A compilation of four Happy Ever After novellas, from the popular, bestselling series, Ice Planet Barbarians.
Book 1.5 Ice Planet Honeymoon: Vektal & Georgie
What happens after happily ever after? Quite a bit, actually. Georgie and Vektal are mated, but Georgie has a few things on her mind before she settles into her new life...why not have a honeymoon?
Book 2.5 Ice Planet Honeymoon: Raahosh & Liz
Newly-mated (and grudge-holding) Liz wants nothing more than to be away from the tribe that’s exiled her man. Raahosh wants to prove to Liz that he can be a good mate, even if he’s ugly. On a honeymoon, they can get to know each other better. Perfect, right?
Book 3.5 Ice Planet Honeymoon: Aehako & Kira
Kira and Aehako are happily mated and waiting for their baby’s arrival. Everything is great...or is it? Because carefree Aehako has turned into the most hovering of spouses, and he’s making everyone at the cave crazy. Kira thinks it’s time for a vacation...of sorts.
Book 4.5 Ice Planet Honeymoon: Rukh & Harlow
Rukh and Harlow are starting over at the beach, away from everyone else. Newly mated, they’re just now realizing what a monumental task it is to create a home when you’ve got nothing but the leathers on your back. It’s even worse when you can’t talk to your mate. Will misunderstandings ruin everything? ---
Note: These stories are extended epilogues for readers who want a little more of their favorite couples. But hey! Don’t start here . . . To get the most reading pleasure, start at the beginning of the series with book #1, "Ice Planet Barbarians". ---

Ruby Dixon is an author of Science Fiction Romance. She likes fated mates, baby-filled epilogues, and cinnamon roll heroes. She also likes to write biographies of herself in the third person, because it feels more important that way.
Ruby also loves coffee and dirty books and will probably be a cat lady at some point. :)
No puedo tener suficiente de estos aliens azules! Dulce compilado!

Argumento:
Estas historias son epílogos ampliados para lectores que quieren un poco más de sus parejas favoritas. ¡No empieces aquí!
¿o no?
Compared to the main books these really...aren't it. Georgie's extended epilogue was the only one that added something and it was the least boring (maybe 3/5), but the others just got worse and worse. This felt like a chore to read, so in the future if I do continue the series I might skip the extra stories.
And peeks into the first four couples of the IPB world 🫶❤️.
I especially love how all the males are so protective, possessive, and in LOOOOVE with their females, their mates, and how OBSESSED they are with taking care of them and their upcoming kits 🫶🥹.
Super short novela, but I already knew that. What I didn’t know is that honeymoon was codeword for I guess it was just bleh. I do love these stories though and will continue reading them. This one was just not needed. Also, Georgie’s character was super uptight in this. I know she’s married to the chief but I never realized what a personality A she was. Everything with her had a constant feeling/sense of urgency. It kind of bummed me out.
It is super short and very sweet though. I don’t regret buying it. I just realized that Georgie and Vektal were never that interesting to me. Now Liz and Raahosh...give me more!!!
4/5 Stars - Raahosh and Liz
I love these two so much!! I forgot how much I loved Liz and Raahosh. I loved being inside Raahosh’s head even if he was insecure. He was so shy and quiet and Liz was so understanding and loving. She’s hard and all sharp edges with everyone but him and I love that about her. I love how protective she is of him. I love how she tells and shows him she loves him always.
This was a very good extension to the already amazing story. I’d love a future take when they have their baby. Gah!!
4/5 Stars - Aehako and Kira
Aehako and Kira are expecting and this brings out all the anxiety and fears in both of them.
These stories are short and sweet and usually involve an issue the couple is dealing with. They are so freaking cute.
5/5 Stars - Rush and Harlow
I think about all the years he grew up in the wild without anyone to talk to, much less anyone to kiss, and I'm happy that resonance paired us together. It doesn't matter that he scared me in the beginning. I saw the lonely, aching man beneath all the dirt and fell in love.
A small continuation of Harlow and Rukh. These are so perfect. It’s just a little bit more alone time for the couples. It’s the perfect read and it’s just a small glimpse into their love.
Vektal and Georgie (3/5 Stars) This honeymoon story was SO weird. Like, first off, why didn't she just tell Vektal the real reasons she wanted to leave the cave (i.e. bury the dead) like girl what. So romantic for sure.
Vektal also stays being stupid and it's a good thing this is the end of the story because I'm so over it.
Also, the author trying to justify her writing choices in the first book in this later addition is so funny to me, like just let Georgie be problematic, it was funnier. Yes, maybe she let too many girls die being horny but that's why she's so messy.
Lastly, didn't love the offhand implication that if they didn't discipline Liz's mate that all the other men would've kidnapped the human women too because that's gross, do all the men suck in this?
Anyways, I know it's not obvious but I did really enjoy the wild ride that was Ice Planet Barbarian. Is this high literature? No. But was it a camp-y, goofy silly ride I'd recommend for a fun night in? Hell yeah. Add wine and annotating in the margins and you're locked in for a good time.
