This is the second part of It Figures.

I’m a give this four fucking stars!!!
I just know that whoever wrote this book has watched Tessa and Scott’s final skate of el tango de Roxanne (and of their careers) that won them the gold at the 2018 Pyeong Chang Olympics at 2:00am while sobbing in bed. And I just wanna say… same queen!
I saw the nod to the tight race with the French team 😏
I absolutely adored this book. More figure skating books please, I beg of thee (thee being the writers of the world). Such a slay reference to the last five years and atonement, I see you.
I was more invested in their figure skating performance than their romance lol!
Austin was a typical romance lead, but Ben do be out here slaying, I liked what king brought to the table. The miscommunication in this book was popping off though, but I minded less because they were super young and their parents were playing mind games.
Also idk if this is a fanfic reference but ima claim it to be because I live in delusion (it’s my home and happy place): the character’s name being Mia black by the end is so DoT coded.

You must read It figures before you read this book as you need the history before you understand the present. Amelia gets a blast from her past as she is now the choreographer for Austin and Grace. They finally have a chance to talk and clear the air. However, as she prepares to travel with Austin and Grace for their first performance of her choreographed dance, the reader can sense the excitement and hidden feelings. She is keeping things professional after Austin’s reveal but struggling with her own jealousy. Things get twisted in Japan. I was really surprised by the turn of events in the book. But I absolutely love how it ended.
This book isn’t as emotional as the first book. Yes, some truths come to light, but they aren’t as disappointing to the reader. Amy is brave, intelligent, and talented, and it really shines in the pages of this story. Austin is obviously a little lovesick, but he does manage to focus when it is crucial. This story was more about dreams and what someone might do to accomplish theirs. I was surprised by the turn of events and the progression the book took after. I really enjoyed this story. It was inspirational, definitely romantic, and even included a steamy scene or two. The characters really had a connection the reader could feel and imagine as the story continued. This was a fantastic romantic read.

I didn't love this one *quite* as much as the first book, but that's a pretty high bar because I really loved the first one. This book sees Amy and Austin moving on from the chaos of their past into the new and unexpected uncertainty of their future.
There's a lot of drama but things didn't flesh out quite as much for me as they did in the first book. I would have liked a bit more about exactly why they decided their relationship needed to be put on hold at one point, the excuses seemed a little weak compared to the strength of their feelings for each other.
But again, this is mostly nitpicking because I enjoyed the first book so much. And the ending of this one was spot-on, exactly as I wanted it to end. Together the two books make a very nice duet... or perhaps a dance. :)

A Wonderful and Challenging Romance
I loved part 1 and part 2 of this romance.
If you like romance it's a wonderful story about a couple that despite being tragically torn apart find their way back to each other.
I personally always enjoy getting to read romances from both perspectives but if you don't enjoy switching perspectives then it may not be your thing. I enjoyed both perspectives equally.
I don't want to give away any spoilers so I can't go into any specifics but I enjoyed that this story was different in a lot of ways than other romances that I have read. The drama and challenges did not play out like I expected every time so it was refreshing to have similar dramatic situations play out differently in the best way.
Obviously this is purely my opinion and based on the romances I like and also I do not take into account realism when it comes to romances since it is not ever going to be completely realistic. It will always be a mix of realistic and just plain ridiculous out there fantasy romantic ideals. This one just happens to be a good mix in my opinion. Hope lots of other people out there enjoy it just as much as I did!

Great set of books! You could really picture the characters, their emotions, and their emotions on the ice. Well done!

I enjoyed this book better than the first, but i still think that that it took too long for Amy to be back on the ice although i was happy that there seemed to be less miscommunication than in the first book.
It was cute to see them skate together again after so long and the way their relashionship evolved and i am glad that the mums are making an effort to redeem themself although i was happy they are not letting them back in their lives with open arms, but making sure to slowly work on it.
It was cute to finally see them achieve their dream of an olympic medal and to see that they are still involved in the sport, even after several years, teaching kids from disadvantaged backgrounds the sport.
Also liked to see that they built their family with their son too (although their son being named Axel took me out, please a bit much).
But yea, overall had a good time, although it could have definitely been just on slightly bigger book, imo.

