Do you like cars, and dinosaurs, and reading about them? Do you have questions and ideas? Do you like to be read to? Or do you like to read alone in a quiet corner? Come in, welcome to our library!
Growing up, a library was my favorite place to be. It opened up the world to me and made my escape into fantasy easier when reality became too much to cope with. As an adult, I have come to mourn the death of libraries for children in my city/country as these libraries have closed down one by one and children have chosen other means to entertain themselves with. With this book, I felt that lost world re-opening again, even if just a little. The characters on each page are quirky, make you smile and fill you with imagination as you read. All in all, this feels like an invitation...an invitation to keep reading, an invitation into the wonderful world of books, an invitation to know each of these characters better (or make up their lives in your heads), and an invitation to not let libraries die because the possibilities of community and imagination that come with it are endless.
