I've watched my sister struggle to find the happily-ever-after that she deserves. I know love doesn't happen overnight, but a man like Conrad Riggins almost makes me believe in forever.
The hottie Riggins brother has always been a shameless flirt, but the way his gaze slowly travels over my towel-clad body heats things up a few degrees.
I tell myself that we're just caught up in the moment. After the wedding, everything will go back to normal. He will be the carefree bachelor, and I'll be the woman who kept him warm for the most incredible night of my life.
Conrad
Thanks to my brother's impending nuptials, I'm sent to our family cabin to keep the bride's sister company while she does whatever is it that bridesmaids do.
Aspen Steele is a force to be reckoned with and even more beautiful than I realized. It takes being trapped in a snowstorm with her for me to realize she's my magic. And when our scheduled time comes to an end, I'm not ready to let go. She thinks we're just passing the time, but that's not how our story ends. Touch by Touch, I'll prove her wrong.

Gah these Riggins brothers are just so cute, in that sexy, manly, slightly alpha way. When I saw who Conrad was getting as his love interest, I did wonder how Kaylee was going to work it. These two have known each other for a year and there has been no spark. The other Riggins had that insta love magic. But it was so sweet and perfect I loved it.
This whole series is just one if those ones you know you’re going to read with a smile on your face. And even though it's not angst and drama filled you can't stop flipping the pages to see what is going to happen next. Plus having already fallen for the rest of the family it's great to get the next step of their life and love.
Aspen has been such a sweetheart from her first introduction. And I completely got her reluctance to dive straight into a relationship with Conrad. However, that man knew exactly what he wanted and he wasn't going to settle for anything less.
I'm so excited to see what Marshall's story is going to bring us. And to see the next step of the way for the current couples. And watch the Riggins babies grow in size and no doubt in numbers. But I am going to be sad to say goodbye to this beautiful family.
HOLY COW!!! I LOVE this series so much!!💜 It truly does get better and better!! Kaylee Ryan does not disappoint!! The entire Riggins family has stolen my ❤️!! This is now my favorite book in the series!! ALL THE MAGICAL⭐️’s!!
This is the fourth book in the series and is Conrad and Aspen's story. Conrad is your sweet, patient, vulnerable and determined fourth oldest brother. He has never believed in the "magic" his father and older brothers have talked about until he is snowed in to his family's cabin with Aspen. Aspen is your sassy, cautious and sweet woman who works at a bakery her sister owns. She is scared of trusting Conrad because she thinks he is a player and will break her heart. Conrad is determined to convince Aspen that he is done with being a bachelor and is ready to settle down. I loved how Conrad knew what he wanted and was willing to fight for her. Their chemistry, banter, and friendship was perfection. I am so happy they got their HEA.
I highly recommend this series!! Now I am hesitant to start with the last book in the series because I do not want it to end 😭!!
⭐️ 5 “Snowed In” Stars ⭐️ Awww! Touch By Touch was simply too beautiful! I admired the evolution of Aspen and Conrad’s relationship throughout the book. Everything felt so effortless between them. Kaylee Ryan signed with the fourth novel in the Riggins Brothers Series another compellingly romantic story providing all the sweetest feels! I couldn’t get enough of this lovely couple and all the Riggins family.
I was so glad when I learned that Aspen was Conrad’s love interest. I liked the girl so much in Kiss By Kiss with her cheerful attitude. She’s always ready to tease, have fun but also support her sister. She’s known Conrad for over a year, but it’s only when they’re snowed in at the Riggins's cabin in the mountains that they relate on a romantic level. Their chemistry is simply magnetic and ever single moment theyr share is adorable and heartfelt. They had my heart palpitating from their beauty!
Conrad has a long way to prove his intentions are pure though. As much as he exposes his new found feelings for Aspen, she’s scared of trusting the guy who not so long ago was a player. Conrad, being a true Riggins, is ready to prove her wrong and shows her that she’s his “magic”. The man had me weak in the knees for all his selflessness and devotion to his woman. Seriously, I need one of those Riggins brothers, lol!
I felt the romance was so well paced and delivered so much feels! As it was the case with the precedent books, the whole Riggins family bring amazing moments of humor, love and sweetness. They’re one of my favorite fictional family for sure! Kaylee Ryan once again made me fall so hard for one of her hero. Conrad was everything and so perfect for Aspen and her insecurities. It’s bittersweet to realize there’s only Marshall left to find love. I’m excited for his book, but don’t want to let go of this amazing group!
** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **
Conrad and Aspen’s story is just as sweet as sweet can be. I felt the magic in this one!
In My Own Words:
All Aspen wants is for her sister, Aurora’s, wedding to go off without a hitch. If there is ever a person that deserves the happiest of ever afters, it’s her sister. So she does what any good maid-of-honor would do. She decides to head up to the wedding location spot, the Riggins family cabin, and see to it that everything is done and set up the way Aurora wants it. There’s just one glitch in the plan and that’s the snow storm and the fact that she’s trapped in the cabin with her sister’s soon to be brother-in-law, Conrad Riggins.
Conrad lived his life with a high playboy status and until recently he never found the need to settle down. But now that he’s watched three of his brother’s succumb to the inevitable magic, he feels he may be missing out on so much more. The club scene isn’t as enticing as it used to be, he wants what the older four males in his family has. He now sees a life with the white picket fences and a wife barefoot and pregnant with his baby. There’s one small problem, he hasn’t found his magic yet… Until he walks into the cabin and sets his eyes on his brother’s soon to be sister-in-law, Aspen.
Conrad’s about to realize finding his magic was the easy part of the equation. He now has to prove to Aspen he isn’t the playboy he once was. He has to show her he’s serious about her and their future together. He’ll do whatever it takes to prove to Aspen his heart is hers for the taking.
My Thoughts:
Oh my heart!!! Every time I’m in the mood for a sweet romance, I know in my heart of hearts I can find everything I want plus so much more by picking up a novel written by Kaylee Ryan. The Riggins brothers are proving themselves to be fantastic book boyfriends. I’m loving everything about this series!
Speaking of series, these books can all be read as standalones. However, having started the series with the third book and going on from there, I’m finding this series might be best read in book order. I’m fighting the urge to push all my April advanced copies to the side to binge this series! I need ALL of their stories!!!!
But back on topic… Touch By Touch was a phenomenal read. I loved the strong family bonds. I loved how this set of characters are there for one another through everything. If one has a problem you don’t have to look too far to find the family rushing in and helping. My heart felt so much joy while reading these moments.
One of my favorite settings in romance is when the love interests are snowed in. Especially when there was no attraction to begin with. Given that I live in Michigan, we spend five months on occasion, dealing with snow. So this trope works for me and I’m finding I love it more and more with each read.
Aspen wants exactly what her sister has with Grant. She not only wants the passion, the fire, and the chemistry; she also wants the security and the fact of knowing she found her soul. She wants the happily ever after with her own hero. And one of the main aspects I loved about Conrad and Aspen’s story is simple. She could have fallen into his arms after the snowed in the cabin moment, but no…. This woman made this man prove himself to her. She made him prove that he shed his playboy ways and he’s serious about their future. I loved how Aspen didn’t give in to the magic at first sight. This woman is officially a rockstar in my book!!
Overall, Out of the two books I read in the Riggins Brothers series, Aspen and Conrad’s story is my favorite….so far. We’ll see if that still sits the more I read. Gotta love these brothers and their stubbornness when it comes to getting what they want! I need more!!
Wow, didn't expect to enjoy this book this much considering the fact it's not as safe as the others in this series!
Spoilers:
↪ H/h have known each other for a year due to their siblings getting together. They have never hung out alone (always in group) and never had an attraction to each other before.
↪ H was a prior manwhore but had been slowing that down and kinda over it months before the events of this book even start. He started seeing his brothers so happy settled down and wanted that as well. The most details we get is that him and his brothers would go out to clubs a lot and hooked up with random women. (He did say it wasn't a crazy laundry list or anything) I'm usually verryyyyyy sensitive to manwhores and absolutely hate reading about them but here it didn't bug me as usual cause we didn't get too many details.
↪ h never saw him with OW and had been on a couple dates herself here and there but did not sleep with any om since before her and her sister's move to Nashville.
So, while this isn't technically safe since both of them either date and/or sleep w/ others while knowing each other. (I'm assuming H did since it wasn't explicitly mentioned how long he was celibate and I don't imagine he was for a year) it was safe from the start of the book and once they are both attracted to each other there is no one else for both.
