This is one of the best collections of poetry I have ever read. The translator took the time to research and write short biographies for every author in the the book (there are over 100 authors) and collected a lot of poems of similar themes. The main theme of the book is reflection on life in old age, varying from profound philosophical musings, to simple regrets, to contentment for a life well lived. I really like the consistency of quality In this collection. All of the authors have something of value to bring to the table.
