There is no limit to how much I love Cherry Magic. These characters are so endearing. And Toyota Yuu's soft touch with ordinary-seeming people being absolutely bizarre just below the surface is SO delicious. Handsome Kurosawa is SUCH a weirdo. I love him.

This was a cute volume, and I wish the whole series was a bit faster paced overall or had a bit more going on, as opposed to having any particular objections to this one.

As soon as it finally gets good, the volume is over. While I still feel Adachi is a Debby Downer, I don’t Kurosawa’s feelings to get hurt. Hopefully we get more action in the next volume.

Oh, I loved this one! New powers are discovered (and I just laughed) and I wonder how much we will see that happen, we see some more romance between Tsuge and Wataya (though he sees Tsuge as a dad, oh no, that poor guy is doing his best and is seen as that), there is a special part in which everyone is together and tests items for work, Adachi is honest to Kurosawa about his powers and I just loved how Kurosawa reacted to that (oh he is going to use that so much and I cannot wait to see more of it). I loved that Adachi was worried how Kurosawa would feel in regards to the mindreading and did try to be more mindful of it and I was proud that he finally chatted about it. There are some romantic moments that made me smile! I am also happy that Adachi is getting more confident in his work and people are noticing!

Honesty is the best way forward :-) It is such a good choice that Adachi chooses to tell Kurosawa about his wizarding skills and it is rather funny that Kurosawa immediately puts this skill to use as a hidden way of flirting.
The relationship between Tsuge and Minato is also moving along nicely. Low self-esteem issues can truly be a barrier to connecting with others so it is nice to see that a cat can bridge the gap.

Well, Masato-san, time to become a daddy then 😏 Maybe I shouldn't be a little more invested in the side-plot than the main couple, but alas! Anyway, I am so relieved the conversation in this happened, it was long overdue. The conflict being immediately strewn in is a little stressful, but this series overall is very much the epitome of not-stressful, so we'll be fine :D

So much happened in this volume. I can't believe we're 5 volumes in and we are just getting a first kiss. It was worth the wait, but it was the slowest of slow burns. Adachi was worried about telling Kurosawa the truth, and it all comes to a head in this one. Finally, Kurosawa finds out his big secret! Kurosawa, acted like I thought he would and what happens afterwards, made me squeal! The preview of volume 6 has me so worried; I need it now! Luckily, the next volume is out this month.