If those safety details don't bother you I highly suggest this book!! H was ALL IN and did so much to prove to heroine that he was over his past and wanted to settle down. He even sells his bachelor pad in downtown and buys a house to show the heroine how much he's not going back to that lifestyle!
I loved the beginning of the book when they were at the cabin. Them fighting the sexual attraction, getting to know each other, playing around like kids in the snow and building forts to watch movies under was EVERYTHING!!
Loved Conrad and the chase he gave. Heroine does try to push him away once they're back from the cabin due to her fears but he didn't let her. If you like to read about H's who give good chase this is your book!
When I learned Conrad’s love would be Aspen, I was over the moon! I loved the peeks of her we got in Kiss by Kiss, and Conrad seemed equally fun and charming. I couldn’t wait to see how Kaylee brought them together. And, as always, she delivered such a swoony, feel good love story that gave me all the happy butterflies.
Our couple already knows each other- their siblings are engaged, but their romance doesn’t mark until they both get stranded in a dreamy and romantic winter wonderland. Both came early to the scenic, remote cabin their siblings are using for their wedding location to help prepare the wedding. And, alone together for the first time, sparks finally fly. So delicious and so dreamy!
This is the only story (so far) in the Riggins storyline where the brother falls for a girl he already knows, and that definitely had a different dynamic to the story. While I did, at times, wished I’d had a greater window into some of the friendly foundation these two had, Kaylee does a really great job of helping us understand how they are just now seeing each other in this way- the unexpected isolation and cohabitation allows them a window into each other they haven’t had before. Kaylee so sweetly layers fun and sweet moments with the steamy to create a natural transition from friendly to something more- and these two dive into a KR characteristically sweet and charming connection as they discover their perfect match has been sitting undiscovered ever since their siblings met.
Aspen surprisingly puts up more resistance than our other ladies- perhaps even her sister. But, she also knows these men in and out from being an adopted part of their family thanks to her sister’s engagement to Grant. I loved getting to know her better- she has the playful spunk we saw in her sister’s book, but we also get to see more deeply inside her heart, learn more about her ambitions and some of her insecurities. Insecurities that make her a bit stubborn when it comes to leaning into Conrad’s romantic overtures after their snowy tryst. I did feel frustrated with her resistance, in part because I was so giddy to get to the “being together” part of this story- but it did make way for Conrad to bring out all the stops. SWOON.
I can’t choose between Riggins men, but Conrad is just as dreamy as the rest. He’s a bit more playful than the brothers that have come before, but he also has the same sincere and sweet streak that has made me fall head over heels with all of them. He takes BIG steps to prove his devotion and commitment to a hesitant Aspen, to prove he’s not the playboy she’s known him as. And like the brothers before, he just is so endearing- selfless, giving, patient, and freaking PERFECT. I don’t know where I can find a Riggins brother, but I need one- because each and every one is more adorable than the last. Conrad is a total dreamboat, and soon he wins over the reluctant Aspen, finally finding that special magic he’s so often teased his brothers about.
Hands down, this is my favorite series Kaylee has ever written. I am SO addicted to all of these couples, the “magic” they’ve pursued and found, and the sweet and swoony stories that have unfolded. I’m both desperate to finally give baby brother Marshall his HEA, but devastated because I know the end of this series is all too near. This series is complete and utter romance magic- sweet, swoony, heartfelt, and the perfect balance of heart and heat.
Holy swoon! Kaylee Ryan once again delivers us a sweep you off your feet romance with these Riggins boys! Touch By Touch is yet another dreamy romance. Kaylee knows exactly how to craft these sweet and special stories that makes your heart melt. The Riggins brothers are something special and this series has been such a feel-good series to lose myself in. Each book has been so sweet and easy to read. They have been the perfect angst free read that I've needed.
I loved Conrad and Aspen’s story and I loved their romance. Their journey was fun, steamy, sweet, slightly complicated, a little bit frustrating at times but oh so good and yummy and so very worth it. And whew boy, these two. All the blistering heat. All that undeniable chemistry. It was explosive and so addicting. I craved that push and pull they had and ate up all that fun back and forth banter.
It’s bittersweet that there is only Marshall left to find love. I’m so excited for his story, however it’s tinged with a little sadness because I’m not sure how I’m going to leave the Riggins family behind. By far the best series Kaylee Ryan has ever written. Charming, sweet, heartfelt and sincere...THIS is romance at its best.
