Akagawa Kaori has returned from the other world as an immortal archlich, and settled into her new life. Starting her own business as a crafter, she found her first commission making an item for the King of England, adding a new piece to the Crown Jewels. She even helped protect him during an unfortunately timed assassination attempt. So where does one go from there?
Well, the answer is 'go back home'. Returning to her shop in Japan, Kaori sets her eyes on her next commission. But she has the eyes of the wealthy and powerful upon her, now, and completing a commission for one group may put her at odds with another. Does the former Lich Queen have what it takes to play in Tokyo's shadows? Do the shadows have what it takes to play with her?
I'm a rookie author, looking to write stories that I enjoy writing. Not gonna get awards, but honestly, I'm happy with each and every person that reads my work.
Stuart is a sci-fi and anime geek, who dabbles in tabletop and video gaming. He enjoys cosplaying and has gone to DragonCon annually since 2009. Frozen Soul is his first book.
It is a sad, sad day when you finally break down and realize that you will never have the life you wanted, never do the things you wished to do, and never see the things you wanted to see. All because of a stupid lack of lightsabers.
I was a 26 y/o college student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, as a theater major. Went to school for a while before, dropped out, tried to go back, dropped out.. Not much to say other than the fact that I'm a laid back guy, and the only drama I like is the kind that's on the stage.
If I act like an idiot, or do anything to offend you, chances are it is not intentional, and I'm being oblivious. In that case, hit me upside the head, and tell me, because I don't catch subtle hints.
Isekai Squared because she is out of place in both worlds. After 40 years in Athalia and becoming a powerful Lich, the Lich Queen of Risen Athalia returns to Earth. An Earth where magic became an active force in the world and some people have become supernatural creatures. Neither world is what she once knew; and more importantly, neither world is prepared for what she plans to do.
This is a LitRPG novella, third in a series of Isekai sub genre novellas. It may be of interest to fans of the wider Fantasy genre and to those who enjoy playing RPGs.
Akagawa's crafting is so detailed in this series. It makes it sound believable, and it's fascinating. I love the various disparities too. One customer is actual royalty and another is a Yakuza gang. I am conflicted about the immortality in this. I can't say I'd want either option. The absence of physical desire would be unwelcome for me as well.
The book itself was short and I feel like the author took up extra space repeating themselves a few times which functionally made the book shorter. That's said, I very much enjoyed the book and I like that this one focused on something so different.
Well, the OP part is in the title, so no way to complain here. Very fun read. The individual installments are quite short (can be easily read through in a single day), but also cheap - so in total worth my money.
When the Yakuza turned up at the workshop in the middle of the night, the "Ruler of Death" theme from the Overlord anime started playing in my head. So basically perfect.

Liking how the story is shaping up so far. No negatives on the story front from my pov, I enjoyed it! That said I found several writing errors, no more then a handful of types, but still things that where missed in editing. I have rounded up to a 4 rating here, but as of this date with the technical state of The OP Lich.. : Book 3 being what it is, my rating would truly at best be a 3.5/5.
I loved the first two novel but the third just become an overly short novel with nothing to keep interesting has there wasn’t any new compared to previous novels.
