1925 - a curious George Taylor has left Britain behind to explore the gay capital of Europe: Berlin. But just as he’s starting to settle into his new home, an upcoming election threatens the liberated lifestyle for which he’d moved to Germany for.
The Nazi Party are gaining popularity across the country and their ruthless leader, Adolf Hitler, is determined to punish homosexuals across the nation and beyond. Is George’s life coming to an end just as it’s only truly begun? Nobody can imagine the horrors that await him and his friends.

...........absolutely hearbreaking. This is the best and saddest book I've ever read. I've read loads of books centred on Germany and the haulocost, but this is by far the best. I won't go into detail but just say it is a must read......a really beautiful story and one that made me cry.
Could not put it down.I don't Evan know how to explain it,what if it was me and my friends, horrifying.stand together against Nazis ,they are still out there .
Well researched and a story you will never forget .
I have read so many Holocaust survivors stories , they hold in their pages so much sadness yet so much hope. This book holds that too, I finished it in one sitting, I just could not put it down.
I have been trying to seek out WWII books with differing perspectives and I am so glad I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. The particular book is about homosexuals being sent to concentration camps and their experiences. If you are wanting to read a book centered on WWII that is about experiences of other prisoners and the atrocities they faced, look into this one.
A beautifully written book, with a heartbreaking and compelling story. The author has captured the misery, the humiliation, and the terrible abuse, suffered by those who were forced to wear the pink triangle in the concentration camps during WW2.
This is one of the best books I have ever read. A roller coaster of emotions, so well written I couldn’t put it down, I especially liked the notes at the back informing you of real life events, got through a lot of tissues. What these people went through is unimaginable, their stories of survival are heartbreaking, very emotional and inspirational. There are so many books written about what the Jews had to go through which was barbaric, but I hadn’t really thought about all the other people it effected. Would definitely recommend this book, it is a must read for everyone!!
