Inheriting my great-grandfather's mansion seemed like the perfect escape from my troubled past, especially since I could renovate while under house arrest. But when I left warm, sunny Miami for a cold house deep in the New Hampshire wilderness? I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Enter Cyrus, the leather-clad, motorcycle-riding loner who just so happens to have contracting experience. Between his piercing ice blue eyes and those of his broad-shouldered, just-as-gorgeous friend Nolan, the sheriff's deputy, the two of them are willing to take turns keeping me in line.
Then there's Hudson, spiritualist and amateur ghost-hunter, the third friend to round out their hot little trio. With jet black hair and dark, glimmering eyes, I find myself melting into a puddle whenever I'm around him. Or any of them, really. But especially when all three are with me at once.
It's all fun and games until my past shows up to drag me back into trouble, which was bound to happen. And the old Victorian my great-grandfather built holds secrets of its own, some of which are as fascinating as they are terrifying.
Can a girl find love wearing an ankle-monitor with a radius three beautiful hunks wide? Or am I doomed to spend Halloween in my haunted house in the darkened wood all alone?

The Switching Hour is a stand alone, reverse harem, Halloween themed romance that I loved. This is my third book of Krista’s and I just need to accept beforehand that I am going to love whatever she writes. She doesn’t overdo it with the sexy times but the ones she includes are scorching hot. What I love the most, though, is the relationships she weaves between her characters.
Silvana Carter was a Miami girl. But she needed a change. After inheriting a huge Victorian house from a great grandfather she never even knew existed, she decided to pack up her car and start over in New Hampshire. But when she arrives, she realizes the house is not what she thought it would be. It’s in a sad state of disrepair, barely livable. But with nowhere else to go, she is dedicated to making it into her home. Because with the ankle bracelet that is locked around her ankle, she won’t be leaving the property any time soon.
When swoony Cyrus shows up at her house with his leather jacket and muscles for days, she can’t believe her luck. Because Cyrus is a contractor. Then she meets his friend who is also the deputy sheriff, Nolan Miller. And that’s not all. There is a third friend, Hudson Cross, with all of his Hollywood good looks and sweet charm. Between the three of them. Silvana’s days are filled with all the help she can get and her nights are filled with all the hot sexy times she can imagine.
Soon, though, they realize that danger is lurking. Someone wants something from Silvana. But with no idea who it is or what they want, her three men double down on protecting her.
I loved that this had a little suspense thrown in. It made me want to keep turning the pages as fast as I could. I loved this foursome. There were real feelings developing here. The three men treated Silvana like the queen she was to them. But Silvana still doesn’t feel worthy of her men. She doesn’t think she is relationship material. Especially to not one but three men! Can they convince her that she is all they want?
This was so sweet, sexy, romantic and also suspenseful. I found myself thinking about these characters when I was just going about my day. It’s a complete stand alone which was perfect for me. It’s been on my to read list for quite awhile and I’m so glad I finally read it.
This isn't as Halloween-y as I expected. It's not really anything like the cover, title, or the blurb suggests. -The MC is not looking for love. -Her past doesn't "show[s] up to drag me back into trouble". -One day it is Halloween, and the MC does wear a costume, but I wouldn't say "Halloween romance filled tons of tricks and treats". -Slight spoiler but her house isn't haunted, and there is nothing paranormal or witchy about it.
It is a contemporary RH with an MC wearing an ankle bracelet and being constantly monitored. Lots of steamy scenes, simple plotline, and endless devotion.
Silvana moves to New Hampshire when she inherits a house from an unknown relative. She had gotten herself into some trouble so she is currently on house arrest working from home. Hudson, Cyrus and Nolan run a ghost tours business and this is how they meet Silvana. The house she inherited is supposed to be haunted. Its not long before things heat up between them all. Will Silvana's past come between her and the guys? Will something more come from her move?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Spoilers Ahead…. This book was cute. I wanted a good Halloween RH and found this one. The cover is a bit misleading as literally the only thing to do with Witch’s was what Silvana dressed up for, for Halloween. That’s it. 🤷🏼♀️.
So Silvana - a white hat hacker - moves from FL to NH as she inherited a house from her Great Grandfather that she never knew. Currently on house arrest so is unable to come and go into town as she’d like. She quickly meets Cyrus, Nolan and later Hudson. All of them have used her house for paranormal ghost-hunting tours before she moved in.
Things become heated one night when she hears a strange sound and she calls the guys over for protection. The sounds end up being a guy who was trying to break in.
Throughout the book, the guys quickly fall in love with Silvana and are trying to keep her safe from these intruders. Silvana is torn between falling in love and staying in this quite little town as she’s never really had a reason to plant roots before. Can she be falling in love right back with these guys? Will the intruders ever be caught? What’s the deal with the house arrest, ankle bracelet?
I enjoyed this one. However, I was a little disappointed with the plot. Why make the whole paranormal ghost investigation thing a big deal if we never encountered anything while they were at her house. When they finally got the guys trying to rob Silvana - which was another big thing - they didn’t really explain why really well and their ending was anticlimactic. This book was pretty sexy if you want a short read with good “fun times.” To me, the actual story line needed some work.
It was a fun, quick read.
*Overall 3/5 *Heat? 4/5 *First person POV - mostly Silvana, but also the guys *MFMM Romance (No MM) *Bonus Epilogue ♥️ *Ends at 91% *HEA? Yes
This is absolutely not a Halloween romance, I agree with other reviews that say the cover is misleading. Definitely, obviously, gives you witch/shifter romance vibes, which is not the case at all. If you went in blind you would be so disappointed.
The writing itself wasn't terrible but it could have done with another editing pass. The first time you meet Cyrus he is both clean-shaven and sporting stubble in the same sentence. The first two sex scenes start off almost identically, but in the second she says shes never done anything like it before - she had, like 7 chapters ago.
I also couldn't get over how people were reacting to learning her name was Silvana - beautiful, breathtaking, sexy - seriously??
Good mix between investigation and hot romance 4.5 The story has a predictable part about romance with 3 men, but less so about people who seem to want something from the heroine Sylvana. Sylvana gave up all of her rotten life in Florida, to live in her grandfather's old almost ruined New Hamshire home she didn't know about, all under the control of an electronic bracelet. She meets 3 men who support her when disturbing events start around her house. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This Reverse Harem Romance has a unique and entertaining story with intense, unique and sexy characters. This story starts with her inheriting her grandfathers property and fixing it up under house arrest. She meets and engages in a relationship with her 3 men, but will she stay. This story just keeps you engaged until the last page. This book has many twists, turns, action, adventure, and a HEA. This is a must read book for those love Reverse Harem Book.

