Lovely romance
Carly has always worked with the Caron family but now working with eldest daughter, Tess, there is instant tension. Working together on a campaign about Tess’ work finds them disagreeing on many things until they properly start spending time together and Carly begins to realise there is more to Tess.
A lovely story that was packed with drama and slow burn romance with an air of angst. That immediate conflict for Carly of professional crossing paths with personal, creates an atmosphere between her and Tess the moment she starts developing any sort of attraction to her, which despite their clashing is pretty instant.
Simple in its build up, you just know that once Carly started to realise Tess was so different to the rest of her family and that she was so smart, they were just going to be perfect for one another. The sacrifices they both end up making to compensate for their feelings and connection are definitely worth it and they were just a lovely couple. The story is just packed with lovely moments, even if a little intensity due to Carly’s conflicting morals about her professionalism and matters of her heart remain, they all make those moments just that bit more special.
I really enjoyed the story. It ticked all the boxes for a sweet romance, and the fact Tess is a scientist doing fascinating work just added to the excitement and enjoyment of the story.
