Delta Force Heroes #10

Un héros pour Annie

Rate this book

I will not give away anything about this Book but i do want to say Susan did it again she truly gave credit to an extraordinary Character when she wrote this story about the well loved Annie we met so very long ago. She has become the woman we all knew she could and i think i have never felt as proud of a fictional character as i did reading about that little girl that gave sunshine to an amazing family and now shines so bright as a strong loving woman that it nearly hurts to turn the last page on a ride through her life. And the true love of her life was a rock more so then i had hopped for he is just the right guy to stand by her side, stand behind her when she shines and lift her up when she stumbles. I loved every minute of this book and will be happy to revisit it many times over.

I do hope you all enjoy it as much as i did, enjoy.

I honestly dont know what to say. Annie is grown. Annie. "Sprite" knew she was born to save the world. Her father Fletch and her honorary Uncles groomed her. But at 7 she met her destiny.

Annie Fletcher is so genuine. She is the epitome of a protector of our country. Her Father and honory Uncles believed

At 7, Annie kow she would protect our country, because she wanted to follow Fletches footsteps. Now she had to decided. Frankie would never leave her, "
Annie and Frankie are the epitome of love at first sigh. She knew Frankie was deaf. Annie to her Auntie Mary for help to sign.

Reading this book snacks me smile.the nostalgia. Susan Stoker did so good. It was amazing. Susan, thank you give us Annie's story. Wow.

cinque stelle assolute

Love Annie & Frankie

So excited to finally get to read Annie & Frankie’s story and it didn’t disappoint! Susan Stoker did a masterful job of writing this book. They’ve known they were going to be together and marry since they were seven years old, even though they didn’t even live in the same city, and 20 years later Frankie is working with veterans who are now hearing impaired and Annie is a Green Beret and they are engaged. I don’t want to say more and giving anything away, except to say it’s a fabulous story that I couldn’t put down until I got to the end, which is awesome, and we also get to see some old friends! Definite must read.

Annie & Frankie

Rescuing Annie was everything I could have wanted to read. Annie has been such a special person and this book celebrated all the things that made her such an unforgettable character. Frankie’s love for Annie was so strong, caring and selfless. Frankie proved he was not going to let anything or anyone hurt the woman he loved. The icing on the cake was the ending. Susan Stoker has once again given us a finale in a series that captures our hearts and imaginations.

Annie is all grown up. The first chapter was a challenge. Like the characters in the book, I still think of Annie as being seven years old, but she is a strong, independent warrior now.

Due to the challenges within the Army and a mission almost gone horribly wrong, Annie has to decide what she wants to do with her life. Quietly supporting her, like he always has, is her beloved fiancé, Frankie. While on vacation, the answers become clear.

A highlight of this book was checking in the characters from Susan's Delta Force books. It is always so nice to see where everyone is in their lives.

Super Frankie

It’s always said that a great woman is behind a successful man well a great man is behind this successful woman. Frankie rocks this book as Annie’s anchor.
Annie has been such a staple in this whole series. So glad she got her happy ever after with Frankie and that he is such a rock for her. Goes to show you strong women still need strong men to support them. Thanks Susan for showing us girls can do anything!

I’ve been in love with Annie since she was first introduced in Rescuing Emily and loved her interactions with all of the other team members throughout their books. Her first meeting with Frankie in The Gift and how she never saw his disability made me love her even more. This was a perfect ending/beginning to Annie and Frankie’s love story.

Disappointed

I waited so long for this book and for Annie and Frankie's story, but sadly for me it just fell flat. Lots of recapping and repeating and zero suspense. I like Susan Stoker's books but this one was just a bit disappointing. It felt more like a epilogue to the series and not really its own book.

I'm so glad that we got this book! Since Annie showed up on the page, she has been a favorite of mine. Seeing her grow up in the series has been great! I loved how Frankie was by her side through it all, that despite what the adults thought or said, they stuck together.

The opening to this book was harrowing! I hated how the mission Annie was on went south, hated how she almost didn't make it home. I was intrigued that it also made her question if she was on the right path. The army was something she has wanted since forever and that was part of the struggle. I was so happy when Annie finally talked over what was in her head with Frankie. He let her get it all out and gave her the best feedback, always supporting her no matter what, even if he definitely had a feeling one way.

The trip home to see Fletch and Emily was great too. I loved how once again Frankie was there supporting Annie by priming Fletch for his talk with Annie. Not that I had any doubt Fletch would do anything other than support her, but there was the possibility to wound Annie with words.

The boat vacation was so funny because it was classic for this group. I was just waiting for something to happen, so when it did, it was a bit of relief. I knew that Annie and Fletcher would be able to take care of business. I loved how they used their knowledge and ability to sign to help them through things and how they just knew, help would be coming.

