Echo Breaker Book 1 Not Enough Series Eden Wolfe & Craig Martelle 314 Pages
Short Synopsis
Echo Breaker took me for a dive into another world, an echo world. A world that offers to fulfill your greatest dreams, but to do this takes you away from the real world. The echo world is not real. There is a fault there somewhere, and when it is found, the echo closes.
Ravlen is only twelve, but she is special. Born in the echo, she has capabilities that others don’t. Can she use them to help herself and others?
My Thoughts
I enjoyed this unique take on another world. I especially loved the echo world. Each echo world is unique because they are formed from people’s greatest desires. They never know what they will find.
The characters are spunky, courageous, & caring for the most part. There are a few you’d like to give a good square kick in the pants too. This makes the story sizzle!
This is a three book series. I am excited to jump into the next one!

The Not Enough series opener is Echo Breaker. Craig Martelle partners up with Eden Wolfe, to write a coming of age fantasy epic, aimed at 13-18 year olds, that will appeal to any and all 'recycled teenager'/ fantasy fans from 9-99.
Main character Ravlen is twelve years old and, unknown to her, was born in the alternate reality (with an enhanced ability to visit and return from), the so-called Echo World, by leaving a part of themselves behind...when does she learn she's different? Who's Madame?

This is a type of story I have never read about before. I do like it, though, and look forward to the next one. The plot is a bit more difficult to follow than most and I was constantly wondering what was coming next. I liked the main character and her supporting characters. It is strange to read about an antagonist that isn't completely evil though. I encourage readers to read the story and make up their own minds. I do recommend this book.
The concept for the universe is interesting, the characters are fun, and there is a dog, what else could be better. Ok, it doesn’t yet have aliens or dragons, but there is always time in future books to bring that in too. I liked the main character and her adventures. I recommend this book.
I got this because of Craig Martelle; love all his books....getting the next in series because the story is captivating. You will enjoy this rabbit hole
a fascinating book with a convincing 12-year-old heroine with special abilities. 1st book in a literally fantastic trilogy. Can't wait to read Book Number 2.
Ravlen is a young girl who has untold abilities. She is a powerful girl set to protect her world from harm. There are untold numbers of what are called "echo" worlds. These worlds mimic her world and she has to destruct these worlds so they don't harm her world.
Wow what a ride! Reread this book for the second time and it was so entertaining and enjoyable, I read it in one sitting.
I love Ravlens character arc and how she progresses throughout the story. Friendship is a major theme throughout Echo Breaker and I was emotionally invested right until the end.
The antagonist in this story was well crafted and I liked how they were humanised and shown in different ways, not just as the villain.
The plot was original and gripping and it leads perfectly onto the sequel which I am starting right now!
I would recommend this to all young adults out there. The morals and overall message are very wholesome and positive. This is way better than most YA stuff out there right now. Romance is featured in this but in a very sweet way, it is not trashy or cheap.
I would also recommend this book for adults as I am 25 but still really enjoyed this. The fantasy elements were well explained and each scene was written excellently.
