Mystic Caravan Circus is on the move after their winter break. First stop? Moonstone Bay. Poet Parker and crew are looking for a permanent location because traveling won’t be an option for much longer. They’re expecting a normal trip.
They’re getting so much more … including a mystery.
The day after they arrive, a body drops in the ditch across from the city park, and what follows is a series of bone-chilling events that revolve around the island’s children. It seems something weird is causing them to act out of sorts … and they might just have murder on their minds.
Moonstone Bay is a magical place and Poet feels a kinship with the land and people who live there almost immediately. Unfortunately, the terror stalking the island isn’t something that can be ignored.
Poet has to band together with the island inhabitants – including a feisty witch and fiery half-demon – to figure out what’s happening. Their research leads them to an ancient story about a possessing demon, and the villages he left decimated in his wake.
Poet is strong. Her new friends make her stronger. If Moonstone Bay is ultimately to be their home, she’s going to have to go all out to protect it.
Two teams are coming together to fight a war. It’s going to take all of them to ensure a happy ending.
Buckle up. Things are about to get wicked on Moonstone Bay.

I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

entertaining paranormal urban fantasy/cozy mystery series

This is an entertaining paranormal urban fantasy/cozy mystery series. An extraordinary cast of characters and a unique and dinnertating storyline. Mystic caravan is a circus that travels around the country half the crew is paranormal and the other half is human. Most of the performers are supernatural but the clowns in the midway personnel and janitorial are mostly human. They travel the country entertaining the masses and searching out evil paranormal as well as evil humans. This particular story is a crossover event between two of this authors entertaining series. Read on and see how port Parker and her crew and Hadley and the gang on their little island come together to fight a new evil. Extraordinarily entertaining and I wish upon read. A great crossover event with mini characters from both series I will entertain you from beginning to end.

Another great installment

I love these books. It’s like a comic book come to life where you wait (impatiently haha) for the next great story. This is definitely one of the best of Ms. Lee’s stories and well worth the read. But start at the beginning because these characters are glorious.

Demonic children.. sounds like my son!! Lol

As the Mystic Circus arrives in Moonstone Bay there's already trouble afoot.. and as always it's coming from more than one direction as Mark tries to force his personal wishes on everyone else and the island children are running out of control.

Poet and her circus family are trying to find a place to settle down for good, the island with its heavily paranormal population seems ideally suited for a group that includes everything from Lamia to pixies, a cross dressing dwarf to Romani, but only if they can resolve the issue with the miserable midway manager Mark (nice alliteration if I say so myself!) who is determined to force Poet's hand by any means possible. And then there's the possibility that the children are going to wipe out the entire island, if Raven has it right this isn't a simple case of possession, it's a case of draining an entire population and wiping out everyone. With the demon using the children knowing that none of them are prepared to harm a single hair on their heads he's amassing a large army but has he factored in the wealth of experience, power and knowledge between the circus and the islanders?

Absolutely loved it.. can't wait to find out more about Sidney..

action-packed, full of magic, mystery and mayhem.

Well now, my head is reeling after that full-on supernatural adventure, in a totally awesome way mind you.
Circus meets Island life in a demonic explosion!!! This could be the front page of the local paper lol.
Poet, Kade, Luke, Cole, Raven, Naida, Nixie, Nelly, Max and the rest of mystic caravan travel to Moonstone Bay, the most magical, supernatural island.
It’s time to scope out the future for out favourite circus family and that might just be Moonstone Bay, but first they need to work with the locals to tackle a few problems…
Luckily Cole is cousins with Lilac and everyone melds together smoothly to deafest their current foe.
Oh the ending was the very, very, very best!!!

The circus is setup in Moonstone Bay and checking it out if they want to move there permanently, but there are bodies the first night.

What I enjoyed:
* I love these characters but the last several books have been crossovers with other series and that leaves the secondary characters from this series barely getting any pages
* Nice to see Luke and Poet snarking together, would like more of this
* The team did great thinking up ways to

What could have been better:
* The whole Mark situation doesn't make sense
* I really hope we are done with cross overs for a while, it really takes away from these characters

This was an adventure of a story and introduced some cool new characters that I am sure we will see more of, it didn't really delve deeper into any of the current characters which was a bummer but there were new developments about the future of the circus.

