I think I liked this best of her trio of books. A thorough and thoughtful exploration of the deeper elements of her style, beyond the visual look and into themes and patterns. She spends a chapter on each, with lots of visual examples and advice. Her coloring tutorial at the end is detailed and provides several variant examples.

За съжаление, издателите са избрали да ги принтират на матова вместо гланцирана хартия, поради което иначе ярките цветове изглеждат по-притъпени и са загубили част от чара си.
По отношение на текста - за мен винаги е от ползва да "чуя" как разсъждава един художник и беше интересно да се докосна до мисловен свят на Loish. Основната тема на книгата е откриването на личен стил в рисуването и авторката разглежда различни аспекти от своя стил с цел да помогне на другите да открият техния. Докато първото е постигнато напълно и определено мога да разбера какво е повлияло на художничката в изграждането на стила ѝ, не мога да кажа, че съветите ѝ бяха добре формулирани и ясно структурирани. Липсваше ми и универсалност и усещането определено е, че написаното е по-скоро насочено към творци, които също рисува предимно фигури и то дигитално.

Such an amazing book by Loish, I loved everything about it!

She gives a lot of very useful tips/exercise ideas to find your own style, and also talks elaborately about how she found hers and what inspires her. I loved all the artworks with different mediums that she included too. I found it especially fascinating how she paints based on her emotional experience of something, rather than the exact aesthetic or look of it.

I'm so glad I bought this book and I can't wait to try the exercises myself. Throughout the whole book it really felt like she's your big sister trying to help you out and I just loved how personal it felt. I would highly recommend this one for both collecting and educational purposes!

the tutorial and quick tip pages are so helpful? I actually feel like i want to paint again.
Having an artist like Loish explain their process like this and them embracing intuition as guidance for their artistic decisions was so refreshing and inspiring, since i always felt like my art has to be more methodical and like every decision has to be rooted in some kind of arbitrary rule.