Mis niños oficialmente son una pareja 😭 Tuvieron que recorrer un largo camino para llegar aquí pero soy la más feliz de al fin verlos juntos y felices 🩵 ¡Son tan lindos y tan cursis! ¡Los shipeo tanto! ✨
Bueno, en este tomo aún vemos cosas que yo ya conocía del anime, la mayoría de la trama se queda justo como ya la había visto pero eso no quita que la experiencia de leerlo en manga sea linda y me cause mucha felicidad 🥹✨
Aquí la trama gira en torno a qué el día en que tienen que hacer una demostración de producto en la empresa de Adachi y Kurosawa coincide justamente con el cumpleaños de Kurosawa 🫢 El problema es que Adachi no lo sabía y pocos días antes de la fecha se quiebra la cabeza para idear algo para regalarle a Kurosawa... Lo malo es que Adachi siempre ha sido terrible dando regalos 👀
Pero para fortuna de Adachi ahora cuenta con su magia, es capaz de leer la mente de Kurosawa y así saber exactamente lo que él desea como regalo 🙌 Lo malo es que Adachi empieza a sentir remordimiento por depender tanto de su poder, siente que no está siendo justo con Kurosawa al invadir la privacidad de su mente... Pero está vez es por una buena causa, ¿no? Al fin y al cabo es para hacer feliz a Kurosawa 🫢
Ahora, la cosa se complica un poco porque para la demostración de producto de la empresa tienen que llevar voluntarios, Adachi lleva a Masato Tsuge (quién a su vez lleva a Minato Wataya) 😌 Ahí todo bien, pero la cosa se pone rara porque Kurosawa siendo Kurosawa se pone celoso de Tsuge 😅
Tsuge aprovecha que tiene la oportunidad de hablar con Adachi y le cuenta que ahora el tiene "magia" 👀 ¿Por? Pues porque también llegó virgen a los 30 y como añadido está enamorado de Minato, quién no lo toca ni con un palo 😅
Pero bueno, ese no es el punto aquí ☝️ La cuestión es que Kurosawa se siente celoso y por ende en un momento de esa conversación que Adachi tiene con Tsuge al niño se le ocurre robarse a Adachi y dejar a Tsuge como loco hablado solo 😅
Entonces, Kurosawa se roba a Adachi y terminan solos (😏) en un archivero/almacén (no sé bien que es), Kurosawa medio que le dice y que no a Adachi que está celoso de Tsuge y pues Adachi ya le explica que solo son amigos, que es su amigo desde la universidad y que pues obviamente no lo ve de esa forma, que incluso Tsuge de alguna forma le están pidiendo consejos amorosos 😅
Kurosawa se relaja visiblemente y por razones del destino Adachi considera que es apropiado soltarle la sopa a Kurosawa ahí mismo sobre sus poderes y le dice todo 🫢 De verdad, T-O-D-O 👀 Pero para sorpresa del universo Kurosawa se toma bastante bien el hecho de que Adachi puede leer mentes 😐
De verdad no sé cómo es que par Kurosawa es algo tan tranqui enterarse de que el chico con el que sales y del que llevan meses enamorado puede leer tu mente con solo tocarte un poquito... Yo estaría más preocupada, sobre todo si tuviera esos pensamientos tan subidos de tono como los que tiene Kurosawa con Adachi 😅
Pero bueno, de cierta forma Kurosawa termina agradeciendo el poder de Adachi porque fue gracias a el que Adachi descubrió su enamoramiento y terminaron como pareja 🥹💕 Pero esperen, que eso no es todo lo que pasa 🫢
Kurosawa toma a Adachi por el rostro yyy ¡SE BESAN! ¡CARAJO! ¡AL FIN SE BESAN! 😭🙌🥳💥 Y es de la forma más linda y a la vez hot que he visto en mi vida dentro de una oficina corporativa 😅 De verdad, es tan dulce la manera en que se dan su primer beso pero a la vez está implícito el deseo que sienten el uno por el otro, no, yo morí al ver la escena, el corazón me iba a mil, estaba partida en dos entre sonreír como idiota y sonrojarme completa 😳✨
Al final Kurosawa y Adachi tienen que salir del archivero/almacén 💔 Y seguir con su día laboral como si no se hubieran comido la boca entera hace recién unos minutos 😅 Ante todo la responsabilidad 😌
Pero bueno, el manga termina con el drama cociendose lentamente 🫢 Nos enteramos que a los jefes de Adachi y Kurosawa les gusta mucho la presentación del producto y uno de los superiores de Adachi le dice a su jefe que él diseño un sistema en la computadora para agilizar todo el proceso de la presentación, el directivo queda maravillado con ello y hasta menciona que últimamente Adachi se está esforzado mucho, hasta aquí todo bien 👍 La cosa de tuerce cuando ese directivo pregunta "Adachi está soltero, ¿verdad?" 👀 Y nos enteramos de que hay una vacante para un puesto importante en una sucursal fuera de Tokio, para la que justamente Adachi es el candidato perfecto...
Sí, es el principio del fin 🙃💥

I'm sorry I'm sorry but what is this office romance series doing playing with my heart to this extent. The cliffhanger! The depth of the platonic and romantic aspects of the relationships we're shown! Everyone is so nice and the literary sugar is going straight to my heart! I couldn't ask for anything more!

The delicate slowbuild — sooooo delicious. And the side romance plot!! I love absolutely everything about this. I finally went ahead and just bought the rest of the volumes, so hopefully stay tuned for more and more gushing as I read nine more volumes of this. I feel like I did when I read Sekaiichi Hatsukoi at 13-14…just pure gold, but this is even better.

These two continue to be absolutely adorable! I am a big fan. So excited to finally take a step forward in their relationship. 5 volumes to get some skinship in a mature manga is wild. And we haven't even gotten spicy yet! But Adachi's secret is out of the bag and a new threat is on the horizon. Can't wait. Already pre ordered for volume 6.