This was a cute story but I found it lacked depth. It was cute, a little simple and obvious in its plot points but the characters were likeable and decently developed. A nice read for someone looking for a PG-romance, especially if you enjoy figure skating as the author did do their research on figure skating/ice dance well.
I really didn’t feel “book two” had enough to have been done as a separate book - it was rather short, read like an extended epilogue and I feel the books should have been kept together for ease of enjoyment given the short length and lack of conflict in the second book.

This sequel could’ve fit in the first book because it mainly ties up loose ends from the first. I would’ve enjoyed it more if Austin and Amy just waited more four years to try for an Olympic medal. You’re telling me Amy went from not skating at all to winning a gold medal in 3 months?? Especially since one of the reasons Austin continued to compete was because he wanted to start his foundation. Bro you’re only 22 I think you’ll be fine if you start your foundation at 26. I’m sure Amy can have her baby at 26 no problem

I have mixed feelings about this book...actually about both books In the series. The author did an amazing job capturing the essence of the sport. Nevertheless I felt it took far too long to get to the HEA. The drama of miscommunication started to get old and I found myself skimming over sections. In the end I enjoyed the premise of their love story but it really could have been one book.

4- honestly just felt like a novella. Liked it just fine but I wish they continued the story a little more. All it felt like was an extended epilogue / novella of them at the Games/Olympics. Don’t get me wrong it was super cute and I love Austin and Amelia but eh. Also I could’ve cared less for a redemption of Grace bc girl she did them dirty and Ben deserves better

Follow up to the first book it figures, as stated on that review could have been one book I think but alas. I thought the skating part was pretty good and fun, decent character development. I commend the author for not having a 70% in break up. Not enough smut for a girl like me but it was fine.

Bastante mejor que el primero en cuestión de ritmo y trama, pero sigo pensando que los protagonistas no tienen personalidades marcadas, y como gran error diré que toda la conclusión de la bilogía me parece tremendamente inverosímil y muy poco creíble.
Son libros bonitos para leer si te gusta el patinaje sobre hielo.

This was entertaining. It was definitely more interesting than the first one, more fast paced. But, it could've all been just one book, there was no need to split it into two.
It's a cute YA book and I think, for that audience, it would be a really good book.
If you really like figure skating, I'd say give this one a go, but it's pretty YA.

This Rating is for the first book, It Figures. No idea why it's not listing.
It's horrible what people who profess to love can do. Without meaning to they can destroy you. Which is what we see in this story.
Very interested to see where book 2 takes us.

I enjoyed the second installment of Austin and Amy/Mia’s story! My figure skater heart wishes I could see the programs in action, but I thought the author did a great job describing the feeling of being on the ice.

Call me a hater but i think it’s so dumb that this girl goes by Mia instead of Amy which was already a nickname to “create a new life for herself” when her name is literally amelia. idk maybe go by ur real name?????

I love Amy and Austin and their story but this book was paced a little fast. There was a time or two where I got lost and I had to figure out exactly what was happening and it pulled me out of the story. 7/10

I really liked the way this wrapped up the story line! I do kind of wish the author had just put both books together and made it one longer novel instead of 2 shorter ones. But I loved Austin and Mia and I liked how the story played out for them. Overall really cute and fun!

I genuinely feel like there didn't need to be two books for Austin and Amelia. There was still so much miscommunication, but it was a lot better than It Figures. Grace kind of ruined this for me, but it did set up nice for Amelia and Austin to skate together again. I also think that it wouldn't have been the end of the world for them to get more training together before going for the Olympics. That didn't feel super realistic to me, but then again, I'm not an athlete.
I'm glad that Austin and Amelia communicated better and stood up for themselves, but it all felt like an extended epilogue. Cute, but not a lot of depth.

Loved this but less than the first one. The ending was a bit too contrived and neatly wrapped up but for all that I loved it and it left me with the warm/fuzzies.

I read both books in a couple of hours, and I really feel like that could’ve been just one book. It also was just something about the books that I really couldn’t connect with.
