There are good information for any one want to understand the basic world of Real Estate but I wouldn't recommend for someone who never done any real estate transaction and just reading this book to go out and start doing real estate deal. The liability and loss that you are facing is much greater than the cost of this book. Always consult your local real estate agent, who has been in the field and work day in day out so they can help guide you to the right path.

Adequate for finding out the lingo. Also a nice fundamental crash course in the cut-throatiness of the real estate industry. He makes it clear that under no uncertain terms that buying or selling a house is all about you and to be as aggressive as possible while looking as little like a dick as possible.

The glossary at the end is worth the read, as industry-speak is given a more technical explanation.

Solid enough for a starter, and adequate for jumping into non-buying issues such as foreclosing and short sales.

I was happily surprised to pick up a few tips from reading this book. At first, I was arrogant thinking that I wouldn't learn anything because of all I have learned about real estate, but Irwin reminds me that I am still not a master at negotiation. I need to continue to practice the art of negotiation.

Nothing outside of the norm in negotiating tactics. Not a bad book but I didn't learn anything from it. It probably would be a good primer.

A helpful, basic overview of the process of negotiating real estate. Robert Irwin gets straight to the point and gives a very objective view of the process. I found it to be helpful.

The thesis of this book is that EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE except when the seller just won't budge or being rude. That's where you want to move on.
