Amir has the whole hood behind him. He's a beacon of hope for young men who feel they've been discarded by society. North Carolina is breeding him to be their star, but he has other plans in mind. Amir wants to be like his daddy, a hustler with principles who keeps his enemies close and treats his friends like family. Death Before Dishonor is his motto.
When his childhood friend ends up in prison with a nine-year bid, Amir is true to the game and holds him down. He adheres to the code of the streets, but will that be enough to keep his crew together? Will Amir be able to forgive one of his childhood friends for being unfaithful to the game that made him the man he is today? Sometimes, a big booty and a smile can bring a soldier to his knees, but there are consequences for violating the code of the streets. Once a vow is taken, there's no turning back.
Good book from beginning to end. Amir didn't get to fulfill his football dreams so he hit the streets and became the top drug dealer in the Raleigh area. He put his friends on and took care of his family. Read the book to find out the ups and downs he goes through and the shocking ending.
Lemme tell you. When I initially finished this book, I was PISSED at how it ended cause I’m like well damn! All this shit he went thru just to DIE and leave his fam and all his kids. I had stopped reading after the last chapter and the next day , I was like let me just read the epilogue... READ THE EPILOGUE if you finish and don’t usually read it lol it’s literally the rest of the book. Like the official last chapter. Once I read it, I lovedddd this book lol I was sad to see him die but for him to come back when it was time to kill ole dude, I was pleased 😂

Amir was an interesting character. Thought he was headed to the NFL but became a hustler instead. One brief encounter with a Colombian Drug lord change his life and members of his team's forever. He took care of others and demands no disrespect. He treated all of his woman good and his mother and cousin were his trusted family. A friend is held down when he was sent to prison and when he was released, he disrespect ed Amir, Deema and Joy had no honor for him and what happened to them was payback but the ending is priceless. A good book to read.
Great storyline. I really wanted Amir to get on the straight and narrow but he just couldn't get right. Or let me say, he just didn't want to do right. I knew that his best friend was going to be the one to betray him and I'm not talking about Trick. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

I am so glad Amir survived! Because I was gonna be 1 angry woman 😊 I can't believe Jarius and Deemi! And to think I was rooting for her and Amir!Amir was bogus for all the cheating he was doing on Deemi though! All in all it was a great read!!
It held my attention better than the previous book that was in Memphis. I CONTEND THAT MS. HERNANDEZ NEED TO LEND HER TALENTS TO THE FAMILY BUSINESS SERIES AGAIN!
