A submissive wolf doesn’t argue back, keeps silent, needs saving from the world. Will always need saving. I don’t want to be that girl anymore…
These rules threaten my future with the man I love, the only man I will ever love. I can choose to break those rules or break both our hearts.
Now, all those truths I always lived by are about to mean the difference between life and death and not just mine. If we’re going to survive, they’d better be wrong.
Can I become the girl I always wanted to be, the girl Marshall deserves, or will I lose my life and my love?
Due to adult language, violence, and steamy scenes this book is recommended for 18+
3.5 // I liked it but I am not a fan of the “woe is me” FMC who whines about being weak and that is half the book so be prepared if you don’t like it either. But I love the MMC, Marshall. He is so sweet + smitten with her and refuses to give up on her. It’s worth reading for him alone.
Mentioned this in my review for the previous book: there is an established pattern now if the FMC falling at inopportune moments as a plot device and it is trite. I really hope every book in the series doesn’t have this.
The main girl was actually insufferable like all she did was cry. 😭 Anyways I’m kinda not liking how each book ends with the girl getting pregnant but okay.
Awww this was a sweet read, although it was very frustrating throughout 3/4 of the book it was still lovely. Jenna loves Marshall, but doesn’t believe she can be mates to a dominant male, as a submissive she doesn’t feel she can offer anything and eventually she’ll disappear in the relationship, but this is born from misunderstandings and self doubt, will Marshall win back the love of his life? Great story and plot, love the characters, loads of angst, and some dramatic scenes. The love scenes are hot, but tasteful. Overall this is a story about finding out who you are and what you’re capable of, it was good. Recommended
Jenna is so different from our last few ladies. And understandably so. Her nature and personality has caused some serious insecurities. I was surprised last book when trouble started happening because Jenna and Marshall are solid. And so adorable. But I’m so glad I got to see this one work out. And we meet new people. And things are occurring we don’t know about. And I think that’s about to be a new fun ride!!
Fully planned on taking a break from this series, but was ultimately too lazy to find another book to read. I continue to enjoy this authors voice and it holds my attention despite everything else. I really wish she would do dual pov again but she only did it for book 2 so far. It would help flesh out these stories and characters a bit as it is everything is very surface level. Still they are cute and fun. I might go right into next book because I liked Keir a lot 🥵
Least favorite so far. It just felt like the direction was out of the blue and also not much actually happened. I just don’t get it. For instance, her wolf finally wants to be bit and he’s like nah, I need to leave. Um what??? There’s been like 150 pages leading up to this as like a main conflict and then nothing.
It was cute to a point, but sometimes it got too much missed communication and complaining and pity party for herself. I did like the fact that she grew and did things, little things for herself but I really don’t like when people don’t communicate.
Another 5 star rating for these two love birds! I enjoy that none of the storylines in this series are the same, each love story is different, but I also enjoy still reading about the previous books characters as I also fell in love with them.
This book was more about Jenna, and who she wanted to be, than it was about the relationship. The relationship was already there, and it was perfect, what changed was who Jenna was in relationship to…well, everything. I’m glad I read it.
This writer knows how to bring to life. These paranormal fictional supernatural creatures and enhance their human side and make them see more human than savage compared to other writers who make them very savage
I like the fact that they worked out their differences. I am happy that she realized that she is not weak. Would have loved Savanna and Ragen to be there.