I really enjoyed both the underlining mystery story and hot romance that this book had to offer. I really enjoyed all of the characters and each of the men brought a little something different. This was a fun read over the Halloween season. Will be recommending.
This wasn’t a Halloween book. I should have checked the reviews. It’s fine for what it is and I needed something really light after a busy and intense day but the blurb is absolutely stretched to make this seem like a completely different read.
DNF -quit at 43% I am very disappointed, I somehow got the impression this was going to be a paranormal reverse harem book that centers around Halloween, maybe shifters, and the FMC -a witch. Not even slightly paranormal, unless you count the guys’ side gig of ghost hunting or what ever it is they called it, by the point I quit, there was no mention of Halloween, only that the weather is getting colder, & the only witchy anything was the cover pic with the witch hat. Nothings really explained in the story, like how she drove from Miami to New Hampshire with an ankle tracker on, to just decide on her own it’d be ok to leave the state & relocate on her own, & you can see the guys catching feelings way to fast for well- guys. Overall impression, this reads like a novella, with no character development, no real plot, too many plot holes that don’t add up, and not enough to hold my interest, even the 2 sex scenes were kinda bland for a RH by the point I quit. I am deleting this from my Kindle books.
At my age (61), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
This is an extremely hot one! Whew, the heat level is off the charts. It starts off with Silvana Carter driving from Miami to a small town in Sullivan County, New Hampshire. She's driving to a house that her great grandfather left to her in his will because she needed a change in the life she had in Miami. She gets to the house and discovers a very dilapidated Victorian house. The next morning finds her cleaning and deodorizing the place when the local sheriff arrives to reset her electronic ankle monitor that was placed on her courtesy of the Miami-Dade probation department. She was now being monitored by the local law enforcement and could only go fifty yards from the house before the alarm was triggered and only go shopping for a two hour time limit and only after she cleared it with the sheriff beforehand. She then needs to set up a satellite dish up on the roof of her ramshackled inheritance in order to continue her work. She climbed out the third story window on to the roof where she intended to set up the tripod for the dish. She lost her balance and went skidding down the steep roof incline and over the edge, falling down, down. She was caught and saved from hitting the ground; her savior was an Adonis of a man. He introduces himself as Cyrus and he asks her what she was doing there and she explained that she was willed the house and was moving in. She asks what he is doing there and he explains that he conducts paranormal investigations there and has captured quite a bit of evidence. The next day, Cyrus shows up to shore up and fix the roof for Silvana to put her dish up. Another visitor makes an appearance, it's a deputy sheriff to check on her and boy is he an eyeful. A Greek god here on earth and he introduces himself as Nolan Miller and she's taken with him, just as she is with Cyrus. To top it all off, both men are very good friends with each other, sometimes working together and working out together. Whew, it's getting hot here. Later, Silvana literally runs into her next paramour, Hudson, at the local grocery store. She finds out that he and Cyrus are together on the paranormal investigating and sometimes Nolan helps out.. Hudson then claims to her that he has definitive proof that her home has paranormal activity. She invites him to come to her house on Friday night. Next, Silvana makes a frightened call to Cyrus. She heard a strange clawing sound coming from across the hall from her bedroom. He quickly comes to her aid and investigates around the property. While he is outside on the other side of the house, she is startled by the sudden appearance of Nolan. He explained that Cyrus called him while he was on his way over. Cyrus says that it looked like something attempted to crawl up the siding towards the second floor. Silvana expresses her trepidation about staying there by herself and no sooner has she said that then her two hunky saviors are getting undressed and crawling into bed with her. More steamy heat ensues! This is where I'll leave you so you'll have to read the book to discover what happens next. Let's just say there a lot more heat as this reverse harem romance as well as a mystery as to who's after Silvana and why. This book is totally worth getting with it's original, strong storyline and it's very likeable characters. The steam is off the charts with this one!