So sad to say that I didn't like this one as much as I loved the other books. Conrad is #4 out of 5 brothers, he's next to last. He and his brother Marshall are diehard confirmed bachelor's who love the night life and party scene. Aspen watched her sister be in a verbally abusive relationship and then watched her fall in love and wants that for herself...
What I have an issue with with these stories where there are "boom" or "magic" that surrounds a family (that is how their family has found their significant other or just known when they meet their significant other) yet they don't "see" or don't believe so they still party and sleep around or date others because they aren't ready to believe or whatever is just annoying. Conrad knew Aspen for more than a year and never felt drawn to her or that she was meant for him. He still partied and even though it isn't confirmed it is implied that he slept with some of the women he met while he was out...this is after he met her. It isn't until his mom asks him to make sure she is OK at their family cabin and he walks in on her in only a towel that he feels attracted to her... ya know..when she's naked. Then again when she's naked does she fall into his arms and he wonders how he's never been attracted to her before or had these feelings for her 🤔🙄🙄 ok.... that's not magic... that's being naked. That's when he starts feeling things for her and wants to be around her constantly and still doesn't believe in magic but knows that she's special.
Then there is Aspen she watched her sister being verbally and emotionally abused and then she watched her fall in love. I loved that she wanted someone to love her like Grant loved Aurora and that she decided to wait for that. I also liked how she stood her ground against Conrad for so long... the second time 😉 around and made him work for it. I will say that once Conrad got with Aspen he was ALL IN. No cheating no other women no drama from other women. Just them two finding their way.
I didn't feel as much chemistry between these two that I did with the other couples and that might be because they had already known eachother for a while before they became attracted to one another and/or because they spent the majority of the book with her resisting so much and him trying to get her to come around. But it wasn't as special when they did as the others. There are a really sweet couple of scenes towards the end of the book when stuff gets real but it was a lot of pushing away on Aspens part and Conrad trying to figure out how to show her he doesn't want to party around anymore. 🤞cross your fingers for Marshall.

Kaylee Ryan is one of my absolute favorites and y'all she's back with the sexy Riggins Brothers and we've got Conrad and Aspen up this time. If you've followed this series then you know these two and this unexpected romance was everything in a whole lot of ways. These two lit up my kindle from the moment the landed and had me racing through the pages as fast as I could.
Those Riggins Brothers really came back with a vengeance this time and y'all this was such a sweet, swoony, light-hearted book that hit me all in my heels and left me with a big ol' smile on my face.
I'm so sad that this series is coming soon to a close (one more brother to goooo!) but gahhhh, the memories and the moments plus all the future re-reads ahead for me. Run don't walk to get this beauty.
I am just LOVING this series!!! Each one of these brothers are taking top spot in my heart with how good and sweet but also sexy they are when they find that one special woman. I’m gonna be sad to see this series end but I really wanna know how Marshall is gonna fall. Hard and fast??? Can’t wait to find out!! ~Jen
This was another excellent read by Kaylee Ryan and a great addition to the Riggins Brothers. I was happy to finally read Aspen's story. Her and Conrad had intense chemistry but it wasn't always easy for them. It was definitely worth it and I loved it! I'm excited to see what happens with the last Riggins brother. ~Andrea
I am just a complete sucker for these Riggin’s brothers. Every time I think I found my favorite, the next brother’s book comes out and I am in love all over again. If you have kept up with this series, then I you have met Aspen already. Conrad is one of the youngest two Riggins boys left to find his “magic”. When Aspen and Conrad get snowed in at the family cabin while preparing for the next Riggin’s wedding, they get to know each other better. One night of sexy fun, will it be with they both never knew they needed. All these brothers bring their own personality to their stories and Conrad is bound and determined to make it known to Aspen and anyone else who will listen exactly what he wants. For me, this was a quick read that just flowed off the pages and gave me exactly what I want and need for a great story! ~Helen
"Another Riggins brother bites the dust, Conrad and Aspen were wonderful together.
They have know one another for some time since their siblings are engaged to each other. Their fun back and forth banter with one another makes their coming together that much more fun to read. They get stuck in a snow storm at the family cabin, they are there to make sure that everything is set up for the marriage of their siblings.
