Well... Pogba certainly seems like a great, and passionate, soccer player. The book certainly got that across. But it didn't do much to show what sort of person he is.

The Rashford Rules book in the same series, for example, really emphasised all the positive values and actions Marcus Rashford has promoted over his career. He seems like a really wonderful person.

Pogba, though, not so much. It sort of implies he might be a bit full of himself (quitting Man U for Juventus because he didn't want to be patient and follow Sir Alex's lead) and that's about it. But it also doesn't say it outright. It has some Little People Big Dreams vibes with skipping over the negatives.

That said, book does its job. Continuing to get me really excited about European football.

I am lucky to have two boys who really enjoy reading – often boys lose interest much more quickly than girls. This type of book is great for reluctant readers!
Riley loved it, it did not take him long to read and the ‘Horrible Histories’ style of the book was enjoyed by him and made it very engaging. If you are trying to encourage a little football fan to read more, I would highly recommend this series – fun, factual and not too long so they lose interest!