Raahosh and Liz (5/5 Stars): This honeymoon story was so funny and hot - I was dying at the ~butt stuff~ and Liz's reaction. Overall, a cute read that cemented that I do actually enjoy this couple.
Aehako and Kira (5/5 Stars): They're stupid and I love them.
Rukh and Harlow (3/5 Stars): This honeymoon actually just made me mad that they spent SO LONG away from the others (and that they didn't make the ancestor's ship computer teach Rukh languages) but whatever, it was cute enough I guessss
Fun re-visiting of earlier characters --- this is 4 novellas that are essentially bonus, longer than average epilogues from books 1, 2, 3, & 4 in the Ice Planet series. Fun and very steamy!
Plot --- 3.5/5 Main Characters --- 4/5 Supporting Cast --- 4/5 Steam Level* --- 4/5 Violence --- nothing graphic or major Language --- yes! (lots of f-bombs and c-bombs) POV --- Dual
*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild (nothing descriptive); 2/5 - 3rd base action/1 home run; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere (a couple of full-on steamy scenes); 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory); 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all
A wonderful compilation of 4 novellas featuring the first four mated couples of the series going on the human tradition of a honeymoon. Try explaining that concept to an alien! It was so great to see how my favorite couples are handling being mated, pregnant and on a new planet surrounding my new things. I have a special place in my heart for grumpy, shy Raahosh just trying to make sarcastic Liz happy. I love seeing these completely different species, characters, personalities navigate the very human problems of being first married.
Okay this made me cry. Well Georgie's novella made me cry. It was somber and showed her dealing with guilt and the girls who died before they were saved in the original book. I enjoyed this part of the novella. Liz's novella was good and I think it was cute to see Raahosh be insecure. The other two novellas...I have no recollection.
It's okay. Just some Bonus chapters collected in a book. You can take it you can leave it. Doesn't enhance the series but also doesn't take away from it.
I’m not going to lie, these novellas seemed pointless. Also a couple of them were kind of sad, which felt weird given that those are emotions frequently felt in the other books.
Georgie and Vektal- 3/5 stars. It was nice to see them go back to the ship and bury the dead girls they had to leave behind. I'm disappointed that it skipped a whole week though?? Liz and Raahosh- 3/5 stars, I hate that Raahosh has the audacity to get upset that Liz got upset and physically hurt when he tried to put it in her butt?? What happened to the big caring blue alien that cared if she got hurt or not. This man didn't give two shits that she got hurt. Loser. Kira and Aehako- 4.5/5 stars. they're definitely my fave couple so far and they are so sweet together how much Aehako worries about Kira and their baby. But it annoys me that Dixon didn't think to alter the fact that in the new epilogue she wrote that Asha and Kira made amends. But now in this book they don't get along again. That feels like a big oversight to me. Harlow and Ruhk- 4 stars. It was nice seeing the little throw back moments between these two, so we could see how their relationship developed. However, I hate that we had to go back in time to get this story, and that it wasn't a true 'honeymoon' the way the others were.
Serving up all the alien 🌽 vibes ofc. These are more-so extended scenes from each book rather than extension novellas.
Georgie & Vektal brought zero honeymoon vibes, but it was nice to see Georgie healing.
Raahosh and Liz journey back to the hunters cave. Ofc on the way they have to make stops to rest and get freaky. There’s a little um.. understanding, but they figure it out 😂
Kira & Aehako venture to the main cave to get a checkup from the healer. There’s a bit of miscommunication here too, but once they talk to each other it is resolved nicely. I love how protective Aehako is 🥹 but it was odd to see the temperament of the characters kind of switch in this novella.
Harlowe & Rukh will always be my favorite out of these earlier couples. This takes place while they’re still in the caves. I really feel like this could’ve been left in the actual book to show more of how they figured out their differences and how to work together that first month or so in the cave.
So cute! This is a compilation of novellas featuring the couples in books 1-4 of the Ice Planet Barbarians series. Not really a necessary read, but I enjoyed all of them nonetheless and it was fun to get more time with some of my favourite couples.
I would recommend reading each novella directly after reading that couple's main story, rather than reading this entire book at once. Also, Rukh and Harlow's novella actually takes place chronologically in the middle of their book, before the one year time jump that happens part way through their book.
George and Vektal - 3.5 stars (it was cute, and i liked their extended story) Liz and Raahosh - 5 stars (my favorite, they stayed true to their character's personas, and the story felt realistic) Kira and Aehako - 2 stars (Aehako and Kira having role reversal over who is anxious and who is not, it wasn't the best) Harlow and Rukh - 4 stars (cute, but an extended version of what has already happened, not so much an epilogue)
On this episode of Human Women teach Blue Aliens Earth Culture: Honeymoons
Because, as the aliens put it, “why walk far to bang when we could do it in front of our family and friends?” But trust me, they find out why.
Some short and sweet extended epilogues but don’t worry, these girls also want to find new ways to spice it up with their partners. I’m obsessed with all of the alien golden retrievers and the strong, culturally competent women.
KACIE this was boring. it was just cutesy relationship info and a lot of BARBARIAN SEX. so i googled it and if we want the real plot, we have to go straight to book 2. So i think im going to skip all of the “0.5” versions
