I've been obsessed with Hawthorne and the Radley series since the first book came out and knew it was only the first of many books to come that would be the standard which all authors in the genre would have to live up to. With this, the third installment in the series, the quality of Hawthorne's ability to write a compelling, multi-layered, entertaining, and fascinating plot with 12+ interesting and lovable characters that have meaningful development is solidified. Many authors in men's fantasy can write good stories, many can write good characters, many can write good worlds, and some can even write good smut, but only Annabelle Hawthorne has been able to do all of that at once. Her stories are fantastic and as long as she keeps that mindset as she is being catapulted to notoriety in the subgenre, she will no doubt have a long and fruitful career with many more great and sexy stories to come.
In this installment, the world is growing right alongside the house and the Radley family. The story is really heating up and the stakes have grown so much from the first book, and I can't say much bad about it at all. If you liked the first two books, you will absolutely love this one.
This series is right up my ally when it comes to male targeted fantasy, so it is one of the easiest 5 star reviews I've ever given.
Monster girls fantasy harem adult situations Book 3 in series Annabelle Hawthorne has another hit with this third entry in the Radley Home for Horny Monsters series; actually, this the fourth book because The Last of Her Kind dovetails into the series later on. Just as Tink the genius goblin girl is on the cover of the first book and Ratu the Naga is on the cover of the second book, Yuki the kitsune with three tails is the focus this particular story.
There's danger and action aplenty, with magic, witches, necromancers, demons, and more! As well as all the many previous house residents we've come to know and appreciate. A lot of revelations about Emily, the previous Caretaker, too.
If this is the first time you seen this author or series, start with the first book because you have a bit of catching up to do. Highly recommended.
DNF at 20% I'll get back to it There isn't anything 'Wrong' with this book, but from page one I just wasn't interested. I really wanted to read something else I didn't have, so I started to read this to kill time. But I just couldn't make any head way. This isn't a reflection on this book as much as my state of mind, ...except. Except that Annabelle Hawthorne had 50 some odd pages to catch me and make me forget that other book. She couldn't even make me forget the laundry I needed to do.
Book three has some issues with sprawl. I can feel the structure straining under all the interconnected plot threads in this one. But dont worry, its still sexy and funny and action packed and introduces an all time character. Mike also discovers some important stuff about his magic in this book but if you make it this far its hard for me to believe you wont keep going. And this is not a series to pick up in the middle, absolutely start at the beginning and read through.
I started reading the series because I loved watching the old fosters home for imaginary friends cartoon so the title of the first book cought my eye and loved them ever since. Mrs. Hawthorne is truly gifted in how she mixes all the parts of the story together with just enough erotic to keep it interesting with out it taking away from the storyline
How is it possible to imbue these monsters with such a clear sense of character and personality? Annabelle Hawthorne continues to do just that in this suspenseful, sexy saga. Life and death, attack and defense, whole worlds colliding to protect her amazing cast of magical characters. I’m ready for more!
Quite a wild ride that I had a hard time putting down. There was an over-long section of sex that bogged things down in the latter part of the book, but overall it was engaging throughout. Now I'm caught up and have to wait for the next one; it looks like it could be pretty wild too.
I listened to the first 2 and was very impressed. Amber did a he'll of a great job with the audio version. This one I purchased the digital version and read it. I must admit I thoroughly enjoy reading it. I still think it's an adult romantic novel. 5*****
This has been a fun series, the action and adventure, crazy character s balance out the spice. Kind of disappointed that this was the end. But Annabelle left room for a comeback. Do your self a favor and read it.
It’s truly a pleasure to follow Mike’s adventures, he and every other characters have depth and personality that makes me really care for them and want to know what’s next, starting book 4 right away, I need my fix
Charming characters, with warmth and humor. Yes, there's a lot of sex, but the main protagonist, Mike, isn't a randy jerk and the sex fits into the plot rather neatly.
Hawthorne's superb writing and romance continue in the second book of this series. I am obviously a fan at this point and cannot express my enjoyment of this series enough!
Another great episode in this series. I love Mike's attutude and philosophy, I love to see him winning over adversaries by not being what they expect. Its also good to have a hero who isn't all conquering by uses his team to full advantage. Come on Annabelle book four now required.
I'm not gonna say I didn't binge these books one after another, but I did. This particular book was a whirlwind of disaster, sex and intrigue. Honestly, the entire thing felt like one big season finale. Once again, I was not left without satisfaction and a longing for more.
This is porn. It's well written, entertaining, and often funny porn with a good plot and characterization, and the fantasy element isn't just tacked on. It's also good fantasy. But if porn offends you, you should avoid it. For everyone else, especially readers of fantastic fiction, recommended.
