The Earl of Rushton is in need of a wife, and Lady Serena requires a husband. This ought to be a simple arrangement. And yet...how is a man supposed to court his potential bride when he can't even find her? Rush always thought he'd marry for love like his parents, but love won't save his estate from ruin. And so here he is, playing a game of cat and mouse with the headstrong young lady who'd agreed to be his bride during one fateful sleigh ride. He ought to move on, find a lady who's not intent on leading him on a wild goose chase. And he would, except...he can't. Because the more he learns about his mysterious bride-to-be, the more he finds himself enchanted. Is it possible that a marriage of convenience could be something more? Possibly. But he'll have to catch her first.
She's caught in a trap...
Lady Serena didn't exactly lie when she'd told the Earl of Rushton she would marry him. She just hadn't thought it would ever come to pass. After all, everyone knew he was supposed to marry her sister. Even when that agreement fell through, she felt certain he would find some better alternative. He's looking for a proper countess, and no gentleman would wish for the free-spirited, irrepressible Maxwell sister for that role, even if her dowry is substantial enough to save his estate. But the kind, handsome earl is also surprisingly persistent. Not to mention cunning. A man determined to woo her with dancing and flowery praise, she could easily deflect. But when he offers to take her shooting and leaves her breathless with his kisses...it's not just her freedom she's in danger of losing. Now it's her heart on the line.

Will she be able to sort her feelings from her fears …
I confess I have been curious for some time about this association, one author I have yet to read and the other I know under a different pen name. So for once, I made room for this new story, plus I love any Christmas themed story. And I really do not regret taking a moment to stop by and read this book. It was funny, sweet and cute. Serena feels awkward among society, she knows how to comport herself but is I’ll at ease, always trying to find what she must say or not. She must prefer everything taking place outdoor, so difficult for a lady who is expected to paint, embroider, sing or dance when she wants to ride at breakneck and shoot with a wide range of weapons. Rush is in a hurry, with debts collectors on his doorstep, he faces ruin, so the answer to his plight s to win one of the Maxwell women’s hand. Why he has no other choice than to set aside his own dreams and to be ready to woo one of the ladies, of the four, Lady Serena is the one who attracts him the most, if he can stay in her company long enough to court her.
I loved Rush, he is kind and try his best to please Serena all while being honest about his predicament. Despite his dire circumstances, he won’t trick her but is she ready to cast aside her own expectations or is a compromise between them possible… 4.5 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by one of the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.

Rush and Serena make a great couple. I would love to see this book as a movie. They fall in love very quickly and don't seem to want to be. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited.
Another delightful story in the Seasons of Love series! This time it's Serena and Rush's story and what a merry chase she gives him.
Serena is different from her sisters, she prefers being outdoors and using her bow and arrow instead of dancing and doing embroidery. She's a free spirit and even though she knows she needs to marry one day, she wants someone who will see her for who she is. Rush needs to find a wife with a large dowry to save his estate and he decides to pursue Serena, much to her consternation! I really enjoyed how the author handled their story.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Serena is headstrong, feisty & never runs from anything but she’s run from Rush. Rush was neglected as a child as his parents had no time for anyone else as they were so wrapped up in each other so he’d like to marry for love. I loved both of them & how they came to know each other & realise what was important. I loved their journey to a HEA, which was full of ups & downs & made for a very entertaining read. I’m loving the Maxwell sisters falling in love & look forward to Samantha’s story My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Another sweet, fun, humorous & romantic romp at the house party the Maxwell Family is attending. Serena has agreed to marry the Earl of Rushton "Rush" but knows nothing will come of it as her older sister is to marry him. Besides that, she doesn't want to marry unless it is necessary to help ease her brother's worry over settling all his sisters. But as time goes on, she tries to avoid seeing Rush & now her sister is in love with a duke - she can't give up her freedom!
Rush thought he had found someone lady to marry & her dowry would mend his depleted coffers & crumbling estate, but she has avoided him & he should try & find another lady to set his sights on. But the more he finds out about Serena & the more he is around her; he knows no one else will do - he doesn't just need her dowry; he is falling for her.
Rush & Serena's adventures, fun & antics is so entertaining but, in the end, a HEA is found & it left me smiling & feeling happy. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.