Proofreading could have been better, the author could have left out the back story of the current characters again. Nobody needs the back story, this is book 13, we haven't forgot. I digress.

Poet's character is sometimes annoying with always trying to be the hero, so much so that the story line is becoming very predictable. I am hoping there is a little change up in the stories because so far this series is much better than the midwest witch series that was way too predictable.

Anyway it was a decent read.

Not just any demon

What a fun, thrill ride this story is! Of course, it is a circus, and on Moonstone Bay no less.
When Poet and her gang meet Hadley and her crew, it's almost like they had always known each other.
But, it's not all fun and games when an ancient demon starts possessing the island children, and even those of some of the tourists. How do you fight children?
You can't, and that's his strength and strategy.
Are the two groups of strong and varied magic gifts enough to defeat the demon, free the children, and the parents; or is the island of Moonstone Bay doomed?
I dare you to read this series from the start.
I double dog dare you!
You'll be glad you did!

Another winner

A little different from the normal Mystic Caravan book in that you don't meet the baddie. This one is a surprise

The gang works well with the folks from the island and might just have found a future home. Time and travel will tell

The best part...well, perhaps not the best but the most pleasing is the end of a turd Good bye and not wishing you good luck. My only fear is they will cause problems in the future

Another winner for Ms Lee. Great addition to a wonderful serirs

I love crossovers

Poet and Kade meet Hadley and Galen! Of course there is a crisis. I find it a bit worryingly that they are discussing the circus give up traveling, as that could signal the end of the series, and we've seen series end before, which,as Clove Winchester says, makes my eyes leak. But since Zoe and Aric still turn up periodically, it's possible that I wouldn't have to give up reading about their adventures. Also if they have a year of traveling to get through, that could require another dozen books.

I have to say that this author is very entertaining. She weaves her magic throughout the
book and you have to wonder if she isn't part of the mystic caravan herself. I started with the grim series and I loved the characters so much that I didn't want to say goodbye. I then found the mystic caravan and she made me want to run away and join her circus. The tone of the series has a seedy underbelly with an over the top magical mystery that has an abundance of multi dimensional characters and character development. Great job! Now off to read the wicked witches installment. CHEERS!

GR8 crossover book!

While I like this series, I truly appreciated this crossover book! Imho, this one was soooo much better imho. And yes, I enjoyed all the other crossovers too; Asling visiting on her honeymoon and the Winters going for a pack event...Moonstone Bay is a popular vacation spot afterall, so they are all good, well conceived story lines, but I thought this one moved better and was less predictable. Can't wait til March for the circus to begin their circuit!

Sadly it's the last book in the series

Sadly this is the last book in the series. I love it when characters from two book get together. Although it's the last book I'm hoping that Amanda will change her mind and do more mystic caravan books because the stories are so well written with good characters. I'd just like to see more in the hemlock family series especially if Brandon finally meets someone but that's another series

Finale?

A visit to an island of paranormals ,with an idea of a permanent home for the circus, turns into a demon fight. One demon, shouldn't be too hard to kill, right? Wrong, he has tethered the children of th town and is using them as his soldiers. They can't and won't kill the kids, they need a way to incapacitate the kids without harm to get to the possession demon. Lets just say, Memoir is in his glory!

This is amazing!

Lucky 13 or just incredible magic? Poet, Kade and the gang are up against a vicious foe, yet again and there is trouble with a staff member that complicates things. While Mystic Caravan is checking out Moonstone Bay they meet some Hadley, Galen and their gang and the adventures abound.
I really enjoyed this one and I was so happy to learn there will be more to come in the Poet adventures.

Children possessed by something from Africa

On Moon Bay Island for a trial home base or more ,the caravan circus finds friends with the Gaven crew of paranormal friends. When children start attacking people not just pulling pranks as they had been. The two groups solve the mystery, with no help from Mark the midway boss who thinks he should be in charge of the whole circus. Lots of twists and turns. There must be another book coming!

