About the author

Kris Brandt Riske, M.A. (Arizona) is executive director and a professional member of the American Federation of Astrologers, the oldest U.S. astrological organization, founded in 1938. She is also a member of NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research) and served on its board of directors.

Riske has been a speaker at various astrological conferences and has written for several astrological publications. She currently writes for Llewellyn’s Sun Sign Book, Llewellyn’s Moon Sign Book, and American Media. Riske is also the author of Llewellyn's Complete Book of Astrology, Mapping Your Future, Mapping Your Money, and co-author of Mapping Your Travels & Relocation.

She is particularly interested in astrometeorology (astrological weather forecasting) and is the author of Astrometeorology: Planetary Power in Weather Forecasting and the annual weather forecast published in Llewellyn’s Moon Sign Book.

For all you Astrology addicts out there, this book can't be missing on your book shelf! I've been studying birth charts for two years now and I wanted to step up my game in becoming an astrologer. This book is a great next step for people in that situation! It covers the most common techniques for predictive astrology and is full of easy to understand information. It shows you example charts and is a really helpful tool in your study! It's not for those who just start out their astrology journey though, I'd recommend you to first get the needed basics on birth charts before you dive into this pearl of a book.

It has been almost five or so years since I read Llewellyn's Complete Book of Astrology: The Easy Way to Learn Astrology by this same author.

It is now as it was with that first book. The text is very readable and once I started it, I just kept going. There's a lot of information, but it's not dense. I just love the author's style.

I always recommend the first book when someone asks me about astrology. This one right here is a keeper too.

I'm giving this 4.5 stars.

This simplifies predictive astrology for the advanced layman (Yes, of course, there's such a thing). Need to sit down with a few of my own charts to get the most out of this book.
