A Different Gospel is written to accurately recount Pentecostalism’s historical roots, to objectively describe its nature, and by biblical evaluation, to prove that the gospel of the Pentecostal movement in Cameroon is completely different from the Gospel recorded and proclaimed in the Bible.
Although aimed specifically at Cameroon, Sinclair does a good job examining and exposing Pentecostal doctrine as a whole. It provides a helpful overview for anyone wanting to know the origins of Pentecostalism in a concise, survey form. Most importantly, Sinclair compares its teaching with Scripture and draws his conclusions from God’s Word.
Really good and concise summary of the issues. I would have appreciated a bit more in the exegetical department, but I don’t think that is what the author was trying to do. A great introduction to the issues.
