Don’t fall for your coworker…especially when he’s your roommate.
Sutton Barnes thinks he’s Prince Charming, but he’s really the Prince of Hell. He’s egotistical. A user. A complete douchecanoe. And unfortunately now my coworker.
Did I mention he’s also my new roommate?
It’s all because I can’t turn down a challenge. I never have, and I won’t start now. When Sutton bets me I can’t live in the same apartment as him and resist the “temptation”…well, game on.
He’ll be the first to cave. There is no way I’m falling for his charm…not again.
TEAGAN HUNTER writes steamy romantic comedies with lots of sarcasm and a side of heart. She loves pizza, hockey, and romance novels, though not in that order. When not writing, you can find her watching entirely too many hours of Supernatural, One Tree Hill, or New Girl. She’s mildly obsessed with Halloween and prefers cooler weather. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in the PNW.
I listened to this at work, these past two days, and I'm so very thankful to whoever invented earphones because this was smutty af and, ironically, the farther thing there is from safe for work material.
Dropping the ratings down by half a star because it's barely been a month and I remember NOTHING about it, so I can't revise the RTC. I'll have to trust my past self and confirm the smut was indeed good, but re-reading is out of question. Tempt Thy Neighbor is the final installment in the Roommate Romps series by Teagan Hunter, and the author really decided to save the best for last with this romance. I'm completely obsessed with these characters, their story, and all that chemistry.
"And I swear I might never be the same again. Because once again, Sutton Barnes has ruined me."
Holland Evans decided to leave her whole life behind and start from scratch; New city, new job, new apartment, and a new roommate? Not so much since Holland and Sutton Barnes have a complicated history that come from rivals in high school to a relationship where he left her heartbroken for no apparent reason... and now she's basically sharing her life with him again.
People this romance!! I couldn't really put it down and I devoured it in one sitting. Both characters were amazing and likable, and the romance, chemistry and sexual tension were off the charts, like I ended up feeling butterflies, all giddy and silly smiles.
Holl and Sutton have known each other for years now, but it had been a while since the two of them had last seen each other; Basically since they broke each other's hearts, but now Holland is making this big change in her life and the first thing she meets in this new city is her former high school rival and last love. And now they are competing again, trying not to kill each other, but also trying not to fall into the other's temptation, since they are not only roommates, but also co-workers and that's against the company policy. But the mixed feelings, and the things that were left unsaid have a way out, and what they felt for each other, and perhaps still do, are too big not to try one last time.
Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my god, Sutton and Holland, totally own my heart. The chemistry, the romance, the humor, the banter, the MCs, the side characters, the relatives, the plot, oh my god can I go on - were all so damn fun, amazing, laugh out loud, and wonderful that I don't think I can find in any other novel.
God I would love to read the other roomate romps novels if possible, and I will definitely do do that.
I missed reading Teagan's novels, and I am so sorry I missed any of them. Seriously, the regret is felt deeply in my bones.
But I am back and better than ever to go on a teagan reading marathon when I finally get time from my uni work obviously.
But gosh you should read this, if you love novels like TTN with the qualities mentioned above.

I'm sad to see the series end, but this was a great way to go out. This light and steamy, tension-filled romance makes for a quick, bingeable read that easily stands on its own. I had no trouble devouring it one sitting, and I had fun the whole time. It's an interesting combination of enemies to lovers, accidental roommates, office rivals, and second chance - which is probably too many tropes for the length of the book, lol. I could've done without the second chance dynamic, because their history actually confused me for awhile and is one of the main things that detracted from the romance. This either needed a few flashbacks to fill in the gaps, or it needed to scrap their whole sexual history. But that's really the only thing that holds this back from being a 5-star read; the rest of the book is low angst, sexy, and just Hunter's style.
The story follows Holland and Sutton (terrible names to keep track of, lol), two people who went to high school together but haven't seen each other in years. Holland has always been competitive, so she and Sutton were academic rivals growing up. It wasn't until after graduation that they crossed any lines, but they did share one sexy summer together. After college, they reconnected, but things did not go well - and now there's a lot of resentment and unresolved feelings between them. As both Holland and Sutton make changes in their lives, they find themselves crossing paths yet again. And it's not long before they're both living and working together, which makes burying those unresolved feelings nearly impossible.
This series has been very solid, and I've looked forward to every book. This was no exception. I loved all of the sexual tension, the enemies to lovers vibe, and the obvious connection. Hunter manages to keep the story light and low angst, while also tackling a few tropes that tend to get angsty. It's probably too short and definitely relies too much on their past (which we never see), but I enjoyed the story overall. I would've vastly preferred if they had simply danced around their feelings in high school, because their history was kinda odd to me and very distracting. I kept trying to figure out if they had slept together before, and if they really went off to college with "no" feelings. Eliminating that messy backstory would've allowed their current dynamic to shine, and would've made the book a lot stronger - in my opinion. Regardless, I still enjoyed this a whole lot, and it was just what I was in the mood for. Whether you're reading this as a standalone or wrapping up the series, it's lighthearted and sexy. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this enemies to lovers romance.