Their book is sweet, sexy and heartfelt. Sparks fly and the instant love is kindled, their attraction is undeniable. I loved everything about their story!" ~Stephanie
Can’t get enough of the Riggins brothers! This book focuses on Conrad, the second to last Riggins brother, and his story falling in love with Aspen, Aurora’s sister. With the upcoming wedding for Aurora and Grant, Aspen volunteers to travel to the wedding location to prepare and set up, and Conrad is asked by his mother to meet her up there in order to help. Thankfully he goes because once they both arrive at the cabin a huge snowstorm hits, leaving them stranded there together. It’s during that time that these two finally start to act on the feelings they’ve had, Conrad more than Aspen. I feel like the whole time Aspen was really trying to fight her feelings because of what she’s seen in the past with other men, but it seems like Conrad fought really hard for his chance. After the wedding, she tries to get back to life as normal but neither of them can get the other out of their mind, and that’s when Conrad’s determination comes into play. This was definitely a tamer storyline for Kaylee, as the previous books have been more dramatic and suspenseful, but I enjoyed the book regardless. She can write anything, and I’ll read it because I really enjoy her style of writing and how she delivers a book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Layer by Layer (Riggins Brothers #1) Piece by Piece (The Riggins Brothers #2) Kiss by Kiss (Riggins Brothers #3)
This is Aspen and Conrad’s story. Aspen and Conrad are friends, but things change when they are stranded together in a storm. They are drawn to each other but no matter that they are both falling she is fighting it. After all Conrad is a player or so she thinks. After spending a few days together, they fall hard but when all the family shows up, she pulls away. Conrad knows he will have to make her see how much he loves her and wants her forever. Will she let down her walls and finally see the future they could have?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. But all and all it was a great story.
I just absolutely adore the Riggins!! Each one of them has a distinct personality to fall in love with! Touch by Touch was the fourth book in Kaylee’s Riggins Brothers series. They can be read as stand-alones, but i think it would be best to read them in order so you don’t miss anything!! Touch By Touch was heartwarming, witty, and full of steam!
Aspen knew not all relationships ended well, she watched her sister struggle before she found the one. So when Conrad and her had a moment, she figured that was all it would ever be.
Conrad was always a flirt but after being stuck in a snowstorm with Aspen, maybe he was ready for more. Now, all he had to do was convince her!
I was really hoping these two would end up together!! Their banter in the previous book was even better in this one! I think these two may have been my favorite couple! I can’t wait for the next one but at the same time am very sad it will be coming to an end.
With the wedding of their siblings only days away, Aspen and Conrad volunteer to head up to the wedding's location to make sure everything goes according to the plan. What they did not expect was to get caught in a snowstorm that stops everything in it's tracks. Left with time on their hands and nothing but snow outside the two feel and act on a spark of convenience, but when the wedding has come and gone will it still be just a romp in the snowstorm that connects them? Or has the magic that his other brothers have felt when they found their other halves hit Conrad as well? In true Kaylee Ryan fashion, the reader is not only given a story that hooks them in from the opening pages but characters and family connections that feel so honest and true. The Riggins Family is turning out to be another one of my top favorite series.
Touch by Touch is book 4 in the Riggins Brothers series by Kaylee Ryan. This is Conrad and Aspen's story. Conrad and Aspen are not strangers to each other as their sibings are together. These two have known each other for awhile and there is some serious chemistry between them yet the spark didn't fan into flames until they both were forced to spend time around each other. All I can say, intense! Conrad is ready to jump right on in but Aspen's still hesitant because she wary about being hurt. Get ready for Conrad and his family to show her how he is ready for her and that they are perfect for each other! It's a sweet, feelgood, funny read with a lighthearted romance tone. Loved the heat, sizzle, feels, romance, family dynamics, friends and small town feel. Great HEA!!
I was thinking Marshall would be the magic for Aspen, but it's SO perfect that it's Conrad!! I love this family series so much!
Aspen & Conrad have known each other for the same amount of time as Aurora & Grant, of course. They all met at the same time & Aspen has been brought into the fold of the Riggins family along with her sister. She & Conrad have been friendly, but they've never really spent any time together on their own. That all changes when they go up to the cabin early to prepare for Aurora & Grant's wedding - and get snowed in.
Their friendship, attraction, chemistry - it's all on point & wonderful to read about! And though Aspen isn't quite as confident as Con about their destiny, the way she makes him work for it isn't annoying or selfish, it's understandable & sweet.
