Equally as captivating as the debut title, Coming Home. This is a town, Highland Falls, already rich with likeable and lovable characters, but focusing on the main characters, so real they could walk off the pages, fills you with happiness and with hope. It is fascinating to watch these two protagonists become their best selves, working through life-changing surprises and conflicts with support from family and friends, but ultimately reaching their own decisions. Contemporary issues are addressed with complete honesty.

You will find yourself laughing out loud at certain situations and the verbal sparring, and then crying at the sheer tenderness of cherished moments. And make no mistake, this is a romance novel, so it sizzles with the perfect amount of heat. It is from love that all the best stories originate. And this, Finding Beauty, is one of those.

This is the second book in this series and the second book by this author. She is proving to be an author I want to read again and again.

This isn’t a dynamic story but it has truth and teeth that you can grab onto. It takes place in a small town and with that comes all the small town issues both good and bad.

Maggie wants to travel. Actually she wants to run away from her small town life which she both loves and hates through no fault of her own. She doesn’t realize her own value. The only two things that matter to her are the two people, Emma and Sully, who have always been there for her. Sully is her eternal flame. However, Maggie has plans that wouldn’t be derailed until…
Sully has had his eye and heart on Maggie for years but he has plans and it doesn’t include settling down soon until…

Sometimes life has a way of getting in our own way and changing our plans. The question is can you get beyond yourself and see what is important, are you willing to risk your heart, your plans, what you thought was important, and your security for love and personal gain?

This is that story. I don’t do spoilers. It’s not fair to the author. You need to read to enjoy the book for yourself.

Sometimes the best things in life come in small packages. This isn’t a dynamic story but it packs a punch and definitely hits the mark and weaves it’s way into your heart. I can’t wait to see where this author takes us next!

Maggie and Sully are a wonderful friends to lovers with a surprise pregnancy trope storyline! This is the second in the Highland Falls series by new author Kat Ryan. As the second in the series, I found this story to be wonderful and lovely. These characters have known each other for many years, with Maggie being the best friend of Sully’s sister. Both of the characters have been connected with each other for years, but each one have developed feelings as the years passed. The interesting thing about these two characters is that they intrinsically know how the other will respond to situations, but simply fear being turned down when considering pushing the relations past the friend zone.

Sully is wonderful - caring and considerate - even when Maggie throws up road blocks. Maggie doesn’t see how much value she adds to situations but finally sees it when a former student shows up one day. When they both realize that the thing they fear is losing the other - then things get really interesting.

What I truly appreciated with this book is the depth that the author took with each character. Much better build up and introspection of their needs, wants and desires. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one from this author.

Finding Beauty is the second book in the Highland Falls series by Kat Ryan and was equally as amazing as this first book!

Best friends brother is one of my absolute favourites and I was instantly hooked!

Maggie and Sully have know each other for years. The first time Maggie saw Sully she was just 8 but she knew then no one else would match up to him in her eyes. It took Sully a little longer to notice Maggie as more than a friend! After one life changing night though Sully never wants to let her go but Maggie has a plan, she isn't planning on staying in Highland Falls but maybe the things that you don't plan out end up being the best plan!

I absolutely loved Maggie Sully! Their chemistry was so amazing! Their banter was so funny and watching them navigate life changing moments together had my laughing and crying!

I loved catching up with old friends and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.

If you read book one of the Highland Falls series, Coming Home, you will remember a little tension between Cole (Sully) and Maggie. This is their story. They have been friends since childhood, and Maggie has been Sully's sister's best friend that entire time.

Maggie has always dreamed of leaving Highland Falls and exploring the country and then permanently moving away. Sully is just the opposite. He has a thriving business, a farm, and all his family are nearby.

It's difficult going into a lot of details on this book without spoiling the story, so I won't. I do want to say that I did enjoy this book just as much as Coming Home and really look forward to the rest of this series. Kat Ryan is an excellent writer and can tell a story so well that you feel like you are part of his community and know these characters.

Maggie and Sully might be destined to be together, especially after the one night they shared, but will they realize it in time. Sometimes love is what holds us together even when the world is not how we think it should be. Great characters and also a great way to introduce and bring to light some real life issues that people go through.