This book had it all - rivals to lovers, second chance, roomates... It was fun and flirty. I feel like this one was has been the steamest one yet. Sutton and Holland brought the chemistry!
Sutton is the troubled rich boy. He makes headlines for the wrong reason. His family thinks he's just a big screw up and won't amount to anything - so he heads to stay with Aunt. The only sane and real family member of the one.
Holland has been working with her father for over 4 years. He demands and demands more of her. She is fed up with it and decides to finally spreads her wings... all the way to her brother Dean's spare bedroom (we met him in Loathe Thy Neighbor). Excited with a new job and being on her own.. She has no idea that a blast from the past will be there as well.
Their antics were so great. They needed to one up each other. Bets happen, closets are entered and alliances are made. Prepare for office war!
sutton and holland have known each other for years, so they perfectly know that they can’t stand each other. but now they are coworkers… and roommates. they have story together, story none of them wants to repeat… but they know each other too well not to tempt the other.
i can’t believe this series is done! this book was the best way to end an amazing series. sutton and holland have, basically, the best tropes ever:
- roommates - second chance - enemies to lovers - academic rivals to lovers - workplace romance
this combination nearly ended me, i swear. i loved how well connected everything between sutton and holland was, and i would die to see some flashbacks of some years before the series. i love the second chance trope and seeing it mixed with so many favorite tropes made me love this book from page one to the last.
the fact that the entire series has been focused on the same building has given me a sense of domesticity that i love in books. usually, my favorite scenes in romance are when the characters are just at home (maybe because i’m a big homebody), so this book and the entire series made my heart sooo happy. sutton and holland’s banter was amazing, and the push and pull dynamic at the beginning (well, all through the book actually) was very funny to read.
as i said at the beginning of the review, this book was a perfect closure for the series. roommate romps has been a delight, and i can’t wait to see what teagan creates next.
“You're my freedom. You're what I've been searching for.”
Tempt Thy Neighbor is the fourth and final book in the Roommate Romps series and follows Holland, Dean's sister from book one, and Sutton. They have known each other for years, have a past, and can't stand each other, but they are now coworkers... and roommates.
Like the rest of the series, Holland and Sutton's book was amazing! They served SO MANY good tropes like second chance, roommates, and workplace rivals that worked perfectly together and made for a wonderful story. Both characters were very attaching from the beginning, and I liked them and their relationship a lot, as it was well developed throughout the story. The chemistry between Holland and Sutton was palpable in all of their interactions, and their banter was also funny. The couples from the previous books made several appearances. I enjoyed seeing them all together again and getting glimpses into each of their relationships and friendships.
Overall, Tempt Thy Neighbor was as good as the rest of the Roommate Romps series. You instantly become attached to the characters, the couples, and all their domestic moments. I can't wait to see what Teagan Hunter has planned next and meet new characters!
This is the fourth book in the Roommate Romps series and it just might have become my favourite. Sutton & Holand were the epitome of enemies to lovers, academic rivals, second chance and workplace romance! While I liked all the other couples these two were something special. The burning tension brewing between them was so hot that I was unable to put the book down.
"I hate him. But more than that, I hate that even though Sutton Barnes broke my heart, I still want him."
Holland is Dean's little sister who still works as her father's assistant but now she's decided that she has had enough of the constant stress of working under her father and not getting the promotion that she deserves. To start afresh, she moves into Dean's apartment and finds herself a new job but imagine her surprise when she finds her longtime highschool rival and former flame Sutton Barnes, who left her without an explanation, working at the same place.
"She’s a firecracker, and anyone standing too close to her is bound to get burned by her sparks. I would know. I’ve been burned by them before."
Like Holland, Sutton was also fed up of his disfunctional family and wanted out of their shadows. One wrong move and Sutton is being thrown out of his family home by his father. Now he has to find a new job and a place to live to show his parents that he can survive without their money and isn't quite the spoilt child they thought he was.
“Fine. Anything else?” “Just that I hate you.” She smiles sweetly, though her words are anything but. “Feeling’s mutual.”
Sutton & Holland's families ran in the same circles and they were facing similar situations with their families, so they could understand each other pretty well. I have no complaints about the couple because I loved both of them but the plot wasn't explored much.
Tempt Thy Neighbor is part of the Roommate Romps series and I absolutely enjoyed it. The characters were intriguing and I loved reading their relationship developing throughout the story.
