This is the author's first paranormal, but like other books by her, is based on actual historical events.
Briana never thought that the place she was sent away from as a kid would be the place she would return to and call home. Nor did she know that one event would unlock the past, the family secret of a curse that has tormented her family for generations. Who would think that a few family antiques would come with such a high price, a price that has no boundaries. She finds herself bound to a legacy due to her family name, one she may or may not have the strength to overcome. She must fight for herself and her loved ones, with nothing to go on, but a few books and notes, passed down by her ancestors. Does she have what it takes to overcome her fears and face the truth? It all comes down to what is inside The Wardrobe.
The author had me under a spell from the beginning. She gives great details and has a storyline that is interesting and easy to follow. The story fits well with the historical events and you can tell she really did her research. I happen to own and antique wardrobe, and since reading this book, I make sure that is shut! I really enjoyed the book and loved the fact that it gave me a few late night spooks. I look forward to the sequel and other work by this amazing author.
