This is the best book I’ve ever read on anxiety and depression. As a follower of Christ, I respect this author’s application of God’s word, combined with her medical knowledge and day to day practice as a therapist. A few of my favorite entries include Day 21 on gratitude, Day 28 on feeling anxious and hopeful at the same time, and Day 36 about choking fear by replacing it with the truth. If you know someone who needs a practical way to integrate their faith with their own mental health struggles, this would make a great gift (along with some chocolate or their favorite snack). :)

i appreciated how short the sections were but found myself struggling with a lot of the journal portions- it would ask what you can do differently or what steps you can take to do something and i would be like "idk that's why im reading this book????". i also wasn't the biggest fan that the scripture quoted was in either the passion translation or the message and not a more accurate version/source. but had some great wisdom!

A great devotional plan from someone who is educated in both the bible and clinical tools for anxiety. Every devotional challenged and encouraged me through 40 days. I appreciate how the writings were clear in their message and short enough to understand if you are struggling with any mental health issues.

I have battled anxiety since my teens and I have read several Christian books about it, but never has one helped me and touched me like this one! By combining the author’s clinical knowledge and God’s Word, she provided me with hope and tools for the future!