100% LOVE the story & am looking forward to Marshall finding his magic.
- no. 4 with the Riggins brothers! Conrad and Aspen are snowed in! friends to lovers - i thought this would be my least fav but this one hits the spot - their banter and sexual tension is top tier - their snowball fight!!! - WHEN HE FINALLY KISSES HER - okay the magic is strong with these two - i love Conrad’s character development! this boy is all in - i understand where Aspen was coming from but it did get very frustrating - HOLY SHIT THAT CAME OUT OF NO WHERE - i was trying to guess what the conflict/lil twist would be but i never would of guessed that - i for once didn’t see that coming either! wtf i am off my game - the epilogue was so cute😭
I’m ready to dive into this series. Like literally dive into the books and love. The Riggins family is something special and Conrad and Aspen are no different. The amount of love I have for this family is just unreal. The men are perfect, the ladies are as down to earth and best friend material as any woman can be, and the parents? Well I mean they raised these kids. I love this family. I’m ready for the next story but also don’t want this series to be over. Not at all!! My only question is, how the heck do I find my own Riggins brother?!?
Touch By Touch had me captivated right from the start. Conrad and Aspen’s story is heartfelt, witty, emotional and romantic. The chemistry that ignites between these two is electric. As Conrad embraces the magic, Aspen fights it every step of the way trying to protect her heart. As the push and pull between Conrad and Aspen plays out these two will have you enchanted. Their story is not only fun and flirty but is highly emotional at times that will have your eyes misting over. A truly beautiful love story that will capture your heart.
So cute! Conrad and Aspen are adorable! My absolute favorite part is when Marshall first learns about them as a couple and talks to Conrad about it when Aspen falls asleep on his shoulder. I love reading about the bond the brothers have! Aspen and Aurora have a similar bond even though it is only the 2 of them. But they all understand each other and their love for their siblings and families. You won’t find a dysfunctional family dynamic in this book! The fourth Riggins brother is taken! All that’s left is Marshal. Who will be the lucky girl who tames him and claims the last Riggins brother!?
Sweet and simple plot. I loved the Riggins and the dynamics they gave to each other. Conrad didn’t and wasn’t ready for the magic until Aspen, Aurora’s younger, came into life. Cooped in the cabin by snow storm, they discovered the magic before the rest of the gang showed up for Aurora’s wedding. This was a fun read!
Audio-I loved Marshall and Wrens love story. This is such a good series. It’s magic. They are very wealthy, handsome playboys that their parents swore when they meet the one that they will know. You will feel the magic. They didn’t believe it and laughed it off until one by one the brother’s were felled by love. This is a feel good series that I really loved.
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Conrad has always been a favorite of mine, he's just perfect, he's more than the whole package. I've also loved Aspen from start. After her playing that song, I knew she was special. Conrad and Aspen are the perfect match. There friendship was so cute and now seeing them become more. I love these two so much. I couldn't think of a better ending. Now Marshall who will be his special someone. Quote - Say today what you might not get to tomorrow.
Predictable 2.5 stars. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend but I did finish the entire book.
It started off well, and I was hopeful. Granted I like the series, but to be 100% honest my favorite was Layer by Layer and while I read the other two (Piece by Piece, and Kiss by Kiss) I originally only read them to get glimpses of Sawyer and Royce- and a way Kaylee won since I paid to read them. Things that I liked- the characters.
some contain SPOILERS: Things I wish would improve: 1. first of all I'm the type of person that like a timeline. While Ryan tells months and in general ("we have known each other for a little over a year"), I wish she would nod the timelines and say their ages, or how long has passed since the previous books. (this one at least mentioned that takes places 5 months after Kiss by Kiss- I think).
2. It's so predictable. Ryan has created a formula for this series that makes me want to wish she would've either left it at 2-3 books, or put more effort. (MAJOR SPOILER) First part- they fight the attraction, then hero wants to be with heroine, heroine is unsure (PbP, KbK), they get together, something major happens that scares the hero (in LbL it was Sawyer leaving after the interference of Royce's ex, in KbK it was the interference of Aurora's ex, and in this book AND PbP it was an incident that makes the heroine end up in the hospital close to death and the hero freaking out- just to end up with the heroine finding out she's pregnant).