The wedding was perfect, very personal in one way and very public in another, both fit. I loved Tex's gift, the guy never misses.

I also enjoyed the look 10 years into the future and just knew that if Annie had a child they would be like this, perplexing her to know end, even as she loved the hell out of her child.

Fans of Susan Stoker fell in love with Annie from the moment we met her in Rescuing Emily. As a child, she was precocious & curious, always asking intelligent questions & surprising everyone with her insightfulness & open heart. Through the series - and other series! - she popped in to provide healing. Her personality felled even the most scarred among them!

When she met Frankie, he became a part of the series, as well. EVERYONE was rooting for them. It's not easy when you meet the love of your life at age 7 AND they live across the country! They both knew, however, from the moment they met - they were it for each other. The way this author placed them & gave updates of them throughout the years has been a boon, again, to all of use who love them.

And in Rescuing Annie, the author has given us Annie & Frankie's HEA - with adventure along the way, of course! From the opening scene to the last page, I didn't want to put this story down. I love seeing Annie & Frankie all grown up, and I also love the way the author respects the fact that we, the audience, WATCHED them grown up, and is sensitive to the fact that some readers may not want to see the same level of steam she's known for with this particular couple. To many, Annie & Frankie are sort of like their own children, and while we all LOVE the steam in a Stoker story, I personally like this call for this particular story.

So! Dive in to Annie & Frankie's story - you'll get all the emotions & love & family & friends & adventure & intimacy! I LOVED this story lots!

Rescuing Annie

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steam: 🔥🔥
POV: Dual 3rd Person
Stand alone? No, this series is best read in order.

Just to be clear, 😭😭😭 I’m not crying, you’re crying!… Five years in the making…. And worth every bit of the wait.

Annie all grown up is exactly who I pictured her to be. She is still outspoken. Still a fighter. Still an advocate for the underdog and just as compassionate as she was as a child.

Stoker fans have watched Annie for years. We have read of all her antics and fallen completely in love. We begged for this book and Susan Stoker delivered in a big amazing way!

Her and Frankie truly are meant to be and I was so happy with their HEA. I am not disappointed with the wait for this book because it was everything I hoped it would be.

P.S. I am so glad the love scenes were fade to black. I don’t think I could handle detailed love scenes involving little Annie. Part of me is like fletch and Emily still seeing her as a child. Happy Reading my Friends!

Annie and Frankie - perfect way to end the series!!

Oh!!! I LOVE this book!
Susan has such a way with words and with emotions. I love that we see familiar faces and also see how Annie and Frankie are as adults! Love the friendship turned to love instantly that continued their entire lives. Love that this book shows that you can have an incredibly amazing complete romance and love story without every page being sex.
Thank you Susan for continuing to show love through your books! I pray for your mental and emotional health, that you always find joy in writing! Thank you to your family who supports you! Without them and you, we wouldn’t have the quality of stories that we do. We wouldn’t have your stories and the world stories that we do.

'I'm proud of you'

Ah! The end of an era and I had a tear in my eye before I even began!
We have watched Annie and Frankie grow up, they were seven when we first met them, they stole our hearts then and have only endeared themselves more as the series progressed.
Annie is amazing, we always knew she would be, and nobody is surprised she leads her own Green Beret Team, but Frankie will always be my hero. He is quiet and unassuming, but is always watching, protecting, caring and loving Annie, no matter what.
A truly awesome finish to the Delta Force series and whilst I am sad to see it end Ms Stoker has so many amazing new series for us to look forward to that this series will be missed, but not forgotten and will be reread many times over.

Rescuing Annie

Wow!!! Annie and Frankie all grown up and finally together. Annie became exactly what she thought she would be from the time she was a little girl. Her last mission was nearly really her last and she has a rough decision to make. As the story rolls out we learn how they both make the perfect team and how their lives come together. We get to catch up on the lives of many of the men and women we've met before. This is the perfect wrap up of Annie from a seven year old tomboy to mommy and wife. You can't help but read one more chapter all the while wishing the book wouldn't end!

We have watched Annie grow through the other stories. Susan Stoker did an incredible job bring us Annie as an adult. What a woman she became. Her struggle of was she in the right profession after working to get where she was is a struggle for many young adults. The love story between her and Frankie was beautifully written. The scenes between fletch and Annie….tissues were needed. And getting to visit with all the team was a great treat. An absolutely wonderful story.

