Inner Alignment Soul Retrieval for Childhood Trauma: a six-layered approach to address the root cause of anxiety and depression

Rate this book
Childhood trauma gets trapped as trauma packets deep within the body, below the conscious mind, in a space that seems inaccessible. The trauma patterns will continue to repeat, wreaking havoc on relationships and blocking the soul’s deepest desires. The Inner Alignment Soul Retrieval System addresses the original traumas stored at every layer of the body—negative thoughts, death fear emotions, chaotic energies, physical dysregulation, lack of awareness, and spiritual disconnection—to restore wholeness and live in alignment with the Heart. Once the trauma is addressed, it must be sustained through neuroscience-based principles, building new neural networks; reprogramming thoughts, emotions and behavior; and integrating soul fragments. Relieving long-term depression or anxiety is completely possible, and it’s time for practitioners to become equipped with precise tools.“Kim is an extraordinary visionary who has integrated various interventions into a well-defined program to address childhood trauma and the whole person.”—Jessica Desrosiers, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist

This book clarifies why we continue to hold onto firm limiting beliefs & fears (= unresolved childhood trauma). The foundation is based mainly on Ayurveda and the author thoroughly explains how old trauma is triggered and can manifest in adult life. Despite the title however, this is not really a self-help type of book. The soul retrieval component is not explained in great details. It seems expected that one would book a session with the author's team to experience the healing they are describing. It makes sense considering the need for a safe container (in other words, we cannot do this work alone), but I still wish they showed how to perform some of the breathing and yogic practices mentioned, so that we at least have something to work with in the meantime.

Need someone to help you with this

I got some great insights on trauma but this is not a process you can do by yourself. You needed what SHE refers to as a *healer*
aka someone trained in this healing modality.

I was hoping this would give give me the tools to heal myself but In fact it has stirred up some trauma and I don't possess the tools to navigate what's come up for me all by myself.

I should mention I'm also with therapist. I now feel I need it a therapist with greater urgency than I did before I read the book.

4 1/2 stars. Didn’t get 5 because I though the end was a bit sales pitch-y. My copy has tons of bookmarks, highlights and notations. A transformative read!
