It’s the end of the world as we know it. And Dean Robinson feels fine.Dean Robinson, Seventh Deacon of the Seventh Line, made a deal with the Devil. Literally. In his defense, it was the only way to avoid apocalyptic fallout. And it backfired. Spectacularly. Now, Lucifer has freed the Fallen Watchers from their eternal bonds in the depths of Tartarus and sent legions of man-eating Nephilim giants on a global binge fest. Not exactly Dean’s best day.The Heavens are ablaze as Lucifer and his cronies slug it out with the archangels.Dean and the team must scramble to prevent the ensuing Book of Revelations quality maelstrom from smacking headlong into the Earth.Piece of cake…Gilmore’s third book in the Heaven’s Dark Soldiers series delivers the knockout punch fans have come to expect. RAGE OF THE HEAVENS is a fantastical thrill ride filled with twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat and reaching for another beer.
I enjoyed the book but could not get past all the vulgarity in it. With so much poor language and innuendos it lost its point. I can not recommend this book.
Steve Gilmore ended book 2 with some serious revelations about Doc Kelly and the impending fate of the world. We were also briefly introduced to a new character, whom I grew to love -Bob/Bobby- angelic, endearing, and seamlessly funny as all get-out! This book picks up right where book 2 left off. We meet a few more characters; Each proven to be witty, humorous, and essential pieces of the puzzle that will hopefully save humankind. There is ONE almost impossible task set for Dean and his team of otherworldly saviors in this book. You’ll just have to read it to find out.

So, Doc is the first Witness…and she went off in search of the second Witness. Meanwhile, Dean and crew are trying to find God, find a way into Nod to find Cain to get a dagger from him. The journey through Nod is fraught with danger… as Dean and the Angel Bobby soon find out. There were so many parts that had me laughing out loud…the things that come out of the mouth of Dean are epic! The battles scenes are done brilliantly! They’re awesome! I can’t wait for what comes next!
Another pretty solid hit. There were some typos and repeated phrases that were a little distracting. Other than that it was really good. Plenty of action and humor. The final battle in the desert was awesome. A surprise bad guy at toward the end could've used a little more introduction but it wasn't anything major. I'm starting the next book as soon as I finish this review. Cannot wait!
Rage of the Heavens By Steve Gilmore This is the 3rd book in the series and the most twisted and exciting one so far! Everything comes to a head, plans and traitors are revealed. Adrenaline oozes off the pages! Terrific! Witty! Action packed, great fantasy, love the characters, and plot! Enjoyed it from start to finish! The books just get better!
