Harry's styling choices, presenting the star's most revered looks alongside pictures that trace the roots of each design. With quotes from key designers, this is the perfect gift for any fan.
I’m suprised this book doesn’t have more ratings or reviews because it was truly beautiful !!
I loved this book, full of pictures of the one and only Harry Styles, but also other music icons like Freddy Mercury, Prince, Elton John and David Bowie ✨
Every page was like art, and the fashion was so well described, I loved seeing all the details to each of Harry’s outfits!
The only think that would have made this a bit better was if the outfits were in chronological order so that we could see the fashion evolution!
"'i don't think your should he scared about embarrassing yourself; i think it builds character.'" (harry styles, free radio interview in 2014)
i don't have very expansive knowledge on fashion, but this was really interesting! i like how it not only went into harry's history with fashion but also dove into the history of some of pop culture's greatest icons.
it's cool to see how harry's style and expression through fashion has changed throughout the years. ⬆️ "'i'm really surprised [to be nominated as a style icon]; i've only got two pairs of jeans.'" (harry styles, british fashion awards 2013.)
Great book for any @harrystyles fans. Amazing coffee table book that anyone can flip through and get to know this man's style from his @onedirection era to his Grammy winner's outfits.
Sadly they haven't included his iconic white t-shirt outfits. 🥺 And the pictures could have been a much higher quality.
Would love to give this 5 stars bc comeeee onnn its Harry but the writing was really really terrible .I’m so so sorry but the hazza for example made even my 2015 me cringe I just don’t think this is in anyway appropriate I just expected a more „professional“ text. Sorrryyy Harry slayed big times though
Good coffee table book with lots of pictures. Checked out from the library; not worth buying but fun read to browse through if you’re a Harry fan.
“Music and fashion, you’re supposed to have fun with them. It’s playful. With the people I grew up listening to, like Elvis, David Bowie, The Stones and people like that, it’s part of the show because it’s fun, and I just like to have fun with it.”
Visually stunning and full of great tid bits. I love the comparisons with icons like Elvis and Elton etc. Some of the full page quotes were in the text on a previous page and I felt that was cheap. Overall though it is well done.
i really loved reading about harry's inspiration and how most of his outfit have a meaning or a significance. he's so beautiful and he has such great taste omg. hated how many of the pictures were blurry, but the book was very interesting. loved it. 10/13
Really adorable book with some beautiful photos and interesting fashion connections about some of Harry's most iconic outfits. I like how it ties in influences and the history of the outfits and designers. Any fan of Harry's would love to read this.
