A smuggler running solo Iroth doesn’t deal in live cargo, but the job on Earth’s too good to pass up—purchase a female, escort her to Kirenai Prime, and rake in the credits. Except it was all a setup. Now he's on the hook for attempting to assassinate the crown prince. To avoid being shot on sight, he’s forced to assume the shape of one of the human’s primitive four-legged pets. But as a mysterious ailment threatens to compromise his disguise, he seeks refuge with a breathtaking female who turns out to be as strong as she is sweet, and his plan to escape goes to the dogs.
A caregiver with nerves of steel Maise expected to leave the charity auction with a hot date. Instead, she goes home with a wounded Great Dane and a whole lot of questions. When the giant canine transforms into a sultry blue alien with turquoise eyes and asks for her help, she can’t refuse… until she helps him back onto his space ship, and he won’t let her leave.
She’s determined to find an escape, but the more time they spend together, the more she suspects he’s not the alien monster she imagined. But will her strength and kindness be enough to melt the armor around his heart?

This was amazing !! I will never get tired of the double shafts !! I need that type of energy in my life !! Where the freak is my fated mate 😔😞!! Ugh, come fight me rawr 🦁!!
The third installment in the series, "Iroth" by Tasmin Ley, continues to meet readers' expectations. If you have an affinity for captivating stories featuring alluring aliens and resilient female protagonists, this book and the entire series will undoubtedly pique your interest. It's worth noting that for a comprehensive grasp of the ongoing intrigue, it's advisable to read the series in sequential order. This review highlights the series' ability to consistently deliver on its promise of engaging characters and an intriguing narrative.
Misunderstood and betrayed but a sweet kindness from his fated mate brings hope of a better future and renewed trust.
Loved this quick alien romance with a trusting human dog trainer and an alien on the run to avoid being wrongly accused of an assassination. You get nursed to health trope, abduction to keep his faked death a secret, and a love to risk your life for.
I enjoy the blue gelatin aliens that take on the form of their mate's preference. Such a fun concept and the world building adds to the enjoyment.
This third book was the best yet. I loved Iroth and Maise as characters. This book gives a third view of the events of book one. Each book we get to know characters better but also get to know more about how they fit into the overall story. Now I just gotta go grab book 4!
No matter the species, be they from Earth or Outer Space, it will alway's break my heart, when someone is judged not for what they've done or as the case may be, hadn't done, but from the circumstances of their birth. Iroth is one of theses being's, plying a trade by circumstances, not choice, and now has found himself in a most difficult situation. Maise is a heart stealing, sweet and honest caring, dog loving individual, who has found herself caught smack dub in the middle of said difficult situation. Can or will theses two so different individuals be able to bypass all the difficulties placed before them and come out the other side with their hearts intact, or broken? Iroth is a pas......, nope! You'll need to read it yourself to see the outcome. I received an ARC from the author, still brought a copy, because it is worth it, and am leaving an honest review. I highly recommend Iroth for a most welcome few hours out of this world read. Scifi romance is wonderful when done right. Looking forward to more. Oh, and I absolutely love Zhinko, hilarious. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Is he a good guy or a bad guy? I loved this continuation of the series! The story begins with the assassination and then moves quickly into the larger plot where actions get sticky. I read it straight through, it held my interest from start to finish and I loved all four of the main characters. I mean, an AI is a character, right? I'm going to say he was, lol, Iroth was a guy that was hard to define because of the way he switched up just a few chapters in, but he was complicated. Maise was just an open book, her character was just a caring and helpful individual, and Bixby makes me want to get a Sheltie too! I received an advance reading copy of this book and I'm leaving this review just to share my own opinion. This isn't a cliffhanger, but it is part of a series and you'd be more familiar with the characters and storyline if you read them in order but you don't necessarily have to, you know what I mean?
Iroth is book 3 of 3 in the Tamsin Ley series Kirenai Fated Mates that falls within a multi-author series Intergalactic Dating Agency. All of the authors' book series will be standalone, so I think it's safe to start with any author. This particular set would be best read in order, though you can start here without losing too much. The book is written in third person omniscient from both leads' point of view (alternating).
This series features alien shapeshifters with an interesting twist. Iroth follows the first two books, though the majority of all three are written as such that the timeline is simultaneous (they're all happening at once except for the very end). In this last installment we finally get to see what was going on with Maise in all those voicemails she left Lora last book. Maise is a pet shelter owner working on becoming a veterinarian who accidentally brought home a stray from the alien dating mashup her friend hosted that was a lot more than he seemed. Iroth is a smuggler who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now has to find a way to escape.
The story follows these two through an awkward meeting, some very sweet care-giving from our heroine, a sneaky trick from our hero, a bit of space faring adventure, interesting AI's, some soul-searching from both parties, a little heartbreak, and a bit of growth as well. Sometimes change is good even when it hurts. I liked these two characters and found they were well suited for one another. I do wish the book had been a bit longer to better explore their relationship growth.