I might have technically finished this, but I'm throwing it on the DNF shelf because I kinda wish I didn't. It was mostly frustrating. I guess I just didn't really care for the morality of the characters. Sure, I have no problems with the multiple partners aspect, but the breach of professional ethics to steal from clients that trusted you to test their computer systems, that doesn't speak well for you as a person, or as a professional (Seriously, how does she still get clients?? Plus, she got caught, not speaking positively of her skills...). And then there's the whole "she's got a good head on her shoulders" (sheriff said, I think) - WTF?!?! No, clearly she doesn't, or she wouldn't be under house arrest for stealing from clients. She's complaining about how much work she has, but instead of raising her rates and profiting from the demand for her services, she decides she wants to steal from her clients? No mention of "hey these were bad guys, terrible companies" or whatever, just ~"wanted to see if I could do it" and ~"I enjoy the thought that they can't figure out why their books don't balance" (which shouldn't actually be a result of this kind of embezzlement, unless she's f'ing with the systems to ensure transactions don't balance, which is hella attention-getting and asking to get caught). And the guys basically making up hauntings in that house, the house that wasn't theirs, and they had no rights to or permission from the owners to enter, and yet they built their whole side gig on trespassing there, sometimes with others who paid them for the privilege of trespassing with them on a guided tour of the (completely faked) haunted house. I mean, sure, kudos for successful marketing, but your enterprise, undertaken by none other than the deputy sheriff, is inherently criminal (plus, dishonest; I mean, I think it's one thing to hunt ghosts if you believe in that, or want to search for evidence for or against, but another thing to go into it to deceive others who have the expectation that you're telling the truth as you believe it). And then at the end, sure you all spend so much time and energy fixing up that house together, but meh, let's build new. Okay, yes, this criticism is totally personal coming from my love of old houses, and my liking of the connection inherent with a house coming from a relative. But still. I admit, after thinking on it longer, it's understandable that she might want a home that doesn't have the baggage of "this is the house I couldn't hardly leave for a year because of house arrest." It just seemed so out of left-field, she had been saying she liked the house and the pond, and was fixing it up to her liking. So weird and jarring. Anyway, I will definitely pass on future books by this author.
Also, petty gripe, but how does the author figure it's "A Halloween" book, when basically one scene is during Halloween and there's no paranormal activity at all??? The Author is as deceptive as her characters...

