Would you give love a second chance if it came in the form of a time-traveling pirate captain?

A heartbroken, brooding pirate and his crew battle a storm on the open ocean in 1725. When the clouds part, a magical book changes the course of his ship, and his heart, forever.

Modern-day librarian Tress has been abandoned one time too many and fully believes the romance found in books is the only love she'll ever know.

But then a real-life pirate captain shows up in the library basement, dripping with seawater, and with a look in his piercing eyes that makes her second guess her stance on romance.

Desperate to find his way back to his own time, Charles begs for Tress's help in searching for the portal that sent him 304 years forward in time.

But can Tress help him without risking the heart she’s painstakingly protected for years?

And what happens when they are both thrown back into the past…

Can they overcome their fears and choose love, or will the book that brought them together tear them apart—this time forever?

***
Let the first book in the Triangle of Spirits Series help you escape into a world of magical portals, brooding pirate captains, a journey of traveling through time and history, unbelievable second chances, and a love that transcends time.

I knew I was going to love this book. Everything I've read by this author has been our comfort and serotonin. She has a way of making me feel like I'm home within her stories

Tress and Charles and fantastic, their story is so beautiful. There's so much lose and heartbreak and hope and I love them so much, love their story so much

I don't have the words to say more, except that I'm sad it's over and I can't rest in the pages a little longer

All in all, a beautiful book and one I highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and give it a read, you won't regret it 💕

My heart cried by the end of this book. What a beautiful story and poetic writing that wasn’t over the top flowery but just right and hit me where it hurts but in a good, thoughtful way.

I understood Tres on such a deep level, her fears and hopes and longing heart and love of fiction really spoke to me and made me feel seen, especially when she said she read to survive. Just, yes, girl, same. I really liked Charles too and seeing them both grow individually and as a couple was so sweet and wonderful to witness.

I’m not someone who is drawn to pirate stories as a buzz word so that part had no effect on my enjoyment, same with the time travel, but I did like what the author did with both of these elements.

This is a slow, thoughtful story with a sweet romance that I really enjoyed even though it had little to no action, but, hey, that just goes to show that I CAN like slow books as long as I can connect with the story and characters. So see, there’s hope for me yet. 😜

It is so hard to find a clean time-traveling book! I really enjoyed this book and the characters. I felt for Treasure and her past. And Charles was an awesome hero. The prose was really good, though a bit repetitive in some places. However, the author really pulled at my heart with the depths of emotions both characters went through (especially Treasure).

I do wish that there would have been more depth with Charles though. I wanted his reaction to being dropped into the modern world. We don't get any of that and I feel it would have added a lot more layers to the story. Other than that and some of the repetitiveness of both MC's past, I truly enjoyed this story!

I really hope the second book is about Eon or dare I hope...Will?

More like 4.5 stars!!

“My plans after work are always a date with a book” wow how much do I relate to Tress💕 also, I am not usually a pirate trope person but wow.. Charles and Tress just made me so happy.

The details and story overall just made me truly fall for each of the characters. Austin’s writing style kept me hooked and come on.. time travel?? 🤩 Just freaking loved this story and did not want it to end

I want to thank the author Austin for the ebook and all of the opinions/thoughts above are completely my own!

What an enjoyable story! Austin's ability to navigate the POV & voice of Treasure & Charles through their timelines was impressive. I was easily able to get lost in the magic, yet still be touched by the reality & personal journeys of the characters.

Great read

I found this book very enjoying, it was hard to put it down after I picked it up. It’s nice how the story does not take long to get started like some time travel romance books. The only thing that would of made the story better was if there was more description to flesh out the characters appearance.

For those who doubt love can find them need to read this story.

The loved the whole story and would

have liked to see more of the prelude of the pirates life before meeting his love. Yes it would have been a longer book but well worth the extra pages.

I recently got into pirate romances this year and a lot of them are similar, but this one was so unique with the time travel element. It was a really fun read and I thought the couple was so cute, I also really liked both of them separately as characters in general. I found Tress to be very relatable. I think the plot also really shone in this book because there was a lot of excitement and some really clever events that made it really hard to put down.

There were however some things i wanted more of. I really want to know what Jonah's deal was, we get the background but we don't really know what he did or why. I'd also like to know the same for the parents, they just abandoned her for no good reason. Are they jerks? Were they too young? But none of this is pertinent to the story, it's just be being a nosy busybody because I loved this story lol.

I can suspend disbelief for time travel but I draw the line at Charles getting a job and being legally married. How would he have a social security number to do those things? You’re telling me this man went to the DMV?

This is book 1 in the Triangle of Spirits Series and can be read as a standalone. Pirate's Treasure is told through Tress and Charles' pov and is a gripping time traveling romance.

CW: a few biblical exclamations, brief mentions of abandonment/neglect, addiction, and homelessness
Spice: kisses that are descriptive but don't get too heated

I've read this book twice now and I could see myself reading it again in the future. From the start, I was drawn in by the author's poetic way of writing. While there are thoughts that the characters have that are repetitive, I didn't mind as it really made you feel the pain that they experienced. Both Tress and Charles had scars because of their past and it was beautiful to read a friendship, and more, develop between them. While Tress was cautious, a small part of her longed for adventure - which is what Charles brought to her life. Though he tried to keep his walls up, he couldn't help but to be protective of Tress. Though their romance was a slow burn, the tension will keep readers eagerly waiting for Tress and Charles to address their growing feelings. Aside from the romance, the time traveling kept me on edge wondering what they would encounter and how a happy ending would look like for them. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what else the author has in store with this series.
