SFS Stories is a throwback to the golden age of fantasy and science fiction. Think of authors like Bradbury, Clarke, Asimov, and the sci-fantasy pulp magazines that published their delectable stories. This issue debuts with twelve dark fantasy tales for lovers of flash fiction. While some of the characters you’ll meet are driven by avarice or selfishness, others possess more benevolent sentiments like love and devotion. All are delightful to read. Stories Bill Adler, J.A. Taylor, Rod Castor, J. Charles Ramirez, Regina Clarke, Nicholas Jessee, Benjamin Bratz, Iro Tragianou, Carmen Paczka, Francesca Lembregts, Chris M Noonan, and Alex Kilcannon.
J.A. Taylor started believing he could write when he won the first short story contest he ever entered. He enjoys writing flash fiction stories with O. Henry style twists. He is the creator of SciFiShorts.pub & FantasyShorts.pub, and coiner of Centinas and Pentinas. Get his newsletter at jataylorwrites.com or write with him at sfswriters.com.
A wonderfully dark and intriguing collection of tales. I am not a huge fan of fantasy but theses writers certainly stirred in me an emotion of morbidity and dread. I also like this concept of short stories, bouncing around various charities places and themes, in a small reading period.
