Sister princesses Juniper and Olivia are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their aunt, Duchess Melissa. Unfortunately, the castle needs to be cleaned before Aunt Melissa arrives, and Queen Jennifer does not have enough time to complete everything that needs to be done. If only she had enough time to put her magic wand to good use! Princess Olivia is thrilled about the prospect of a magic wand, and she promises to be responsible when her mother offers it to Olivia in her stead. Despite her best intentions, though, Olivia makes some big mistakes that must be remedied in order to put the castle back in order. This delightful beginner chapter book is a charming story for fans of tales that feature magic and princesses. Short chapters include frequent black and white illustrations and sufficient white space to give newer readers a visual respite while helping the story move forward with ease. Ample repetition of words and phrases gives readers the confidence they need to become comfortable with new vocabulary while advancing through the story, as well. Fans of Sofia the First and similar storytelling styles will appreciate the approach of this story as Princess Olivia makes mistakes and learns from them. At the end of the book, readers will find a list of A.M. Luzzader's other books for young people. One of a series of adventures, this story is one that readers will love as they get to know Princesses Olivia and Juniper while simultaneously improving their own reading skills. This is a lovely addition to library collections for newly independent readers to share on their own or with caregivers.

This was it - the last of the 6 books. This one was really cute. Princess Olivia was allowed to have access to her mother's magic wand - to clean the castle while her parents went away to fetch an Aunt.

Of course there were mishaps - mishaps galore.

Again, a most delightful read. I am sad that the series is ended.