** sWITCH-a-roo warning ** I like this book, mostly. This is a contemporary, medium-burn, reverse harem romance. It has a few graphic, steamy hot love scenes, interesting characters, a couple of funny scenes, fast-paced action, and a surprising villain or three. It's a fun, quick read. I like how some books and movies were referenced, and now I need to read or watch them again.
I love how the female main character is named after Silvana, Wa, a small "rural community" in Snohomish County. I might have to drive a bit and visit. The setting of a small town in New Hampshire is a far cry from my neck of the woods, and I liked how it played a large part of the story. I enjoyed the suspense with the reason for Silvana's house arrest. It isn't explained for a good third of the book.
The guys - Nolan, Cyrus, and Hudson - fall in love really fast, so this is kind of like an insta-love romance. It would be cool if there was a bit more description of how they caught feelings so quickly. I would also like to know more about their ghost-hunting business. Sheriff Dodson snuck up on me and I think he's my favorite character, even though he's a support character.
While there is a bit of Halloween stuff, it's just one section of Silvana's story. I was hoping the haunted house setting would be more important to the plot, or have a climax on Halloween. Rather, it's kind of similar to a couple of Krista's previous books (Quadruple Duty and Trading with the Boys) where the house is a fixer-upper. I'm also disappointed that the haunting or ghost-hunting were not more important in this plot.
There are a couple of glitches, too: There's a sentence that contradicts itself and makes no sense, regarding Cyrus' stubble on his face or lack thereof. When describing Hudson, Silvana says he has dark hair and a goatee, and therefor, he's a Lestat look-alike. Um, I'm pretty sure that Lestat is blond and has no facial hair. Also, at the climax, I have no idea what happened with Liam, the dog.
The plot seems rushed, almost like there are some scenes left out, or maybe the author changed her mind about the haunted house / ghost hunting story and made it more about the FMC's career as a "white hat" hacker. This could explain the "switch" in the title. 👻
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Silvana sweet, intelligent, a little on the crazy side (in a good way 😊), under house arrest for committing a cyber crime and deciding to move from FL to NH to a home her late great grandfather (whom she didn’t even know existed left her. Upon arriving she gets a little more than she bargained for a rundown house that needs lots of love, care and fixing up. She meets the sexy as all get out Deputy Sheriff Nolan, his sexy as all get out friend Cyrus who is in construction muscles also, into ghost hunting in her grandfather’s home. She meets him just as she if falling off the roof the muscle man caught her and then Hudson whom she ran into literally while in the store but the thing all three are best friends, all three are drawn to her. Hudson, Nolan and Cyrus help her with the renovation and are attracted to her one evening when she thought she hears something calling on them for help and it is all down hill for the four of them chemistry is insanely intense among them all and the magnetic pull is too strong to ignore but are there really ghost in her home, who is after her or her home, will the three protect her and can they find happiness on this path?
Silvana left Miami for New Hampshire after a great-grandfather leaves her a house on the outskirts of a small town. Being on house arrest means she has plenty of time to clean the run down neglected house in between working as a white-hat hacker testing companies security vulnerabilities. Then she meets three of the towns single men, all who seem interested in helping her with repairs and keeping her company. Silvana never expected to click on a personal level with Nolan, the local deputy sheriff. Or construction worker Cyrus. Or amateur ghost hunter Hudson, especially all at the same time.
Silvana and her three guys are having the time of their lives exploring her house, the property, as well as the developing relationship between them. That is, until Silvana's past shows up to drag her back into the trouble she thought she'd left behind.
This book had potential. A little lengthy, I begin to skim some pages as the sex scenes became monotonous after awhile. There were also areas this author introduced that felt suddenly dropped like a hot potato. Like finding hidden spaces or rooms that were hidden for what reason? What was in there? Why introduce that idea and then drop it when it could have added interest to the story line? And how did the bad guys track Silvana to New Hampshire?
Overall this was a fun read with a lot of spicy scenes, but I didn't find it to be anything special. I preferred "Stealing Candy" by this author a lot more.
So first of all the whole blurb is misleading as to what it's about and I wouldn't really call it a Halloween romance. There are definitely fall vibes, but there's maybe two chapters where Halloween is even mentioned and it's not even really a big part of the story.
Here's a couple areas that I felt were a little bit of a miss for me:
1.) The guys characters could have used some more development.
2.) The plot was resolved way too quickly and it was so anticlimactic.
3.) There was a decent amount of set up regarding the guys side gigs as paranormal investigators that use the house, it seems like that could easily have been developed into a really cool part of the plot.
4.) The logic in regards to the legalities of her house arrest didn't really make much sense and kept sticking in my brain. Like why was she able to transfer her house arrest between states on what seemed like a whim and what about the access she has to certain things that relate to her crimes? Maybe if they were explained away rather than just not mentioned it wouldn't have bothered me so much.
DNF at 40%, so no star rating. The cover and title are misleading. I was starting to get concerned, so I checked reviews: there is nothing fantasy/paranormal/witchy in the book. That is an automatic 2 star loss right there. Don't lie to me about what the story is.
Beyond that, it's not good either. I've never read a story quite like this, and I don't mean the multiple partners bit. This reads 100% like it was written by a "dude". Not even just a man, a "dude-bro" who watches too much porn. The way the guys talk to the heroine, when they drive up on their motorcycle, after going to the gym, on their way to the construction site? Ughh.
All of the sex scenes were just descriptions of actual porn. I've read tons of smut, but this is just literally a porn script. People that have never had sex together before, everything communicated silently, no verbal consent. Lots of "pulling my thong to the side", you know, stuff that you never read in a steamy romance.
This honestly reads like it was written by a man. I've never enjoyed the random sex scenes I've read in literary fiction written by men. The only romances that I've read by men were m/m.
Now the guys are getting jealous, because they've never done this before? No. Not what I was looking for.
Silvana moves from Florida to New Hampshire when she inherits a house from an unknown relative. She is currently on house arrest and is working as a white hat hacker from home. We learned more about her than the guys in this story and I enjoyed her character. Cyrus, Nolan and Hudson end up being her knights in shining armor, helping her survive house arrest and they come running every time she calls. The guys have potential but we don't get to know them nearly as well. This really isn't a Halloween story, except that it occurs in the fall and they do dress up for the holiday. Silvana dressed up as a witch for Halloween is the only witch that shows up in the book, despite the books cover art. In addition, the ghost story of the house is talked around but is never given. There are a couple of bad buys chasing Silvana but that is the only conflict in the book. Most of it revolves around the RH relationship of the four and a ton of steamy scenes. There is a lot of potential with the book but I was left disappointed.