OMG I so Love this writer, Amanda you are amazining and I have not even read your other series which are on my list to read. But these books just give me everything I want out of a paranormal series.
This time the Carnival goes to an island with lost of like minded individuals where they think they can vacation but things are not always what they seem.

Another great book! I am already on to the next one.

Supernatural fantasy

The Mystic Caravan has a new destination for its first stop on this years circuit - Moonstone Bay. They want to see if there is a potential future for them there after they stop traveling. The two groups of paranormals meet and mingle quickly since Cole and Lilac are cousins. Soon they and the islands residents are under attack and it will take all of them to survive.

Moonstone Bay, here we come!

I do love a good cross over, and when it involves one of my favourite series (Moonstone Bay), well, count me in. Love that the Mystic Circus is considering a permanent change of location, and Moonstone Bay is just the perfect place for a paranormal circus. The mystery was interesting, and I was rather amused with Luke’s reaction to Booker 😂. Can’t wait to see how the author will handle two series set in the same location.

Another great read from the Mystic Caravan series! Headed to an island that may or may not their permanent home when they finally decide to "settle down", they are confronted by some children who have become feral like. When not fighting with the nasty, belligerent midway boss who thinks the Circus couldn't survive without HIS midway, Poet is finding more children who see to be taken over by somone or something!
And another great cover!

good look at what’s to come

Thankfully, this collision of book series didn’t go as badly as with the Reapers—personalities are just (just) distinct enough that it wasn’t like reading exact clones of each character. It’s definitely still a notable problem, but it didn’t hold this book up like it has in the past.

Great story

Poet, Kade, and the gang finally make it to Moonstone Bay to check out their new possible permanent location. They meet some interesting locals and then things get complicated when it becomes obvious that a demon has come to town. Poet and the gang demonstrate great development as a team. I can't wait for the next adventure.

Extraordinary!

I highly recommend this Magical book, and the fascinating series in which it is, to readers who love reading fast paced action, true love connections, and families formed thru love and respect. These characters also form partnerships based in equality which make them stronger. These stories are also set in interesting places, that only enhance them. Enjoy!

Most exciting adventure yet

This was the Mystic Caravan’s Most Exciting Adventure Yet! This time they join forces with new friends to fight the most diabolical foe yet! The group faces enemies unlike any they’ve ever faced with real ethical issues. Poet also faces an internal enemy as well! Only one “spoiler” the enemy isn’t Raven!

Scary just doesn't cover it!!

Scary just doesn't cover this story!! I always thought that clowns and dolls were the scariest things out there but possessed children are by far!
The demise of a demain isn't guaranteed but anything and everything is a go to try to save the kids of Moonstone Bay!

can’t wait to see what happens next

Like all of Amanda’s paranormal series this one is just so much fun. I really enjoyed the story and I love that all the characters in these series live in the same universe and get to interact. The characters are mostly sympathetic and I care what happens to them and look forward to seeing where life takes them.

Great as usual

I love these books and this 🎪 circus! It's the best when we meet characters from other series. I love that the sheriff is Aric's cousin and this is the perfect place for the crew to make a permanent home. I can't wait to find out what Poets Uncle has to say in the next book. Maybe we will finally start getting some Intel on her gifts!

My favorite series by this author

I love Poet and the whole idea of a circus where the people performing the acts also fight evil.

I also enjoy it when the author brings in characters from her other books. It adds another layer to the world she has built.

It is a series and Starting at the beginning lets you watch them grow and see a bit of what makes Poet, Poet.

I have to say

I honestly did not enjoy this book. I've read and re-read all of the others however I didn't even finish this one.. I skipped through the final chapters. It was just too much..to fantastical??? if that's even a word?
I would like to see this series continued however not in the setting nor story line this book took. 😞

Good.

Had fun reading this book. The Circus group around Booker was funny. Seemed to be a little over in the attraction hormones (don't remember everyone else acting quite that strongly to Booker) but he's not around a lot of other's in the books.
Enjoyed Raven's part and as always Nellie is a hoot.

Worth the read.

Readers delight

All the books in this series are full of action and fun. The characters are well developed and with the crossover of characters from other series the diversity helps to maintain the readers interest, and fosters curiosity in other books written by this author.