We met Annie as a little girl. We met Frankie as a little boy. The little girl became a woman who determinedly pursue her dreams and got results. The boy grew into a man who was quiet and strong. But what happens when you reach the top of your dream mountain and the view wasn’t what you expected to see? Susan Stoker is a consummate story teller and this is one of her best. You could read this as a stand alone but I would strongly suggest reading the stories that come before.

💗💗💗At last

Yay!!! Since the moment I met little Annie many, many books ago at the start of this glorious series....watching her slowly grow up here and there while popping up in other team members books, I couldn't wait for her to get her own book. The time has come, and she has finally got her very own 😁💗. It was all I could hope for and more! There was romance (of course), humor, family, friends, memory lane, a few friendly cameos, action, suspense, and at the heart of it all one spitfire with a heart of gold that is at a crossroads. This story was perfectly woven with heart, humor, action and love. I have yet to be disappointed by anything this author has done, but I must admit that Annie and her family have a special place in my heart as characters within this wonderful world. Kudos!! Here's hoping we see her sparkly combat boots pop up again in another book soon 😉💗.

I loved, loved, loved Rescuing Annie. First and foremost because Annie Fletcher finally gets her long awaited story but secondly because all of my favorite Delta Force Heroes series and Delta Team Two series characters made appearances. It was like being at a Susan Stoker family reunion. A definitely nostalgic trip down memory lane. I freely admit that I got teary eyed on several occasions while reading. I absolutely see a series binge re-read in my future.

Frankie Sanders and Annie have a love that's written in the stars. She's been his best friend, cheerleader and protector since they were seven. He's loved her, been her champion and her soft place to fall for just as long. A dangerous encounter on their vacation solidifies the decision that Annie has been contemplating. A wedding and an HEA plus a glimpse into their future is icing on a perfectly fabulous book!

Annie & Frankie

If you are a Stoker fan and have read some her previous books you would know all about Annie and Frankie, and like myself would have been truly looking forward to there story.

And....

Without giving anything away Rescuing Annie was everything I was hoping for and more. The love and support these two share is beyond beautiful and heart stealing.

Annie is now the strong special forces soldier she set out to be. However, sometimes even a badass soldier needs a helping hand, and when that helping hand comes in the form of the sweet, swoony and fiercely protective Frankie I'm all for it.
What a journey for these two. It has sweet, swoony, a little angsty and like any Stoker story had some action.
Then finally the ending.... was perfection!
Another amazing Susan Stoker Read!

Honestly, I was kind of disappointed in this. There was a lot of repeating sentiments (Can someone remind me if Annie likes dresses/girly things? And would Frankie follow her all over the world and wait forever to marry her? It didn't come up enough for me to get a bead on how these two feel) and it just felt like if you removed half those comments/thoughts/conversations, the book would have been shorter. Or we could have had more of a plot. Don't get me wrong, the action on that beach was fine, but it felt like we spent more of the book with Annie worrying that she was going to implode her family by wanting to get out of the Army and Frankie assuring her that whatever she wanted to do, he'd support her and he didn't mind waiting forever to marry her. While this wasn't as bad as Rescuing Harley , it again felt like the author spent so much time trying to develop Annie and Frankie's relationship and then suddenly forgot to include some kind of danger so randomly threw something in there. Granted, at least this sort of made sense, rather than the one in Rescuing Harley. But anyway, yeah, overall, I feel like we could have spent more time with Annie struggling with her decision and the whole them finally deciding to get married portion of things and been just fine.

In the previous books, Annie was precocious and curious and hellbent on doing things her own way. Which is fine, but it also felt like the Annie of 27 was basically the Annie of 7, just taller. There was too much reminding of the fact that Annie preferred getting dirty to wearing dresses. It came up all. The. Time. Every time she'd start to wonder/question things, something about how she wasn't all that "girly" would come up and Frankie or Fletch or whoever would have to say that it was fine. I guess I just wished there'd been a little more development in who Annie was. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a tomboy, but if that's your entire personality, I feel like there needs to be more.

Frankie was actually phenomenal and I did love how willing he was to be the house husband and didn't give a f*ck what others thought. I did get a little annoyed that there was so much repetition of his whole "I love her for who she is and I'll wait forever if I have to". Once or twice is fine, or even when someone new tries to talk him out of marrying her, but similar to Annie's dresses comments, he had those thoughts all the time.

I did get a little confused because there were so many names thrown around. Between all the Delta Force characters and their kids, and apparently members of other teams/series and all their kids, there were a lot of names thrown around and I honestly had trouble keeping track of who went with who. Also, if we had to be reminded one more time of the fact that none of these people were Annie's biological family but she loved them like they were, I was going to slap something. I get trying to make things so that readers don't necessarily have to read the rest of the series, but we didn't need to hear it every time she saw one of them.
