Cauldron of Curses is Book 3 in the Charm Kitty Mystery series by J.L. Collins. I absolutely LOVED this book and this is a fantastic series. Winston the snarky cat steals the scenes!
Chaos breaks out when there is a curse and Maggie , Nicolai , and Winston is right at the center of it.
This is a well written mystery with fantastic, well developed characters.
The mystery kept me going until the end. Secrets are revealed and there is a little romance that I absolutely LOVED.
In my opinion this is a great continuation of the series. J.L. Collins did a great job with the mystery part and keeping you guessing. I figured out who did it but didn't know the name of the person who was causing trouble. I really like Winston vulnerable side but it was too short lived. I really enjoyed the interaction between Maggie, Nicholai and Winston. Winston always makes me laugh. My biggest complaint is sometimes Winston is too obnoxious, it gets a little annoying. I found Cauldron of Curses fun and entertaining. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
I really enjoyed this mystery. The curse was so tricky and devious and downright cruel to those it touched. What I don’t quite understand is how easy it all seemed at the end. Why did it take Maggie so long to just dig deep and figure things out? Was it because she became desperate with how bad Nicolai got? I just don’t get how it ended the way it did.
This is a well written and developed characters. This is a very well told story and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
I enjoy how simple these books are. I know that it will get wrapped up very quickly in the last 15% and no confusing solutions. Just a nice, simple, fast read. Frickin' love Winston as well.