Silvana inherits her grandfathers house but it is in a state of disrepair and apparently haunted! This is how she meets her lovers to be, Cyrus, Hudson and Nolan. They run ghost tours which include over night stays in her house. Nobody has ever lived in the house since her grandfather left this very strange little town with it’s tight knit community. Silvana is a ‘white’ hat hacker who got into trouble when she was caught wearing a ‘black’ hat. She has to wear an ankle monitor and serve out her sentence, so she decided on a fresh start and this is how her unexpected life begins. The house needs a lot of work doing to it and her men help her to slowly chip away at it turning this empty house into a home. As they work together and play together the bonds that tie them together develop into something much deeper. But somebody’s followed Silvana and they want something from her. She suspects that it’s somehow linked to her job and when things heat up when it becomes clear that her life is in danger…Another excellent RH story that can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

In this book we meet Silvana Carter, Cyrus, Hudson Cross, Nolan Miller. When this book opens we find that Silvana has inherited a house from her Grandfather that she has never met. When she gets to the house she finds that it has good bones but will need quite a bit of work to be livable. Shortly after she arrives so does the sheriff. See she is on house arrest and has only gotten permission to move since she owns the house she is moving to. The first person she meets is Cyrus who actually saves her life when she nearly falls off the roof. Nolan is her next person to meet since he is the undersheriff it makes sense he would come out to the house. When she finally gets into town she meet Hudson while in the grocery story. Each of these people come to together for the possibility that Silvana's house is haunted. Can they find the HEA or will the whole thing come down on their heads?
Another amazing story by this author. These characters go through so many things before this story is done. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Turning up to start her new life in the house Silvana's great grandfather left her was a shock when she saw how decrepit & scary looking it was but she had no choice but to make the best of it especially being tagged she didn't have a voice to go anywhere else. Whilst trying to fix up the house she finds herself in the capable hands of three mega hot friends who will do anything for her & when it seems like her life is in danger they are determined to keep her safe. Not having had the greatest upbringing being in Foster homes she found it hard to believe the guys really loved her & scared to feel the same until eventually she couldn't deny it anymore. This is a sweet, hot, funny, caring, a grumpy but nice sheriff story that also has a bit of mystery & drama. I loved this & spent most of the time with a smile on my face reading it.

