Renni and Pia's Story . . .
Pia Jensen is a Federal Paranormal Unit agent working as part of the Montreal police department. Renni Diaz is a superstar athlete with the North American soccer club and is hiding something from his past that could blow up and end his relationship with Pia.
With plans to unveil the solid gold Global Trophy, the highest trophy in the world of soccer, at the gala event, Renni’s past reveals itself when he sees Lucas Gauna dressed as wait staff moving through the gallery. He knew him from childhood and knew he was involved with the crime syndicate which had his father killed. He knows the man is probably armed and they need to move people out of the gallery quietly for safety. He watched Lucas go over to Sophy with a tray of drinks and they talked and smiled. When Lucas left the room, Renni followed and Lucas pulled a gun on him, taking him outside. As Lucas was about to shoot him, a black panther leaped forward to protect him. Three hyenas entered the alley to join the fight. When Captain Bergeron ran out with his gun and wounded the hyenas, Lucas escaped along with the wounded hyenas. The newspapers theorized that Renni was trying to steal the trophy. They would need to do a great deal of sorting this out. Can they prove Renni was not involved? Can they catch the shifters when they have no idea who they are? Now that Renni knows Pia’s secret, and Pia knows about Renni’s past with the crime syndicate, can they hope to save their relationship? So many unanswered questions still await answers.
This is a fast-paced, thrilling story line that will draw the reader in immediately. The characters are strong and competent at what they do. Will they be able to stop this crime spree? And how is Sophy involved?

What a fantastic read! I love the FPU! This was a great addition to it! Such great characters and awesome storyline! Renni and Pia were so great together! This is a sweet story with some drama and secrets that really pulls you in. Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Jodi Kendrick; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
She has written a good book. The story is about Pia & Renni; she’s a police officer that catches criminals as they try to escape by crossing the border into Canada, he’s a soccer superstar.

Love this book! Must read for anyone who loves romance with some drama thrown in! Pia is an amazing badass fed and Renni is a soft hearted sports star with a hidden past. Their love story has its ups and downs but it's all worth it in the end!

I enjoyed this book. This is my first book from this author and I am looking forward to read more. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and have great chemistry. Looking forward to read more from this author. A enjoyable paranormal story.

What a great read! I loved this story from beginning to end. It was very addictive and the chemistry between the character was off the charts. Renni and Pia are fantastic together. Fantastical paranormal read with a wonderful characters and great storyline.

This story has a little bit of everything. Sports, mystery, shape shifters, law enforcement, family issues, lust and love. Mix it all together shake well and you have a tale that will keep you enthralled and dying to know what is going to happen next. An enjoyable escape.
