Adamina MacLean has lost everything. First her home, then her parents. The halfway houses don't even want her. To survive the streets of New York she uses her wits and her fists and get the nickname "Right Hook Addie" for her trouble. Half-starved and destitute, she becomes a mail-order bride. Unfortunatly, her groom is one Eustace Fenner, Nowhere's most notorious resident. What's a girl to do? He's old, uncouth, and, well, not very nice. Into the fire indeed. How was she going to get out of this?
With a little help from the Weavers and their friends, of course.
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
Danny jr- Daniel and Ebbas son Addie- was living off the streets of NYC , with a nickname right hook Addie.
I enjoyed reading this engaging story that is well written with unforgettable characters, including Dallen,Shona and the Dunnigans always fun! Their story has a loving HEA!
I was hoping ever since I read Tom Turner's tales that what happened did. I even emailed Miss Morgan to see if this was going to happen. Of course, she was tight-lipped about it. I just love reading about the Weavers, but out of all her characters, I'd love to meet Irene Dunnigan, the folks of Clear Creek, Nowhere, White's Stage Stop, and the folks of Creede, Colorado. There is so many stories for Miss Morgan to write. I'm still waiting on Tillie White's story in her Match makers in Time series. By the way, this was a great book and I loved all but one book. It was Esther Weaver's story. Enjoy!
A sweet story. Nineteen year old Addie had been on the streets of New York for several years, just surviving, starving and fearful. She came to Nowhere as a mail-order bride only to find her groom to be an old man, just out of prison. He made the mistake of swatting and pinching her on the rear and got his ears boxed. The Weaver family was on the railroad platform as well and Ebba Weaver took her home with them after paying back her mail-order price. Did Ebba have an ulterior motive?
Addie's love story with Daniel is not predictable and the subplot with Granny Mary and Harlan keep readers turning pages. as harvest time comes to the Weaver farm extra hands are always welcome. Addie's arrives with Ebba and her guests, but she has a massive chip on her shoulders and she had a huge amount of anger and paranoia. At the swimming hole she learns to place het trust in Daniel in more ways than one and they float together.
As each Weaver meets their match, I fall more and more in love with this whole beautiful family! Their love for each new person that joins the family brings ME joy. Not sure how that is, but it is. A community that loves unconditionally. Beautiful. Awesome. I so want to go there and be enveloped by the family. If you haven't read any Weaver story yet, you kind of need to. No kidding.
Visiting the Weavers is always interesting. Adamina/Addie could not have found herself in a more different atmosphere from her former home on the streets of NYC than with the Weavers in Washington. Kit Morgan continues to give us wonderful characters and a story line that compels you to keep reading to find out what will happen next. Addie will be a good addition to the Weaver family.
Addie decided to be a Mail order bride, had trouble with her Groom, Ebba Weaver and friends came in and rescued her, took her to the Weaver farm, she worked for them, her and Daniel got married. Thank you Kit Morgan.
A scared troubled girl stumbles into the mishmash of the Weaver clan and finds her place in the family. Love, faith and a tiny bit of mystery make reading this story a wonderful experience.
It was so rewarding to see Addie and Daniel find their happy ever after and for her to finally realize that she had God on her side always. A wonderful family with great friends.
Not one of of my favourite Weaver stories. I felt Addie was just full of self pity, even when he told her about Phoebes experiences she still felt sorry for herself. No one had it as bad as Addie.