This is a standalone reverse harem romance. Not only is this story hot but it’s also sweet. All three guys are romantic and caring in their own individual ways. The story was fun with enough intrigue to keep me turning the pages. Silvana inherits a home in New Hampshire from her great grandfather. Since her life in Miami is going downhill fast, she decides to move. She gets more than she bargained for, the house is rundown but it isn't long before she has the help and attention of three hot guys who are best friends. There also seem to be someone trying to break in to her house, what could they possible want? Silvana doesn’t' trust or let in many people. Will she trust the guys, their feelings for her or hers for them? Will she breakdown the walls around her heart?

This is an interesting story with little mystery, a little spooky, a little dangerous. Lots of fun and loving with three quite different men, a deputy sheriff, a construction worker jack of all trades, and a construction worker haunted house tour guide. I love the fixing up of the old Victorian house. The dog is sweet too, the discovery of the bmx course, the dock, and the star gazing circle are all neet bits of the property. I was kinda hoping for a bit of history and maybe the discovery of a hidden room, an actual ghost or unexplained happenings. They make it seem like the older part of the house has a story but they never tell it. It may have been interesting if the crazy guy who tried to break in was her long lost father or something.... Its a good story though.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. The characters were all strong and exciting and really grabbed your attention. The main female character Silvana was on house arrest after committing a cyber crime and has moved to her great grandfather’s house she was left in his will. She meets the Deputy Sheriff Nolan who is built like a weight lifter, then there is Cyrus who works construction and ghost hunts in the house. He comes by and catches Silvana when she falls off the roof, then there is Hudson whom Silvana literally ran into at the store. The three guys are all best friends who share Silvana and help her when trouble comes calling. You can’t miss the exciting dramas that unfold through this story.

Silvana inherits an old house from an unknown great-grandfather and decides to start over. She goes to a sleepy small town in Oregon and finds an abandoned and completely derelict building. She immediately goes to work cleaning the house and shortly afterwards she meets three incredibly good-looking men, one after the other, who have been doing ghost tours in her now new house as a part-time job for years. Hudson, Nolan and Cyrus help her with the renovation and are sexually attracted to her at the same time. A wonderful reverse harem story typical of Krista Wolf - full of tension, self-doubt, independent women and dominant yet affectionate men. Exactly my thing.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Silvana has come to New Hampshire because of some inheritance. She arrives to find that she might be in over her head. The fact that she is on house arrest complicates things further. Cyrus, Hudson and Nolan come into her life and each connect with her. There is some mention of paranormal and Halloween is part of the time line but other than that, the story is about their developing relationship. The sweet side of it along with the steamy. They have some obstacles to get past, but together their lives are changed for the better. This is not one of my favorites by Krista, although still a good rh romance.

Our heroine is trapped in a haunted house on Halloween. Fortunately, she has three strapping heroes to comfort her.
This is another steamy reverse harem story from our author, something that she has proven she knows how to write well. While I enjoy all the stories from the author, this one stands out from the batch. The story is well written with a nice combination of action and steam. The characters are well developed, with each of the men having a distinct personality and style. But my favorite part is the Halloween themed elements that went into the story. Overall, another fun and sexy read.
Highly recommended.

Apparently all Kindle wants me to read is RH novels. So. There's that. But this one wasn't half shabby. The entitled 'witch' theme is barely a footnote, if that, but I think it's more of referring to the term 'witching hour'--since a few key events of the storyline match up to midnight or later. So I definitely agree with all the reviews stating 'ain't got nothin' to do with Halloween'--because it just don't.
I'm definitely a fan of white hat hackers being featured as the main heroine, so she was a no-brainer favorite for me. I appreciated her spunk. I do think there could be a little more 'oomph' to the villains/baddies involvement. That part felt very one dimensional and not well integrated to the rest of the story, just felt it could have been more.
6 Stars Haunted house in the woods, 3 hot guys, 1 gal with an ‘ankle bracelet’ What a story! Loved this story from page one! The storyline is so well done, and the characters are so beautifully interwoven that the book grabs you and doesn’t let go! I was so captivated that I could not put the kindle down until I got to the end. I’m kind of at a loss for words, which is unusual for me, but nothing I can think to say would do justice to the book. I enjoyed reading it so much. It has everything I like in a book; angst, a bit of suspense, laughter, steam, a few tears, and a fantastic ending. I could not ask for more! To sum it up: Krista Wolf writes good stuff!