If you like your alien romances with lots of blue, some furry friends, a little nefarious intent, a dose of steam, forgiveness, friendship, and quirky robots this is a great read for you. I loved this series and will definitely be reading more if she adds them!
I enjoyed Maise and Iroth’s fated mates alien romance. Iroth is an alien who does various shady things for money. Maise is a human who owns a dog grooming business and is studying to be a vet. When an assassination attempt occurs during an earth hosted bachelor auction, Iroth fears he will be blamed and hides with Maise. Ultimately forcing her off world to protect himself. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, messy families, painful pasts, political intrigue, light danger, poor choices, and instalove. While short, the story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. I especially loved the AI Zhinko. He was a wonderful addition to the story. I’ll definitely keep reading the series.
At the end of Zhiruto, Officer Lora Griffin realizes her friend Maise is missing. In Iroth, we discover what happened to Maise. She’s been kidnapped by Iroth.
There are plots within plots, and it will take a good deal of unraveling to arrive at the entire truth. But despite the many misunderstandings, Iroth and Maise fall in love. Stockholm Syndrome? Judge for yourself!
Five stars for this clever and sweet love story!
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved this book. There is so much excitement, intrigue, emotion, twists and turns. He takes on a job and is setup. She goes to a charity auction hoping to get a hot date and ends up with a wounded dog. But surprise, surprise guess who that is. They end up in an adventure together. I recommend it. Keeps you attention with so much excitement going on. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Regardless of the start that focuses on a massacre of aliens on Earth, or that the mc is awfully hard hearted, this book is warm and positive. There are tears (I cried) and there are moments of humour. Okay I giggled more than once. The storyline is a darn good one and part of an excellent series. I defy anyone to do other than love Maise, she’s the best. She’s warm and sweet enough to melt an alien’s hard heart.
I enjoyed this book because the focus was on being judged for your appearance and always feeling like an outcast and “not as good” as those around you. I can totally relate. I thought that Maisie was incredibly empathetic and just what her alien needed. She saw him and not what he looked like.
This was another fun read for the series and I really loved how Maisie and Iroth came together. He got set up and was basically outcast, and her soft and caring heart let her see him for who he was. Of course, love found a way but their path was not smooth. Expect humour, action, adventure and intrigue to fully entertain you when you crack this one open ;D
2.5 stars. I would have liked more development to explain Iroth’s burendo status and how even his family seemed to have discarded him. The story was different since Maise didn’t jump on him on day one, but after weeks and weeks. And it’s great that the Prince hired Iroth. I mean it only makes sense to utilize someone with those skills.
I Roth has learned through experience not to trust. He ends up abducting a woman who knows what he is and escapes to outer space. He falls in love with her and wants to do anything to keep her safe. You need to read this book to learn how everything works out.
This was a very good continuation of the Kirenai story. Characters were well written and with a deeper development of previous introduced characters. I suggest that the reader follow the order in reading as it leads to a deeper involvement in each story. Enjoy!
Good story of love and fear on his behalf, using a blue male was good and he found his love but did not say until she is leaving. Good that she convinced the Prince that with the film he was not the assassin.
This book also had good character development and a coherent plot. I enjoyed both of the main characters and the AI. The story was entertaining as well.
I read this days ago and I know I enjoyed but forgot to post a review.
So, Iroth is supposed to take a human to a buyer so he attends an event on earth he assumes is to purchase a human female. He is a species that is looked down on because he can change his color and form where other's can only change their form. During the event their is an attempt on the princes life (book one) and Iroth needs to get out of there because he is the one that will be blamed. He pretends he is hurt and decides a female will be perfect to help him.
Maise wants to be a vet, well her Mom wants her to be and she has dementia so Maise feels compelled to heed her wishes. Then she takes a hurt dog home to help him and he changes into an alien. Iroth convinces her to help him get to his ship and then he doesn't let her off. He needs to deliver a female to his buyer accept now he is starting to have feelings for Maise and is torn.
Loved this third story in this series that continues with the pet/dating an alien charity where Prince Arazhi life is threaten. This story is about Iroth a smuggler who comes to Earth to get a female human to sale and gets blamed for the assassination attempt. Hunted Iroth shape shifts into a Great Dane which Maise takes home. When Iroth transforms into a blue alien and asks for help, Maise does. What occurs afterwards is an engaging story with twists and turns with likable characters in a well written storyline that kept me entertained while I read this ARC that I volunteer to review.
I don't know if there are anymore but I hope so! I loved it. I'm sorry to say I'm short of time right now, & can't get into a deep review. Just if you have a thing for the intergalactic dating agency series the way I do, read it. You won't be sorry! I picked it up & didn't put it down until I absolutely had to. I'm sure I will probably read it many times over before I get through to summertime. I know some people can only read a story once & not want to read it again. I'm lucky I guess, I'm not like that. I can read a book over & over & not get tired of it. Like I said, Read it!
