I spent so much of the book begging for the twist to not be what I thought it was. And then it was. Such a letdown for me personally. I felt like it was lazy, predictable, ridiculous, and doesn't even really make sense within the plot of any of the books. We end with SO MANY QUESTIONS. And the book is like "All those questions we have unanswered? We will never know! 🙂↔️" Like it seriously just answered like 2 or 3 questions, and then the writter must not have known how to really tie anything else up. Or got sick of trying? There was SO much potential and so many things that could have been explored. Also, if you think about it, I really think the timeline falls apart. I also noticed a lot on the second book. The first book doesn't even have its lore or settings straight either.
I'd read the first book and the second book. But I would recommend just reading a synopsis of this one if you didn't absolutely love those ones.
A satisfying end to a roller coaster ride of a story. The trilogy started with a whimper (imho) but finished with a very big bang. We found out just who and what Martin, the angry and highly manipulative ghost, really was. This information was truly mind blowing. The explosive ending to the story was totally unpredictable but, under the circumstances, quite apt.
This is the third and final book in the Bait series and I thought it was a great conclusion to this series. I didn't like Andrew and Hannah as much as Connie from the second book but I definitely enjoyed them a lot more than the boys from book one and I liked that they were slightly more knowledgeable going in. I liked how everything came together and while the final reveal was initially a little eye-roll worthy I still liked it. I especially liked how everything came together for the very end of the book and how the final line was a real gut punch and I loved it. This book was also compulsively readable and I found it very easy to get through and I will definitely be picking up more by this author.
Amy I swear that That I am missing so much by not getting all your stories.I grow up in a haunted house from 18months through 18years I was never really worried that I or my family would be hurt by the ghosts who stayed with us. You however scare me to death sometimes. Tell you what you keep writing and I'll keep reading sincerely christinedunne Harlingen texas
Read all three of the bait book series and they are worth a read. I enjoyed them, did find parts extremely far fetched and almost laughable but it is what it is. A few typos and mistakes throughout the three books but nothing that makes you want to stop reading. Not the best I’ve read from this author but worth reading!
Welcome. Back Amy, I almost have up on Amy of Jer books..This 3.book group.started.out good. It lagged a bit in the second book.and with her usual style ended if up with a bang. Pay attention to everything in the noold.and.let the story unfold. Maybe you will figure it out and others it was the last few.pages.that will make you..I thought so.
I really enjoyed reading this series. I normally don't leave a review unless I really like the story. This series and it cast of characters makes you wonder who is going to live and who isn't.
Amazing end to the book trilogy , so much detail to an incredible story written by the amazing author Amy cross, you pulled I to the story and want to see how it ends.. I've red many Amy Cross books and She is an incredible author I r of my favourites
Amy Cross out did herself on this series. By the time I reached the end of this last book, I was terrified. I believe in God, so ofcourse there is the Devil. And Armageddon is inevitable.
I think this was the best of the trilogy. It answered many questions and I thought the orphanage story was intriguing. Of course, it was a horror so suspending disbelief was vital.
Fast-paced with suitable characters, it was an engaging read.
Absolutely brilliant, I could not put this book down. As I’d read the bait books prior to this I thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. Would highly recommend this as a good read for all. Fantastic is all I can say .