The Earl of Rushton is desperate for an infusion of funds, and the only way in which to avoid the encroaching crisis is to marry and to marry quickly to a well-dowered lady. Invited to a house party by Serena's aunt, where the purpose of matchmaking is no secret, Rush pursues one sister and when that does not work out, he discovers the hidden, but unconventional, beauty of Lady Serena. As he sets out to court her, he finds his efforts thwarted at every turn as Serena makes it clear that she is avoiding him. It takes the wise words from Serena's youngest sister to help Rush see things from Serena's point of view. This sweet romance brings out all the longing and desire to be loved for oneself and as Rush sets out to understand what Serena needs, his heart becomes involved in his endeavors as well. Although a sweet and fairly short romance, this novel is nevertheless tender as both Rush and Serena struggle to find middle ground. The book is a standalone and comes to a happy and successful conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
A Snowfall Sleigh Ride for Lady Serena, Book 3 of the Seasons of Love series, was about Lady Serena Maxwell, the third eldest of four sisters to Lord Tobias Maxwell, the Earl of Evans, and Lord "Rush", the Earl of Rushton. Rush needed a wife with a large dowry in order to refill the family coffers that his wastrel of a father had depleted. His errant father's creditors were breathing down his neck and he was about to lose everything. Thus he attended the Christmastide house party being thrown by the aunt of the Maxwell family in hopes of marrying the eldest sister, Sophie, only to find out her interest was in someone else...and his own interest was in her sister, Serena. Serena, though she had entered into an agreement with her sisters that they should each find a husband in order to secure their futures, as well as alleviate some of the pressure from their elder brother's shoulders, was really very nervous about the prospect of marrying. Although she longed to wed, for her marriage would be a trap, for she was unlike any other female member of the Ton. Where most girls liked to dance, paint, and play the pianoforte, Serena preferred to ride her horse, hunt, and do other activities that Society would frown at. She longed for freedom and she feared a husband would take that away from her. During a sleigh ride with Rush, Serena agreed to allow him to court her...and then promptly disappeared for several days, regretting her decision. When her brother learned of the tentative agreement between her and Rush, he gave them his permission to court, much to Serena's dismay This story was a bit unique. While there are many historical romance novels written about bluestockings, most don't go into such in-depth detail about the trials and tribulations of being one, nor do they show a male character so willing to court a bluestocking that he would go out of his way to put her at ease and incorporate her likes and dislikes into his way of living. Both Serena and Rush took their time in getting to know each other's likes and dislikes, with Rush approaching Serena as he would a skittish colt. I found Serena's inability to adapt a bit...farcical. Anyone who wants to achieve something in life has the ability to "go with the flow" and learn new things in order to make their life work. Serena's fears were a bit childish and irritating. She seemed a little too immature for her age. While Rush bent over backward to accommodate her and her likes/dislikes, she was unwilling to do the same in return. I found that a bit selfish. So far, of all the books in the series, this story had the most angst and drama woven into the fabric of the storyline. While it was self-manifested due to Serena's insecurities, it was a bit of a let-down after the first two books were so much better. While Rush (why didn't the author give him a first and last name, darn it?!) went out of his way to give her everything she could possibly want, she threw it all back in his face, repeatedly and the romance of the story was downplayed because of it. There was more tension in this novel and it had little humor to alleviate it. While the book was good, unlike its two predecessors, it did not earn a five-star rating. It will join them in the Keeper for the Shelves collection, but only so as to not break up the series. Otherwise, it was a mediocre book.
Another successful story in the saga about four sisters, wishing to lighten the load on their brother as a new earl, in cahoots with their great aunt plan a winter house party inviting nobles looking for a spouse. They make it known they are eligible, well-endowed ladies in need of suitable husbands. Only a few days into the party both Sophie and Sarah have found their love mates, while Serena is avoiding the Earl of Rushton who she agreed could court her while trying to save him for her sister Sophie because her aunt had mismatched Sophie with the Earl's Duke friend. They all know Rush is desperate for a bride with a dowry to save his estate from the overwhelming debts his parents left. Serena's story is touching because she is such a competitive natural tomboy, loving riding, archery, and marksmanship with pistols. She knows she does not embroider, paint, and entertain like a true duchess would and has not even thought seriously about love and marriage until Lord Rushton sets his heart on her. The more tears, the more stars!
LOVING THIS SERIES!!! Snowfall Sleigh Ride for Lady Serena by Maggie Dallen and Katherine Ann Madison is book 3 in the Seasons of Love series and though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. What I just love about this story is how charming and sweet the characters are and the chemistry between Rush and Serena. Both Maggie and Katherine are amazing writers and I know that when I pick up their combine books is going to be special and just give you a warm feeling inside. This book is very well written and gives you the true feeling of the recency era. This story has an unconventional lady, a earl that is about to go to debtor prison & needs to marry a wealthy lady, thinking one is boring, running away, having fun in unconventional ways, needing freedom, setting one free, a competition, a snow picnic, archery and falling in love. I am highly recommending you read this book. So Sweet and Charming!!!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Another sweet read perfect for the season. Rush is in need of money and must marry, having lost one potential bride to his friend he has set his sights on Lady Serena. Serena has no intention of marrying but after a tentative acceptance and her bother's involvement, she concedes to allowing Rush to court her. Serena fears for her freedom and longs to be accepted for her unladylike hobbies but will Rush accept her as she is and can see be the countess he needs. Rush is quick to realize his feeling for Serena and her unladylike hobbies are a boon in his favor when he is more than willing to accept her as she is. I love his thoughtful gift to her. He is just perfect for her. Their journey is sweet but not without its bumps in the road toward their HEA. I can't wait for the next one!!
