Not quite what I was expecting when I purchased this book. I should have examined it a bit closer. It's not a bad book overall, there are a few chapters that will come in handy, but I really didn't learn anything that I didn't already know, and, in my opinion, there are better and easier ways to cast a circle. Most of the spells and incantations would be impossible for any modern-day witch in training to even do. I mean really, who is going to want to kill a pigeon or any other animal to accomplish anything? I wouldn't want to and no witch that I know nowadays would do harm to any animal at all. I feel this book is more for a witch who is more experienced and not just starting out and for one who prefers to use the old ways as opposed to modern day practices. It is a good book to keep on hand for reference at least. As it stands, I'll keep the book in my collection just for the few spells I didn't already know and for the chapter with the list of symbols and omens.

A couple good spells, many spells you shouldn’t touch. Anything about the dead or causing harm to others should be avoided.

Full of spells and techniques that are from closed practices or cultures that aren’t exactly open. Also uses a slur for Romani ppl instead of “Roma”/“Romani”. Wouldn’t trust this book with my life.
