Trapped and hunted, their only way out is together.
All Xander wanted was a few moments of peace after a lifetime of pain, but fate had other plans. Hunted like a wild animal by beta forces, he hijacks the first means of escape that crosses his path.
After a tough couple of years, Lilibeth is finally getting a fresh start. After landing her dream job, she’s off to begin her new life on the other side of the country…until a desperate alpha crashes into her newfound freedom and takes her hostage.
Fate threw the pair of opposites together, but the primal pull that draws them close feels a lot like destiny.
Once there were boundaries…but now that their chains are broken, these alphas refused to be contained.
Xander is the fourth book in The Unchained Omegaverse, a hot new ABO romance series featuring knotting, heats, and possession. Wear gloves, cause this sh*t is hot.
Ever since she was little, Callie Rhodes' imagination has been landing her in trouble. From daydreaming about far off worlds in class, to escaping into the made up stories of her mind in the meeting room, she's been creating tales to take her away from the real world for as long as she can remember. Now she lives among the tall trees of Northern California, and has found a way to make a living off her fantasies.
This is starting to be wash rinse repeat for every book. Also missing the part of the omegaverse everyone wants hot sizzling sex and not at 70% of the book. Sorry but you know why you read this.
Starting to tire of it but will try the next because Wyatt seems pretty interesting.
This was okay - right there in the middle. Lili was a little hard to warm up to at first. I liked Xander; he seems like the most down to earth alpha in the series.
I liked the dynamic of Xander and Lili. Lili did get annoying at times because she judgmental of Xander. But overall, I liked this story and thought it was paced well. I loved the introduction of Wyatt and look forward to his story next.
Wow this series just keeps getting better and better. If you are reading my review this series is a spin-off from another series The Boundarylands Omegaverse. That was a great series as well. But this one just makes me think and appreciate life. Alphas being locked up for years. Tortured, experimented on, mistreated all because they were different. It was sad that Lili life was smeared because of the lies but she finally found her purpose in life. Great read. Can’t wait to read Wyatt’s story.
The characters didn't mesh all that well for me. Xander was completely self centered and never gave a single thought to Lili and all the things she was giving up until someone else pointed it out.
I've read every one of Callie's books at this point and all of them pretty much have the some problem. They're basically just fluff pieces. Which is totally fine if that's all you want. The men are all self centered and the sex scenes are pretty much all the same. The women have to give up everything and the men's lives go on the same. One of my major beefs with her work is that the Alphas know how to do everything, like build furniture and tan hides and make bread for crying out loud, and they never make any wilderness or survival mistakes. They just know everything with no explanation. That's all well and good but all her characters are young, some very young, with no outdoor experience at all. As someone who lives in the mountains and has been learning all that stuff her whole life I feel like it's very unrealistic. Even a throw in like how to books on their shelves or maybe stuff that they accidentally did wrong would fix that. Maybe that's a weird hill to die on but that's my major beef with her stories. That and the completely illogical world building as far as the government goes and the boundary lands.

Xander de Callie Rhodes Serie The unchained omegaverse libro 4
Argumento:
I found this one so boring. Xander didn’t have anything Alpha about him, he just seemed sorta stunned and appeared to have very little going on upstairs, he didn’t seem dumb, just dull. Lili was similarly boring, and unremarkable. The story was flat and boring and had no substance or intrigue. I am a super forgiving reader and can really get through anything for some good smut, I mean these are omegaverse books, what else would I be here for. So the smut when it did happen, was pretty boring 🥱 and not detailed and kinda vague. Did Xander have any superhuman alpha powers like the rest of them have? Nope, he could hear stuff, and smell her….like honestly this was offensively boring. It feels like maybe she had a deadline and had to get it out and just stayed up super late and got this out. I enjoy omegaverse, even badly written stuff, all I ask for is some good smut, some ABO trope stuff, and a interesting story, plot holes I can deal with them as long as you give what I came from. This was close to a “fade to black” or a “behind closed doors” type book. Rude! I will try the next but I’m dnf’ing if it’s the same as this.
🔥 “I'm going to take you, Lilibeth. All of you.” ~~~ I loved Lili so much! She’s one fiery and independent woman. I loved that she never gives up, no matter what life throws her way. And despite everything she’s been through, she remains so kind and caring. She’s amazing.
And Xander is the perfect match for her! He’s bossy, brooding, arrogant and fiercely protective. I loved how he was able to see beyond Lilibeth’s facade and discover the wonderful woman she truly is. I loved him!
I loved the development of their relationship. In the beginning, there was a lot of distrust between them. But I loved the way they got to know and accept each other. Their chemistry was amazing and the passion they shared was off-the-charts hot!
Overall, the story is another wonderful addition to the series. It’s filled with suspense, danger, fast-paced action, steamy romance and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it!
I simply love reading this series. It's it's on universe even here in the United States. The romances are hot and steamy yet each 1 of them has A lot of growth then human understanding. This is my favorite passage from this book "It was as if Lili had burned everything she thought she knew about life, and from the ashes, tiny green shoots were starting to push up toward the sun. And this time, she would tend her hopes and dreams with willingness and curiosity and faith, rather than the weight of expectations and the fear of failure."
This story kind of feels like Stockholm syndrome but it doesn't project it. Their relationship is not toxic in that way because this is the omegaverse and because he gives her free will to choose And... It's a slippery slope with this one but I really liked Xander's personality.
I loved the the bounderyland series and the beginning of the unchained series was good, but they are starting to become redundant and less steamy. I like how Lili befriended another Alpha which was cool , but I feel like the whole story moves fast and was a tad bland. I was waiting for more bios up and and excitement. Romance was mediocre in comparison to the other stories. I hope Wyatt’s story is better.
Xander accepted who and what he was long before he became an alpha. The experiments made his see things in the now, and not long for a better future. Lili, on the other hand, saw her worth wrapped in the future of getting her mother and grandmother to a better life.
Meeting by clear happenstance changed both their thinking and came up with a much better plan...together!!!
Killing is kidnapped by Xander and forced to drive him to the Ozarks. Her choices were him or being shot by soldiers, so she went with Xander. She spends a lot of time worrying over a job she's not even sure she wants. I liked her, but I wanted to throttle her too. I would habe liked to see her set up accounts to make the Alphas money or something like that.
Another great read from Callie. Lili did annoy the hell out of me for the first half of the book but then she finally came to her senses. I understand why she was the way she was but I just wanted her to hurry up and jump Xander's bones. Xander somehow had all the patience of a saint even if Lili did give him hell at first. A great story by then end.
Another great addition to the Unchained Omegaverse world! With so many books you'd think they would get boring or repetitive, but that isn't the case! Hot and great, I highly recommend.
This series continues to be a great story about a group of men being persecuted for being different and the women they come to Love 😉. It's well worth the time to read 😃. Thanks again Callie, I truly Love your stories and can't wait to read more 🤓.
- krátké - alfa, beta - únos, útěk - speciální útočiště alf - změna bety na omegu -hl. hrdinka utíká z rodného města a chudoby na druhou stranu států do výhodné práce - hl. hrdina utekl z centra, kde byl držen, analyzován a mučen vědci - osudový partner
These books are addicting. I enjoyed every one in the original series & I'm really enjoying this new series about the once imprisoned but now free Alphas!
I really didn’t like the male lead and very much felt like he ruined the female leads life. I’ve loved all the other books but this one did not hit right for me.

This book was pretty good. But I didn’t really like either character much, some things just rubbed me the wrong way. So that made it harder to enjoy their story.