This Regency Romance novel is one of the sweetest, heartwarming, romantic reads. Serena and Rush showed how deeply they care for each other even before they got to know each other. They both are such unselfish, considerate, big hearted adorable pair. They considered each other's feelings and needs before committing to any kind of relationship. They made an effort that shows how much they care for the other person. This read will definitely make you wish for a love match like theirs. Your heart will melt as you read this book from beginning til the end. Such an sweet and adorable story. Can't wait to read Serena's sister Samantha's story. This is well written.
Rush is an Earl in need of a girl to save his estate with a large dowry! Serena feels at first she is more or less a placeholder for her sister! With this in mind Serena reluctantly agrees to a courtship! Rush is right to be confused because Serena ducks and hides from Rush like he's a bill collector! Serena is confused by what she feels for Rush! Rush is just confused because she says one thing and does another! She even tells him to court another! A simple courtship goes awry and it will take Serena's sister to help her figure it out! Lots of humour and Aha moments!
Another amazing story in this series.. She's unconventional, she doesn't like dinner parties, she doesn't like dancing, she prefers horseback riding, archery, and just overall different things than other ladies of the ton. He has his sights set on her and he won't give her up even if she's unconventional, he will meet her halfway. He doesn't need a conventional countess he just needs her to be his countess.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story.. I definitely look forward to the final book in this series!
This is the third book in the series and I am loving them all. They are so sweet and perfect for a Christmas read. They all carry on from the last but can be read as a standalone. I think this one may be my favouirte so far but truly they are all just perfect quick sweet reads. The characters are wonderfully written and the story is not full of fillers. The story is set in a lovely Christmas setting. There was no sex in this book and would be a wonderful read for a young reader. I received this as an ARC and freely give my review.
The 3rd book in this series and its not bad. This series has been interesting, simple, uncomplicated and focuses on a single sister HEA in each book. So bk1 was installed, bk 2 enemies to.livers and this one is a sort of coming of age especially for Serena the h. There are moments I would happily clobber her up.
Just like the previous 2 bks, the H carries the bk through. Rush, what a hero. I love all the effort he's taking.
It's a great continuation and looking forward to the magical 4th book.
Another delightful, fun story that has been the mainstay of this entire series!
Everyone knew he was to marry her sister, but somehow, she became engaged to him. How could that work? She was more of a tomboy, loving to be outside instead of balls and all that stuff!
He did need to marry and obtain a dowry, but he could not help his attraction to her. But she seemed to be avoiding him.. Would he be able to run her down and convince her?
A fun journey willed with humor and witty banter. Loved these two!
I enjoyed reading about Serena and Rush, the way the house party began with a sleigh ride. Her sister was supposed to be trying to get to know Rush but she found a duke instead. They made an agreement to court, then he found out what she likes to do and he planned a picnic in the snow and shooting. She was scared of her feelings for him so she ran and kept hidden avoiding him. They finally admitted their feelings for each other and got married as soon as they could. I highly recommend this book! 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
A perfect Christmas romance or it could of been if the Earl of Rushton hadn’t proposed to the wrong sister. Lady Serena is will to say I will because it will never get so far that she will really need to wed. Her family knows she has no plans to marry with her talents in other directions, not exactly ladylike endeavours. A magical romance from the start or at least it has the potential if Serena is willing to cooperate.
Lady Serena seems more focused on herself, not fitting or feeling suitable that she does not seem to want to know anything about Lord Rush, wanting to run away from life, courtship and Lord Rush. Lord Rush makes an effort to try and romance Lady Serena, looks for ways to make her happy while working his way through how his parents actions have made him willing to court a lady for her dowry.
Lady Serena's talents for archery and shooting may not have been normal for young ladies, but they reflected her unique personality and outlook. Lord Rushton found the woman of his dreams in Lady Serena, but convincing her he loved her just as she was posed a bit of a challenge.
4.5 stars but several typos really stood out. Otherwise, the plot was well paced and the content was good. I didn’t want to stop reading. The characters kept me interested, wondering how they’d resolved the problems which seemed overwhelming. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet, clean, Regency romance.
A truly heartfelt story! I really enjoyed this book and the deep emotion and thought that went into their courtship. I love Rush being a sensitive and thoughtful partner. Great book!
** I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. **
A Snowfall Sleigh Ride For Lady Serena is an entertaining historial romance by Katherine Ann Madison and Maggie M. Dallen. Team Madison/Dallen have provided readers with a well-written book populated with a fun, lovable cast of characters. Serena is bored by Lord Rushton. Her passions are riding, shooting guns and arrows. She has no idea how to be a countess. Rush knew he was failing at tempting Serena. Serena and Rush's story is packed with drama, humor and spice. I enjoyed reading A Snowfall Sleigh Ride For Lady Serena and look forward to my next book by these talented authors. This book is book 3 of the Seasons of Love series but can be read as a standalone. It is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The third sister, Serena, meets her match with the Earl. He is the gentleman all the girls were prepared to meet from the beginning of the house party. How she ends up with him you must read to find out.
It was a bit harder to figure out who Lady Serena is as a character- but this was like the other books in the series- cute, quick and clean read that just gives you enough to get a way for a bit into a fun hea done regency style