This book is filled with interesting tropes!! Roommates, workplace enemies, and even second chance. It was all written so well and it kept the story going, making it even more enjoyable to read. Every interaction between Holland and Sutton were my favorite. They have insane chemistry and the banter between them was funny. Holland and Sutton had great development in the story and even the way their feelings developed was something I honestly really liked.
Teagan Hunter never disappoints when it comes to these types of books that’s filled with banter between characters and chemistry that sparks. Holland and Sutton are both amazing. I loved the interactions they had with characters from the previous books. These type of friendships are amazingly written!
This book was exactly what I needed. I laughed, smiled, got butterflies and even feared up a bit. I wanted light and fluffy with amazing banter and that's just what I got.

Tempt Thy Neighbor is the fourth and final book in the Roommate Romps series by Teagan Hunter. This one portrays the story of Sutton Barnes and Holland Evans, both of whom have known each other for years, and now are forced to be amicable coworkers in spite of not standing each other. Add to the mix having to be roommates and their story gets even more complicated from there on.
I enjoyed this book so much that I could not let myself put it down because of the amazing tropes that Sutton and Holland shared: high school academic rivals to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance, workplace romance, and roommates. Their story was so well done by Teagan, the chemistry and attraction between these two characters made so much sense taking into consideration the history they have behind them, and I was rooting for them to end up together from minute one. They also had an amazing banter going on between the two of them that made their dynamic even more fun to read.
This series has worked so well with the concept of every story focused on the same building, allowing every couple of characters to add their differences and end up together as it was meant to be. I wish we could have get more out of this series because it was really good, but I am very sure that Teagan will come up with a new series that will captivate me as much!
Holland has been unhappy being her dad’s assistant for the past 4-years so she up & quits, uprooting her life, moving to her brother, Dean’s town, eager for a fresh start. When she starts her new marketing job, she is shocked to learn her new coworker is someone from her past, and privileged bad boy, Sutton who ran in the same social circles as her family. Her question is: why is he slinging it in her new small town?
Sutton comes from money and everything in life has been handed to him, but he gives it all up because he’s finally had enough with his family’s crap. So he moves to the town where his beloved aunt lives and gets a job at a marketing firm. Low and behold, his new coworker is a flame from his past, Holland.
As it turns out, they both need an affordable place to live and somehow end up as roommates. They make a pact that under no circumstance can they fall back into old ways aka hooking up. But as one can imagine, their pact isn’t so easy to keep…
Tempt Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter is the 4th & final book in the Roommate Romps series. I really enjoyed this whole series and loved this romance in particular, especially because it included a lot of cameos from the couple from book 1, my favorite in the series. Sutton & Holland had great chemistry and banter and their physical connection was fiery hot. If you love roommates to lovers, workplace romances, second chance meets enemies to lovers—this one’s for you! 4/5 stars.
well this was better than the last one. more on par with the first two. i enjoyed this series, recommended via book club with different narrators for all four books. I like these narrators and erin is one of my favourites. recommended series.
What a fun and sexy way to end this series!! I absolutely adore Teagan's unique brand of humor, and this was no exception. I honestly wasn't ready to say goodbye to these now beloved characters, but I'm so impressed with the way our author closed out this series!!
So here we have Sutton and Holland, who used to be romantically involved after college, and it ended messy. They both got their hearts broken in the end, and haven't been around each other since: until a series of truly unfortunate events for our girl here leads her to not only working with her sworn enemy (and competing for the same promotion) AND are now roommates. (So many tropes in one short romance, but our author here makes it work so well!) We all know this is going to end up messy, but does this stop our characters from falling into bed with one another? If you guessed no, then you win all the prizes!!
I actually really adored the gradual romance between Sutton and Holland, and even though some of their past was a bit confusing at times, they resolved their issues in such an adult way that I loved so much. You can just feel the love they have for one another, even when everything comes crashing down around them. And then their reunion was so precious that I *may* have shed a tear or two. (I totally did) I'm going to miss these characters so darn much!
If you haven't read this series yet, I definitely recommend that you do now that it's complete! All the books are wonderful with just the right amount of heat, and hilarious moments that will have you laughing so hard. There's a reason Teagan is one of my absolute favorites!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**
💙 Workplace Rivalry 💋 Second Chances 💙 Enemies to Lovers 💋 Roommates
Holland is Dean’s sister, from book one in this series! I love how Teagan still incorporated Dean/River, Caroline/Cooper and Maya/Nolan. There friendship is EVERYTHING that I absolutely adored.
Holland is finally out of the family business after being taken advantage most of the time by her parents but it cost her to start over. The same goes for Sutton and together Holland is living with her brother and Sutton is living in a hotel near his Aunt.
It is also a second chance I loved that even more! They are competing for the same promotion without using there Families Surname and trying to find a place to live. A sneaky sneaky Sutton ends up with them being ROOMMATES 👀🤺
The banter Holland had, the quick jabs Sutton and Holland had were so cute and funny. The hurt of betrayal, it was one hellva a read with this Roommate Series that everyone needs to read.
