Or will she tear the two of them apart by falling back on her assumptions?Follow along their journey as they navigate through life, relationships, and the most important thing of all.Love.Authors Alex and Andre’s book does end in a happily ever after, but the path taken to get there is not one we romance readers are used to. Their story is about a woman learning to love herself despite all of the reasons society tells her not to, and the man who’s patient enough to love her through that journey. Both main characters make decisions that alter the course of their relationship, but together, they’re able to find redemption in one another and discover true happiness. This is not a traditional love story, but it’s a real one, and if you take a chance on it, I promise you won’t be disappointed. With love,Manny V
4.5 ⭐️ Welllllll, tell a story then!!! This was a very good read! Andre & Alexandra together has a ring to it! As well, they made a pretty dang on good couple! The heat was definitely there, even though, Andre was giving creep at first by the way he pursued Alex. Insecurities are a mutha & Alexandra almost let her insecurities get the best of her and cost her her relationship, happiness, & sanity in the process!
Stu turned out to be a great friend and addition to this read, while I’m super happy that Alex put Andrea in her place! I wished the ending put more emphasis on Andre & Alexandra’s story or the end of their story rather. Other then that small tidbit, I loved this 👌🏾!
I really enjoyed this book. I loved these characters. But Alex's insecurities were exhausting. We all know the saying about making assumptions...and Alex for sure made an așs of herself a few times. I appreciated Andre's patience with her, but the pressure was a bit much. But with Alex, it was necessary. This was a fun read. That's how I like my books. Boy meets girl. Boy pursues girl. Boy and girl date, with little dose of drama and HEA. This is my second book by this author. She's all right with me. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a fun quick read.
Making Assumptions started off well but then the story started to stall. Alexandria was your typical unsuspecting, plus beauty who’s bullied at work and has no friends. Andre is for and handsome, so no way I’d her interested in her 🙄. I would have liked to see her have a stronger personality and be able to speak up for herself.
Barely on chapter 6 and I hate it. The story. The characters. The lack of chemistry. All of it. lol She’s a whiney, very low self-esteem, timid, and clueless girl and he’s a domineering, overbearing, sexual harasser/assaulter and stalker. Alex doesn’t have ANY backbone whatsoever and Andre is a jerk who doesn’t understand that “No.” is a COMPLETE sentence; not a hint of self-awareness to be located anywhere in his brain. I really do hate them. I don’t even want to finish this story. UUGGGHH!!! Yup. Andre is abusive. How you gonna get angry that a girl doesn’t “get” that you’re interested and then proceed to forcefully kiss her? Now I’m angry. This story is a NO! for me.
This author keeps coming out with bangers! I’ve read all three of her books, but this one has to be my favorite( and that’s saying a lot because they’re all in my top 5 books of 2021). Andre is my new book husband because I love the way he treated Alex even when she did her best to push him away. Their love story was incredibly relatable, and the sex scenes were straight 🔥 Five star read all around, and I hope to see more of them in future books from this author.
This book had me going until I read Alexandria was a size 26. Nothing about the physical language or movements between Dre and Alex indicated that was her size. As a plus-size woman, this felt unrealistic, not because she wasn't beautiful but because the physical contact wasn't described appropriately if Alex's was that large. This may sound like a weird thing to focus on, but when you write a roman about plus-size characters you must make the characters realistic in the physical description of the intimate moments to make the point about the nontraditional love story.
I liked it up until the ending. I felt like he was gaslighting her even after his apology. Regardless of her insecurities which were high, anyone would think he was cheating with his secretive behavior. To the point where, by the end, I was disappointed in him. He knew even with him doing what he could to repair things, she would still blame herself, with the “how did I lose a good thing” rhetoric. But did she lose it if his behavior caused the mistrust and rift? I liked their story up until the very ending.

I gotta say this was a refreshing change from my usual urban authors. Don't get me wrong, I love my characters that are deep in the trenches, but Alex and Andre were relatable and dealing with everyday issues that we all do. This was well written and I can't wait to see what's next for this Author.
I enjoyed this book very much. The storyline flowed well. I liked how Andre and Alex's relationship started. I thought it was cute. I'm about to go read the other 2 books she got.
The storyline is everything!! I love how Andre no matter what kept fighting for his girl. Even though I wanted to square up with him for his selfishness. Stu had me dying many times. I look forward to reading more from Manny V.
I loved Alex & Andre ! I wish people wrote more books like this ! Glad Andrea got put in her place ! Even glad Will left Rabia. Rabia ?! What a name lol
Dre & Alex… the connection was nice. The patience he had while pursuing Alex. The family bonds that are presented in this book is lovely. I think a book two is need. The sexual attraction the couple has is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
