Just when Aurora is finally taking control of her own life, everything seems to be falling into chaos. She leaves behind all that she's ever known to take a chance at life in an entirely new place. But America is nothing like England, and its inhabitants even more so.
Trusting her brother to help her adapt, Aurora accepts his offer to stay with him and some of his teammates. Seven of them to be exact. She quickly comes to realize that her comfort zone doesn't exist here, and everything is big, scary, and intimidating.
Just like her brother's best friend.
Maddox is Aurora's polar opposite, which explains the magnetic pull that he seems to feel for her. He knows that he's bad for her, that the bad in his life will only taint her purity, like a drop of ink in water. Maddox doesn't know what to think about the new girl, but he does know that he thinks about her way too much.
He knows that he can't sit by while she struggles, and life in Greenville is sink or swim.
Aurora's been thrown into the deep-end without a life preserver and the only thing keeping her from drowning is a tattooed hand reaching out to help her.
This book was super sweet. I loved the contrast between Maddox and Aurora. Her innocence and child-like view of the world makes her endearing and somewhat relatable. Maddox is kind of a tortured soul but shows his true colors around his friends, Aurora, and his little sister, Penny.
I wished there was a little more context within Maddox's relationship with his father. Why did the damaged relationship with his father put a strain on Maddox's love life and familial emotions/obligations?
One more thing that bothered me was there was no epilogue, and the story felt like it was lacking because of it. It was adorable but needed something extra to make it feel complete. Overall, this book is a must-read, and, in my case, a re-read.
A little disapointed of this book after reading the first one. Thought that Aurora was to naive and you allways predicted what were going to happend. Hope that last book will be better!
This was my favorite of the series! The contrast between Aurora and Maddox was everything. The extensive character development made me feel like I was growing with the characters. I also felt the backstories for the characters were explained more naturally than they were for the characters in the first book. I enjoyed the integration of the other characters because again, I felt like a part of the friend group. The use of proximity played a significant role in the development of Maddox and Aurora's relationship, and I tend to gravitate towards that idea. The thoughts of the characters were very relatable, especially in terms of that initial infatuation. Just like in the first book, the author's writing was great. My biggest struggle with non-published books is improper grammar, but I know I can rely on this author to put together a cohesive story while following punctuation rules. This will definitely be my new go-to comfort book.
I loved these characters, and I still smile recalling their individual development and growth – both as people and as a couple. I mean... Maddox is my new favorite fantasy while Aurora is my newest inspiration slash role model. Ugh, they’re just so damn perfect (both individually and together), and that simple thought makes my heart run wild.
I know they’re fictional characters and all, but they feel so... real. Natural, almost. I don’t know how to explain it, but I’m not one to just fall in love with characters this quickly and this intensely.
Honestly, I’m just glad I finally took the time out of my day to read this book. It’s now earned a permanent place in my heart of ice (as well as on multiple reading lists on my Wattpad account), and I sincerely hope this book gets published one day so I’ll be able to buy and add it to my (slowly) growing collection!
My only complaint (if this could even count as one) is that I wish there were more scenes with Aurora and her brother. Not only that, but more #Addox scenes WITH Chase – just to see the dynamic. I’d also love to see a bonus chapter or something with them in the future.
All in all, I’ll give Honey Hair a solid 10/10, because fucking DUH. Can’t wait to check out all your other works so I can swoon some more!!🥰

3(2.5)/ the writing was just not that great and could've been so much better and the relationship wasn't much either and i disliked aurora and maddox wasn't too far up their on my list. kind of just a disappointment and only reason o finished was bc it was short enough to be like why not. also i discovered this book through the wattpad 25 christmas romance and their chapter, there is such a difference between aurora in that vs her in the book and their relationship and i just couldn't see how she got to that point from where we finished in the book there was no hint or explanation. which was basically the whole book, just not it.
A passionate story of two souls who've finally met who they belong with. Beautifully written. I absolutely adore Maddox and Aurora, they're so completely different in personality, looks and in the way they look at life but they are made for eachother and grow to be one of my favourite Wattpad couples ever. Aurora is super endearing and insanely adorable while Maddox is tough as nails and easy on the eyes, but a softie for his girl. Definitely worth the five star review!

3.5 ⭐️ - ngl out of the trilogy i like this one the least,, i love maddie in the other books but idk j smth about him in this book - best friends sister so cute bit the broody boy who cant express emotions j offset it for me - might j be a me thing but idl the way aurora dresses 🤷♀️ - i think she over exaggerated aurora’s innocence for a college student - MADDOX AND PENNY OMFFFF boys who r good w choldern - bro and hes yaman af pa
I found this book randomly on Wattpad and I fell in love with it. Light-hearted, cute and relaxing are some of the words I would use to describe this novel. In Wattpad there a lot of books with innocent girls and bad boys, but the way the author described their relationship melted my heart.
I’m not gonna I was very disappointed on how it ended, but I give it a high rating because I loved the way Maddox treated Aurora with care and passion. One of those stories where the connection is visible but it means more than that when one is to dwell into the story a little more.
Honestly can’t decide if I loved this one or the first one more! I love the contrast between Aurora and Maddox and how they bring the best out in each other! Just one more book to go now for me 😉