Enemies to lover for the win... This series is turning page after page, devouring them one at a time not wanting to miss a moment of these crazy couples finding their HEA.
Sutton and Holland have an unresolved past and it takes them quite some time to figure out how to make peace with it. But when they do!? Sparks fly all around and makes them see that what they were missing to be happy were each other.
This is my favorite in the series and I absolutely recommend you pick it up and read it. I guarantee you will not be able to out it down.
I did not want Tempt Thy Neighbor to end! This book is light-hearted, funny, and has the perfect amount of steam to get you through these hot summer nights!
I felt like Teagan was not playing around in this book! Sutton, our hero was a lot more crass and dirty talking than what I’m used to seeing in her books and I LOVED it! I love Holland too! The chemistry between the two of them was 🔥 🔥!
I’m starting to realise that the last books from every teagan hunter series it’s actually the best ones.
AHHHH SO IN LOVE WITH HOLLAN AND SUTTON???? read their book in one sitting and I’m obsessed with them, all this chemistry and sexual tension??? YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP! The way they went from childhood rivals to friends with benefits to rivals again and coworkers to rivals and also serving me a second chance….amazing one of Hunter’s best work so far. Loved their banter and the scenes with them and Artemis were so damn cute 🥰
Loved Holland and Sutton’s story! It was absolutely sinful and loads of fun. I am so in love with Teagan Hunters books. They are quirky and loads of fun to read. She has an amazing line up of characters. I wonder where she gets her inspiration from? Hmmmm
Holland has taken a stand against her father. Finally!!! Now she is starting over and crashing on her brother’s couch. But freedom is so so sweet.
Sutton has done it this time. Man, if only he could have held on a bit longer. Now he is shunned and broke. With the help of his Aunt he can overcome anything. This is just a bump in the road. Right??
When a blast from the past crosses Sutton’s path, old feelings of rivalry arise. It’s game on and he intends to win!
These two characters were a blast to read about. Their sexual chemistry blows the pages away. They have plenty of fighting drama to go around. The snarky comments fly page after page, making this book extremely entertaining. A great romantic comedy to put you in the best of moods. It sure will make you busy a gut with laughter. I highly recommend this book for a perfect feel good read.
“You better make sure you know what you’re doing before this goes too far. Because if I take my pants off, I’m going to fuck you, Holland, and we can’t come back from that.”
SLAY. this whole series is top tier rom-com material.
This book hit every one of my favourite things about reading and getting lost in a story! Tension from enemies, workplace shenanigans, great banter, unavoidable interactions constantly, sexual tension just waiting to explode, and secrets and friends that just keep stirring the pot! This book has everything!
Harper and Sutton both find themselves needing a new job and life to branch away from their family ties. Having grown up in the same world, they have previously had altercations quite a few times over the years. Being in such close proximity and so young, of course one thing is going to lead to the other… but hearts are also broken from unsaid things and outsiders meddling in a bad way. Now years later, these two can’t stand each other. But they have to find a way to work with each other as they compete for a position in a new company.
But why have only workplace animosity? No no no. Sutton needs to work his way into a living roommate situation with Harper so he’s not living out of a hotel. Now things are kicked up a new notch because they really can’t get away from each other! Long days at work, then even longer nights at home… Lines are bound to get blurred and crossed at some point with the heated stares and sexual comments.
In the end, will these two be able to work past their previous heartbreaks? Will they be able to make it work when only one person has the option of being offered a full time job? Can they balance figuring out who they really are individually with a career and life before adding a partner? I loved this book form the very start. I love all the intense drama and witty writing. Thank you Teagan for bringing such joy and entertainment with this one!
Teagan Hunter is back at it again, having me addicted to once again an unsuspecting character that tends to become the underdog in the series that steals my heart the most!!
I shall begin by saying, I'm sad to see this series end but so grateful I was here for the journey!
Sutton and Holland's story is an enemies to lovers with a touch of second chance.
They've known each other since high school and have been within each others social circles for years. To pass the time they may have spent an awful lot of time in cloak closets. However when a moment in time taints the past they had they weren't together any more.
It's been a long time since then and both are respectively trying to focus on their lives. Their parents are very set in their ways and haven't crafted the best relationships with them. So when they both reach a breaking point causing their world's to collide once again but this time as roommates AND colleagues it caused a little turmoil.
They have a bet as all good enemies do and it's all fun and games until they both break it together.
This book as all Teagan Hunter reads are, is light, funny, and full of love. We see old characters in the series while also falling for these two newbies.
It's a read that gives me everything I know and love and find comfort in from Teagan Hunter so I can't fault it. If you want a rom-com that is simple and keeps you on your toes with a focus on enemies to lovers love, then this is it for you!
