K'diwa: A Steamy Novel of Interspecies Romance, by Jim Kirk

Jim wrote a romance novel, just to prove he could. Then someone leaked it on the public Starfleet server, and suddenly Jim’s embarrassingly smutty and sentimental Human/Vulcan love story is all over campus.

Luckily for Jim, no one knows that he’s the author.

Unluckily for Jim, someone forwarded the novel to the staff of the Vulcan embassy. Now, every Vulcan in San Francisco is reassessing the logical merits of taking Human bondmates.

I went in expecting a romantic comedy of errors — Kirk writes this horny novel about human-Vulcan romance and becomes inundated with Vulcan suitors, including Spock — but it was more of an extended riff on the hurt/comfort thing.

Kirk, it turns out, has survived childhood abuse, famine/genocide, and traumatic separation from both his biological and foster parents, as well as being abused by his telepathic boyfriend and roofied. In real time, everyone is obsessed with Kirk and his traumas, Spock most of all.

I am writing this incase someone who also felt similar about this would come across.

It has been years and I am still reading this, still searching for something that made me feel like when I read this and I come across good writing but this is something else. If you come across something that made you feel similar to reading this I would love to learn the name of it, it could be from another fandom or a book or a poem. It doesn't matter.

im not the type of person that marks fanfics as books here but this one was so good and i was so enraptured by it that i feel like it would be fair to classify this as a book. i would kill for spock and kirk in any universe but this one absolutely takes the cake.
